Depends on what platforms you want to use it on. The most versatile option would be the Arctis 7+ with the USB-C dongle, but it doesn't have Bluetooth. The Arcits 9 has 2.4ghz and Bluetooth, but no USB C dongle or quick charge

I've been using the 9 for a few months now after coming from using the 5 for over 3 years and it's definitely an improvement in terms of both build quality and comfort

Hi everyone, happy to find this place! Just got a SS Mousepad and using the audio visualizer tool, I did a bunch of research into and only hit dead ends - specifically with the UV Meter feature that seems to be have been added in an update last couple years. This UV Meter now basically overrides all other functionality, and sorta cripples any customization it once had

Every bit of googling I did where people were asking about this, was never answered. Just searched this entire discord and nothing shows up for "UV Meter" or even "UV"....so hoping someone in here knows of a solution or alternative....Thanks!

TLDR - UV Meter in blue circle only allows for the 2 colors, low and high, therefore the lighting only takes on those colors based on the UV levels. All features in the red circle are essentially moot point and don't do jack except show the visualization in the preview window.....

The 7 and the Pro are essentially the same keyboard. Only difference is that the Pro has the option for omnipoint switches with adjustable actuation. It's a neat feature that I use on my Pro TKL but if you want a more traditional typing experience with red, blue, or brown switches then go with the 7

The different between the 7 and the 7 Ghost is that the Ghost comes preapplied with double shot pbt keycaps which do feel a whole lot better than the standard ABS Apex caps. They're essentially just a pre-applied set of white Prism Caps. I'm also using the Prism Caps on my Pro TKL and they feel amazing. Definitely recommend them over the standard caps

If you like how it looks then go with the Ghost. The Omnipoint switches are kind of just a gimmicky feature, and they're only available in a linear version that feels a whole lot like regular red switches. If you want blue or brown switches then go wit the Ghost

The Omnipoints are nice to have, but if you aren't super picky about your typing experience then standard switches with the 7 will be fine

Red switches are usually people's go-to switch type which have a smooth feel to them, blue switches have a clicky bump which makes them louder, and brown switches are kind of a combination of the smooth reds but also have a bit of a bump when bottoming out the switch like blues

I'm not sure if the ghost is limited edition or here to stay permanently. It should say on the website if it's a limited run. If it doesn't then that usually means there will be restocks

Most are adjustable, I'd go for Arctis 7, 9, Pro, or Prime depending on your budget and preferences. 3 and 5 from experience are a bit bigger and looser, while on the others there's a good bit of variability in size with the velcro ski strap design, you can even add custom earcup cushions from a 3rd party to make them a bit tighter horizontally if needed. I'm currently rocking Pros with extra thick ear cushions and they're the comfiest darn things.

Unfortunately I don't have much experience with other brands of headsets so I couldn't say how they compare. If you have one nearby you might be able to find a pair to try at a Best Buy.

I can say that the ski strap design does give you the ability to go quite a bit smaller than a fixed band design like the Void headset you have

well as I mentioned the 3 and 5 are a bit looser from my personal experience, particularly around the ears, and you can tighten the headband with the velcro as far a vertical size goes. However, with the default ear cushions from SteelSeries, all the others are about the same (minus the arctis 1, which I only recommend if you have a tight budget) and I find these (Pros specifically) to be middle of the road as far as pressure goes. I actually like a bit more pressure, hence the extra thick earcups, but if you do indeed have a smaller head I would think that the standard ones would suit you fairly well. As far as which model to go for, it depends on what platform you use and whether or not you want wireless

kind of, depends on which parts youre wanting to put the skin on

main problem is the power buttons on the APW arent on the wired arctis pro, & the skins for the ear plates have a chance of maybe overlapping on the rgb on the arctis pro, so if youre only wanting for the ear plates, it should be fine, but if you want for around the entire ear cup, there will be a hole where the power button for the apw is

Playstation yes, Xbox with Bluetooth or 3.5mm maybe, but I don't remember if it has chat support. PC and mobile are good too. You can check the specs on the product page for compatibility

All Steelseries headsets work with a wire, but only some work wireless. Of the ones that work wireless, only the 3, 9, and Pro Wireless have Bluetooth dual connect. 7 is dongle-only for wireless.

Ah, yeah. They never seem to get put on sale. I will mention that the 9s are newer in terms of when they were developed and released, so if you end up going with those you're really not missing much compared to what you get with the Pros.

My brother has the 3s and when I compare them to my wired Pros on the GameDAC there's not a huge difference, for most things you'd never notice. The 9s are probably better than the 3s so the difference is even less.

The 3, 5, 7, and 9 all use the same drivers so they're going to sound virtually identical. The only major difference would be the audio compression with Bluetooth on the 3 vs 2.4ghz wireless on the 7 and 9, the 7 and 9 do objectively sound better wireless because of that

The 5s will competitively sound the "best" because of the wire and no compression happening to transmit a wireless signal, but unless you have really sensitive ears or are an audiophile (in which case you wouldn't by SteelSeries for audio), and unless you have each headset right next to each other and are actively comparing them, the differences are negligible

Mostly comes down to feature set between the range more so than sound quality

The Arctis 3 doesn't have support for SteelSeries Engine but there are third party EQ softwares you can download that will work for adjusting the mic

I'm having some issues with my arctis 5 2019 edition regarding the RGB not syncing. my steelseries is updated to latest still persist, tried the old steelseries engine, my RGB is sycing live no issue, not sure there's bug with the software but the old steelseries engine keeps notifying me or auto updating the software. appreciate your feedback here
