Treat the base station like a Nintendo 64 cartridge and blow the dust out of the back of the base station where the cord goes in to power the unit. Mine fired right up.

I figured this out on my own for anyone who’s wondering. I will never buy another steel series product for as long as I live. Customer service is pathetic. So anyone who is looking but hasn’t bought, don’t buy.
