Really feeling like I got played buying the new Arctis Nova 5. They've legit been the most frustrating headset I've ever owned.

Just extremely frustrating how they don't function with any other steelseries products and that they're wireless only so I can't even use a cable to plug them into my gamedac. Also they really love to randomly reset which forces me to reinstall Sonar so I can disable the sidetone since theres no way to do it otherwise. I was hoping they could pair up to the Nova Pro wireless receiver since its also 2.4ghz based but no luck with that either.

They should really update their website with the claim that all Arctis headsets work with the gamedac lol.

For some reason sonar keeps unrouting certain apps after I close them

for example when I launch war thunder I have to set it too the game channel every time, but with fallout 76 its in there automatically

It's most likely a Windows thing but you can try routing through its options

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

If you are having issues with routing not working or apps moving back to another device after dragging them, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

Why is the game channel now controlling my windows volume? I usually kept that on 40%, now I have to use streamer mode to control it... ( I don't stream much, but I like the sound routing and eq)

I also can't just mute the game channel when I tab out to watch youtube or something cause now the game channel is the master channel for some reason...
