The 7P+ is meant to be a PS5 headset which is why it has a sidetone dial on the headset since the PS5 doesn't support separate Game and Chat audio sources. The 7+ has the Chatmix slider on the headset

There are teardown guides on the internet, but unless you really know what you're doing it's not recommended. Opening up the headphones will also invalidate your warranty since it only covers accidental damage and not tampering

That's how I bough my 7G back in the day and that's why I shifted from my Apex Pro for something simpler one year ago.

I need true on-device profile and plug'n'play functionality. Better keys and stabs are worth 10K softwares IMHO.

Razer is too keen to grab people in their ecosystem rather than offering single-handedly well-studied products most of the time. This really put me off.

Even their earbuds, which I used for gaming on my laptop... started suffering all sorts of issues after a software update...what's the point in buying feature-loaded products if they stop working after supposedly beneficial updates?

Yes, bad things happen to every brand...I got a faulty Sensei Ten at launch, a faulty iPhone 6s at launch, a faulty PS4 at launch...it happens with every brand.

But what happens in the long run and after every RMA speaks volumes. Razer failed with me in that aspect.
