Because they’re falling out of the race for best competitive keyboard by always being late to features and not being as good at some stuff as other Hall effect keyboards… analog mode is a feature that is basic for any HE keyboard, even on random ones but still not on steelseries. They’re 100% gonna drop out of that race if they don’t step up their game. Like I love my apex pro tkl but I’d trade it for a wooting in a heartbeat.

i'm not 100% sure but here's a few things I can think of:

• you're right that macros don't work over BT, but I believe the binding you're trying to do is fair game and should work on BT mode
• HOWEVER, to the point above, keep in mind that changes to the mouse won't save to the mouse over BT. so if you want to rebind a button, you should wire it in and make the changes over USB and then switch back to BT
• if the above fails, there might be a failsafe on the mouse that prevents the CPI button from being rebound if there isn't another button set to CPI. i know this was an issue ages ago on one of the rival mice, but maybe it's still happening on the aerox mice? not sure

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

Just an update about this. Support is quick but lacks so much depth. I once again explained the issue, mentioning what the problem is and providing some evidence of it happening. They asked me to recalibrate the device. After that didn't work, I was asked if it was an issue out of the box or a firmware update.

I clearly stated this was a firmware update issue and happened immediately after I updated my keyboard on the gg app. Next email back was an automated response to RMA the product 🤦‍♂️

I really don't know what to do now. No matter how much I explained that this is a software issue, they want me to destroy my keyboard and file for a new one. Ive had this keyboard for years, working perfectly until the recent updates which clearly break it software wise.

There really isnt anywhere else for me to go since support wont help me. I don't want to cut the cord of my perfectly fine keyboard and wait for a new one, probably resulting in the same issues.

Fixed infinte loading sonar by fully uninstalling GG, shutting off my PC, turning it back on, and reinstalling GG. Seems like a weird bug with windows. Hope this helps.
