so just from watching a few youtube videos, it seems like the equalizer stuff doesn't matter all too much. You can't just make footsteps louder or anything like that. Usually people just recommend to try out any presets the headset may have pre-installed, and see if you like any of them. I'm gonna keep looking but on the surface it seems like just an extra, inessential tool that does not provide an advantage in competitive games.

Sonar keeps removing my Audio Outputs once i restart my PC. Im using GoXLR (the big one), Sonar is starting as admin and my outputs are like this :

Game    > System (TC-Helion GoXLR)
Chat    > Chat (TC-Helion GoXLR)
Media   > Musik (TC-Helion GoXLR)

everything works fine once they are applied again and again, but after restart its all defaulted to my monitors xD wich is hella stupid

any fellow nova pro wired version owners, how has your experience with the leatherette pads been and have you switched pads to another type (whether it be the sport mesh on SS website or WickedCushions)? If you've switched pads how has it affected the sound quality compared to the stock pads?

As someone with pretty heavy hearing damage I don't mind the stock pads as they really help with making the sound quality pop better than other headsets I previously had, however I do find myself adjusting the headset often with the clamp combined with the pads so I wanna see if perhaps I could benefit from changing the pads.

3 adds a USB DAC for PC use. More volume, cleaner sound, slightly better sound tuning overall thanks to the built in DSP to adjust the sound slightly

I've always liked optical switches, having used Roccat Vulcan pros for a while. The PBT caps on the Apex 9 with less noise/keyboard resonance were the biggest reason for me switching

There is a mute switch on the headset itself. Make sure that's not on. Then, try disabling Sonar. In Windows, assign the mic to the SteelSeries Microphone, and then see if windows picks it up. It should be fine there. Then you troubleshoot from there

Nova 3 is USB DAC - works on PC and PS5. It also has Aux fallback, which can plug in to Xbox controller. Blackshark is the same boat. HyperX Cloud II/Alpha is 3.5mm trrs only, which is both controllers and PC headphone jack

Try posting in support and see if people can help there, including myself. I've never had one of these not work with the mic. Can you plug the aux cord directly into PC without using the DAC? You want to make sure the mic works at the physical level before dealing with any DAC settings
