to perform factory reset, use a paperclip to press and hold the button in the pinhole for about 5 seconds, then release and repair with the dongle. if the dongle continues to be a problem I would get a replacement for it.

I've seen it happen where having 2 different sticks of RAM causes some sort of error where it won't boot

not as a macro specifically from what I can see but you can set one of the extra buttons on the mouse to have the scroll up or scroll down function with a set number of repeats (or toggle repeat)

its just a lithium ion battery
typical battery stuff applies to it, try to not overcharge it so take it out of the transmitter when you notice it says its fully charged, & dont puncture the battery
