Hey guys, I just received the new Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, replacing my Arctic Wireless, and when using 3.5mm jack in Line Out i get a large hum/buzz from my speakers. This wasn't an issue on the old headset. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Just got my Nova Pro wired today and finally got a chance to get them set up, so far love the fit of them and they sound amazing listeng to music. Coming from the Astro A50's, sound is super clear, the A50's are louder but don't sound as clean. About to fire up a couple games to see how they do in game.

It could hardly be simpler as far as I can tell. Pretty neat and clean. You can adjust chatmix on the headset or on the base station. I’m using it with my PC wirelessly, not on a console.

It uses two standard usb-c inputs so moving it between systems would be trivial.

(only one is needed for pc, both are used for Xbox).

If you have the cash to spend and want to be able to set custom key switch actuation for different profiles, go for the Pro. If you don't really care about the adjustable actuation or prefer a more clickly key switch like a Blue or Brown instead of a linear switch like a Red, then go for the Apex 7 and save some money

Besides the option for the Omnipoint adjustable switches on the Pro, it's the same as the 7

I’m trying to find a keyboard from steelseries but i can’t make up my mind between the Apex 5, Apex 7 if you have any guidance what would you go for?

If you have the money, I'd say go for the 7 since it's fully mechanical keyboard instead of a hybrid kind of mechanical, kind of membrane switch that the 5 has. Fully mechanical will feel a lot better when typing, plus with the 7 you have the option between different switch types where as the 5 only comes with blue clicky switches. If you don't like super clicky and loud switches you also have the option of going with a Red linear switch will be quieter but doesn't have a tactile bump, a Brown switch which is kind of the middle ground between linear and clicky with a small tactile bump, or a full blue mechanical switch is super clicky with a tactile bump but some people find to be too loud. It's really just personal preference

I'm really tempted to measure on my headphone measuring rig the Sonar Warzone Preset, and then bypass Sonar and see how close I can get the DAC EQ to match. That way console gamers have similar competitive edge withing needing Sonar

I mean jesus these prismcaps are the BOMB, they looks so so so good on my Apex Pro TKL buuut they aren't needed. I'd say they feel the same as the stock keycaps (for the most part), but they are really nice to have and look sick with custom keyboard lighting setups.

as of for the "is it good at typing", it's amazing for typing. you can customize the actuation so the key either registers when you barely press it, all the way to you needing to press the key all the way down in order for it to actuate. I personally like keeping mine at 5 to 4, sometimes 3. but other people may like 6 to 7 more. some even like customizing specific keys like the spacebar and stuff. you can do whatever 👀

(oh and the lower the actuation number, the shorter the travel distance needed to actually get the key to register)

I mean the thing is though too. the switches themselves are super SUPER small and slim on those. it's also a clicky switch, not linear so it has a click to it. with the Apex Pro TKL there is no trigger point, it's just a smooth press (aka linear lol) so it will feel different ofc, but going from a macbook with the same switches (well, similar) as the magic keyboard, to a full pc with an apex pro tkl, I really thanked myself and so did my wrist lmao

Man I"m not even sure. a TON of patience and a WHOLE lot of isopropyl alcohol, or preferably distilled water on a wash cloth and drench the thing. if it's non conductive, distilled water leave the keyboard unplugged and out for like- idfk 5 or 10 minutes or so to let the capacitors drain (if there are any) and go nuts as I mean, distilled water should be non capacitive no matter the type soooo you could literally submerge it THEORETICALLY and nothing bad should happen. but then again this is oil so your gonna need a towel to rub off the oil as water won't get oil off by itself with no other factors

I would recommend finding a way to retry the firmware update possibly with an older version of the firmware

The ANC is nothing special. But it depends on your preferences. The new headset is definitely designed with being used in more places than just in your gaming

It looks nicer and feels solid. I could take that headset with me to travel almost.

You need to pull up the software and tune it in, the AI noise cancellation works really well. I wouldnt say it is equal with a studio mic but it is close. You just need to play with the settings abit like I said

Yes the transmitter is showing it’s getting audio on the left and right headphone bar but I hear nothing out of the headphones and when I do it’s blaring loud and can’t adjust it at all and to go along with that I cannot get the mic to work at all

If your Nova's are quiet on XBOX, you still have to go to your xbox audio setting shortcut and increase headset volume there
