You can factory reset on the oled menu, if it's randomly spamming try turning up the actuation for the keys that get spammed

Also be very careful don't even open cans on drink next to a keyboard with optical switches imo, they are very easily suceptable to liquid damage due to the nature of how optical switches work

Recently , 15 mins ago, new firmware came out and my headset goes of by itself , on station it says firmware update available.
When i try to update it in gg nothing happens , both status are connected ,press the update button and nothing.
Now should I write to support so that I can use my headphones or what?

Steelseries should make a keyboard with replaceable keys like Asus Rog Azoth or others similar brands. I had some issues with my wireless TKL & I don’t like USB C as switch 2,4 GHz. It has never worked with my usb 3.0 switch.

When Before they disappeared I was able to ONLY lower the game sound volume and media and aux would continue playing JUST FINE without having their volumes also lowered

@rich pollenwell my explanation is steelseries sonar is not a hardware driver it is virtual which you would select in like an app like discord so that you get the sonar enhancements thats why in sonar you select your realtek driver or arctis driver

Does anyone know what could cause audio to quiet in discord chats randomly? I've been looking through Sonar and everything, I have the Arctis 7+ Wireless; but randomly in discord when a friend or someone is talking it will make them get so quiet that I cant even understand or hear them. My arctis 7+ dongle can't connect to my pc anymore. It worked for more than a year and it "broke" today. I connected it then it disconected after 5min, now its even harder to make my pc detect it. When it works, its only for a minute. SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

I am struggling with my headset/GG/Discord trying to audio mixing on my incoming sounds to the headset and its driving me crazy. Is there any way to turn this off?
It'll nearly try to mute the audio from the stream if someone is talking, or it'll try to separate the background music/sound effects from a stream from the voices from the stream. and it can't. It's so bad. Any way to fix this would be much appreciated

Wait I think I figured it out... the side tone got louder as I increased the volume, so I just removed side tone in the app. I literally thought the master volume knob on the left was for side tone only ("a cool feature", I thought) so I just turned it off in case I need it again

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

I use the Nova pro wireless as headphones only and a seperate microphone, the thing is, i want to use sonar for my microphone and the base station equalizer for my headset (the smiley profile) this isnt possible because for some reason it locks the equalizer on sonar. My friend doesnt have this and has the exact same headset and mic as me.

Yeah I was going to start troubleshooting on my own but I know a friend who also has the headset and he immediately reproduced this

At least changing volume fixes this but yeah it's silly and should be fixed because the display just stops refreshing altogether, even battery level, until the volume knob is touched

it's kinda fun but completely unscientific. Also depends on your sound setup and any effects being applied (i.e. virtual surround / existing EQ can change how the sound gets processed, so for such fun tests you should disable all processing)

You only need https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/ for any pair headphones really

apply the flat equalization to make the sound (mostly) the same across your headsets, then apply whatever EQ you like on top of it
