Battery life, usb-c can be added pretty easily. Obviously internals would change slightly but it’s not a totally new headset.

Hello, I have recently bought the SteelSeries Arctis Pro + GameDAC, but I am just enable to find the right settings for me. Every EQ settings that I have found on internet for this headset it's just seems to be not for me.
Music sound excelent on this headset, but when I play CS:GO (I bought the Arctis PRO+GameDAC mainly for CS:GO) the sound it's awful sad to say that.
I just can't seem to figure it out where the footsteps / gunshots comes from.
The sound in CS:GO seems to be very distant, I don't really know how to describe it but it feels like there is an echo.

They'll probably try and do some mini-drops every once in awhile they just won't have as much stock as normal. if the headset causes discomfort 1000% return it, you might find success with the arctis 9 rather than the pro, or theres always the wired arctis pro + gamedac that has better audio than the arctis pro wireless but its wired so its lighter

I'm assuming you've already tried just the simple adjust band so that the ski-strap supports all the weight without the metal part being close to your head?

That's how I have my 9s adjusted. The metal part is a good .5 inch or so above my head so the only thing I feel is the cloth band

The Smiley preset is good for general use listening for videos and music and such, the Reference preset is good for shooter games to hear footsteps and other low noise sound cues. Other than that EQs are pretty much totally up to your own ears so just play around with adjustments within those two presets until you get something you like

The Prime is wired and uses an analog 3.5mm audio jack meaning it doesn't have software support through SteelSeries GG. it does however have better drivers than the 7, but the 7 is wireless and the difference in audio quality is negligible if you aren't an audiophile

So it really comes down to preference and whether you want a wireless headset or not

Software has really gone to crap with GG/Moments/Sonar.

I've never once had an issue with Engine, but as soon as they rolled out GG>Moments>Sonar my user experience has tanked.

My current hellscape is that somehow Sonar is enabled through GG even though I never opted into the beta so I can't even turn it off through GG. It replaces all of my audio devices with Sonar no matter how many times I disable Sonar in my audio devices menu.

IDK if the "Engine 3" download just gives you GG, it did for me on Mac a while ago. Under Miscellaneous there's Engine V3.4.5 which should work.

even after it forced me to update to steelseries GG

literally last version (10.0) worked relatively perfect

the 11.2 update broke everything
