GG is a 357 MB download and you're not required to have an account to use the Engine part

Sonar does require an account but that's mostly due to it being available to any headset no matter its brand

The easiest way to remove the ear cup is by twisting it until you hear cracking and then pull it away from the headband.

Then the internal cable that you are required to cut will be visible

they're extrtemely good, there's little to no reason to upgrade unless you've managed to damage the drivers.

The only somewhat sensible upgrade would be to a proper 7.1 surround system, with something like the Soundblaster X3 to bypass Dolby Digital licensing, and a full, proper 7.1 Surround Sound system.

The Nova Elite doesn't exist as a Xbox only headset, there's only 1 version. Two USB-C ports does everything but Xbox and one can switch between everything or Xbox.

So if your Elite headset doesn't work on PC you're either doing it wrong or something is broken

Why does SteelSeries give Europeans a 2-year warranty (Spain gets 3) but gives everyone else a 1-year warranty. The US is 1/3 of SS's revenue. Why does SS have this policy? Treating your biggest source of income as your bottom tier customer. Can you explain beyond the usual SS response? I think we all know SS's "response".

Has anybody else experienced this issue before? I'm trying to install the updated firmware on my arctis Nova 7X headset and it refuses to detect the headset as connected, yet it shows it as "100% Charging. I tried 2 different computers and 3 different charging wires, USB 2.0 and 3.2 ports, hard reset, re-install, etc... Nothing changed and it never lets me install the upgrade.

I checked and the dongle is set on USB and not Xbox mode.

For the rest, though, my Windows 11 recognizes it and I can use it just fine with Discord and my other apps, daily browsing activities and paired with my phone, so I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle to customer service about the issue?

How are the "SteelSeries Arctis Nova Elite" compared to like "Astro A50" or "Audeze Maxwell 2"?

I have an older Arctis model that I really like, but liked the hardline switchover, vs the newer ones with the software audio switchover. I also liked the swappable batteries. That said, any thoughts on the Arctis Nova Elite compared to other high end gaming headsets, or even just thoughts about the Nova Elite in general?

I may have meant "Arctis Nova Pro Wireless", not sure how the Elite compares in quality, but seems the price is at least 200$ different

Bought these nova 3x headsets yesterday and I have to say it's not been a good experience so far. I have a macbook so using the gg app is limiting, can't access sonar because it only works on PC. And also I can't edit my custom EQ on the phone app so if I'm playing a game and it doesn't sound the way I want, I can't edit on the fly, I have to plug the dongle into my mac before I'm able to edit and then select on the phone app... Why can't things just be easier 😕

Sorry to hear this, have you opened a ticket on the website about the sound issue? I never had that, could be just a simple user issue.
Everyone's head is different, but the NP Wired was one of the more "comfortable" cans I've wore.

For the Discord issue, make sure you have the right output selected.
I preferred an install without Sonar, you might like this too. (there's a master toggle switch for Sonar in the settings of GG)
