I mean, that's highly dependent on how you would value it, they're definitely a massive upgrade over the nova pros, just up to you whether you think that $600 price tag is worth it

The anc and transparency is a hell of a lot better than the nova pros, and the new carbon fiber drivers provide a massive amount more detail and clarity, along with the significantly higher frequency response of the headset in wireless mode and the dac upgrades, makes it very well worth it in my opinion

The price tag though is very steep, and i can definitely see how it would be a major turn off, i was slightly hesitant over it

I just wanted to share my excitement. I'd been looking for the Apex (model 64145) for a while, SteelSeries' former flagship keyboard, which ceased production in 2015. It arrived today!

It's a beautiful and unique keyboard. This one has barely been used and still shines brightly, as if it were brand new. I was able to snag it for the fantastic price of €30. As you can see in the photo, I'm already setting it up for my programming work. I'm incredibly happy with it!

Does the audio device for the "Arctis Nova Pro Wireless" like auto switch or disable back to another audio device when the headphones aren't on/connected or would I need to manually switch between audio sorces when switching between my headset and speakers? When using with windows I should say.

I currently still have the Arctis Pro Wireless headphones, which i like because they have swappable batteries, an optical output/passthrough for my speakers, and the passthrough defaults to my speakers when the headphones are turned off. My only issue is that the batteries I believe are "going bad" to the point that my headset likes to randomly disconnect before the batteries are actually "empty".

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in Sonar. Simply click on your devices in the Mixer and open the Device Manager in Sonar.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same Device Manager menu. Simply drag and drop to set the order of devices.

Gotcha, I had some issued with sonar to the point that I just disabled it for my arctus pro and just use the base speaker/com channels. Not sure if the new headsets require sonar usage, but the arctis pro dont. Though I haven't used sonar in like a year at least, other than to disable it if it somehow turned itself back on

My main issue with sonar was that it didn't provide an "overall" audio output, just ones for regular/game/coms/etc so I wasn't able to really "control" the overall volume with the windows output slider or my keyboard volume controls

The only way around that was to just set everything to the same channel and set that as my audio output, which kinda seemed to defeat the purpose. Not sure if they've fixed that or if im just not using the software correctly

I have a issue when I turn off my computer and turn it back on these elites will not connect to the bluetooth ever again, it will say somethin along the line, (Your bluetooth devices are not connecting, make sure again it is.) I try everything that in the end that I have to disconnecting them and repairing them back to the computer.

You just turn them on and make sure that hub things plugged in, it should and suppose to remember everything? Like what step am I doing wrong?

Hmmm some firmware updates are sensitive to power or signal drops witching USB ports (especially to a rear USB 2.0 port) often fixes it. Try another port for your device

3. While holding “O,” plug the keyboard back in.

Unplug the Apex Pro Mini from your PC. Close SteelSeries GG completely (right-click its icon in the system tray → Quit).
Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and end any SteelSeries processes left over.

Hold down the “O” key and the SteelSeries function key (SS key) together. While holding both, plug the keyboard back in. Keep holding for 5–10 seconds, then release. Your keyboard should now be in recovery mode GG will show it as needing a firmware update.

We’re gunna run it again!!! Open SteelSeries GG → Engine. You’ll see the orange warning you posted.Click Start and let it run. Don’t touch anything or unplug during the process.

From my POV even the highest rated feature requests in the channel are mostly not implemented even the ones that make sense and wouldn't require a lot of work (Basic Filters e.g.). Is there a possibility so I can just create a Pull Request that is being reviewed by the team and they only adjust my changes so development of new features is faster? (Basically OpenSource so Developers like me can contribute?)

Btw if anyone's curious on fixing their arctis nova pro's mic, either turn off sonar and turn it back on again, or set all your audio settings to the discord certified one instead of sonar, for some reason sonar is killing my microphone on mine and it doesn't appear to be a headset issue, just an FYI for others experiencing this issue (for clarification this is about the nova pro wireless mic sounding like you're in a can/fuzzy)

Sonar is fire, using an old Panasonic Sa ak22 bookshelf system, and sonar works flawlessly. Spatial audio especially makes them sound way better
