It's software, there will always be issues for some, it's literally impossible to avoid. There might be a conflight between GG and something else that makes it happen and you just so happen to have closed GG and then conclude GG is the cause

How are you connecting? Bluetooth seems to run a lot smoother for myself on the latest update. The included "wireless adapter" was fine before, but latest version of gg, seems to have trouble connecting using this.

Check your windows settings. Windows 11 has a weird habit of activating "listen" on mic when you use a "new device", and when you use sonar, and it splits channels, windows (specifically windows 11), treats each of these as a "new audio device"

Press and hold Bluetooth button when turning on until it flashes more rapidly. This is "new connection mode". Remove the device from the list of known devices, and reconnect.. Not a guaranteed fix, but it seems to work for me when mine play up 👍

Depends on your mic really. The nise cancellation can reduce volume in order to "filter" background noise, some voices are soft enough for this to regster as background noise sadly

From what I saw previously you have Windows 11. Firstly open up settings. Then click on the tab "sound." Scroll down to advanced and press on "More sound settings" this should open your sound control panel

From there, what you wanna do is go to recording on the top, press the mic you actively use, not the steelseries one, and go to levels. Check if your mic is 100%, and then you should be able to boost it

That's typically a processing issue... nothing steelseries can do about that buddy

You might experience small amounts of audio delay, because of clearcast. but if yourefind with that, there is no input delay. Input delay can only be caused by software or hardware that physically affect your inputs, like Vertical Sync

however since I see you're a fortnite-er, it may take some strain on your laptop, but because you have a 4050 I dont see it effecting your CPU too bad

Sonar hasn't been the issue for me. maybe go into your mic settings, taskbar bottom right, right click the audio icon, click sound settings, scroll down to more sound settings and it will open up the sound menu, right click on your input and go to the end of it and disable these or enable them depending on current settings it may help

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

No? You have all of the ones you're supposed to. If you would be able to put Sonar Gaming there you'd create an audio loop. The playback is the audio output for game, like your headset. The Sonar Gaming audio device is the input for it

i know people have been commenting about moments clips being glitchy, but ever since I reset my PC last weeked, my audio glitches out when moments is running in the background.
Just it running in the background messes up my game audio.
Was working perfectly fine last week so maybe something changed on my computer. I disabled game mode, turned on the enhanced settings, updated drivers, opened moments as administrator etc etc

I've been using an Arctis 7+ for about half a year now. Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement headset?
I'd prefer something in the same price-class so i don't have to pay extra on top of my refuns and a USB interface is a must.
Bonus points if it has something like chatmix that actually works and doesn't require an account for datamining reasons.

Whatever you're connecting to obviously needs to have bluetooth. You can follow the quick start booklet that came with the headset for instructions on how to pair.
In windows 10 you can go to the settings app > devices > bluetooth & other devices. There you click the big + button, select bluetooth, and then select your headset

Hi all I have a really bizarre issue with my Arctis 7 headset. Turned it on to game with friends this evening and i'm not getting any chat audio, I don't hear anyone. I am getting a strange message in the sonar app which stays there even if I change the playback type.
Hubby has same headset and we've swapped dongles, my dongle works fine on his. I've reinstalled SteelSeries GG app twice, and rebooted my PC - all to no avail.
Can anyone help at all? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Hey all! I have the SS nova pro wireless. Recently with either a windows update or SS app update my headset no longer defaults as the main audio. I dont have external speakers plugged in. I make sure the headset is powered on before starting my PC and Sonar starts with my PC. I always end up having to go into the mixer and manually changing each audio output to the SS headset from a monitor speaker. Any idea how to get the headset to be the main default for audio again? Its not the end of the world just would rather not have to change audio devices each time.

SteelSeries Sonar has “Device Fallback” that will automatically switch the outputs on Sonar.

Fallback can be triggered when a device is unavailable (such as when booting your PC or unplugging a device), or it can switch outputs if it detects if a Nova headset is turned off, and automatically switch to speakers.

This fallback functionality can be adjusted or turned off by going into the settings in GG. You can find it under Settings > Sonar > Backup Device Switch.

You can also adjust the order in which devices fall back to. This can be adjusted in the same options menu. Simply scroll down to see the full list of devices.

Anyone have the arctis nova pro wireless? I’m not sure why but once my headset dies, I go to swap the batteries and put the dead one in the station, and then suddenly the base station shuts off and doesn’t boot up unless I take the dead battery out. hi, so i wrote yesterday how my artis nova pro wireless wouldt play any sound then i got it to fix by turning on bluetooth, well today it happen again, so i did the same turn on bluetooth, but this time its not working.. so now i have a headset not playing any sound even if steelseries GG is saying it has sound.. what do i do ?

so i just tested bluetooth from headset to phone and that works, i can hear the sound.. but my pc sound still not working.

this bug started happening after new update.. couple days ago. i really hope you guys fix this soon or i have to get a different headset.. not having sound working is sorta a big deal? lol

okay just found out why.. just for the future if any has this issue.. i dont know why the newest update is doing this on steelseries GG program.. but in sonar it now changes to Realtek Digital output so you just need to switch back to headphones (artis nova pro wireless) . hope you guys will update the flaw, and hope this will help someone having issues.
