I don't know for sure so take this with a grain of salt but I don't think it's possible to make something like Sonar for consoles as it is now since you can't do the audio processing on console required

No it's a dac. Converts digital to analog. Usually game based dacs aren't super great Idk how good steelseries' is but your motherboard one is probably just as good

amps are completely different both functionally and conceptually as you need both for headphones to work. Your motherboard/laptop/phone/whatever usually has both just at different powers

I'm really struggling here, I've deleted drivers and re-installed them, i've followed all the steps for setting up Sonar and chatmix as per the support page on SS website, but when i use the "SteelSeries Sonar - Gaming (SteelSeries Sonar Virtual Audio Device) + the chat device and mic, they have no sound at all, using brand new Arctis 7 + , and if i use the none Sonar devices (in sound settings) then i have sound, but without the EQ and other software based stuff, also can't use the Chat volume and game volume separately, was using an older Arctis 7 till now, pre-Sonar , and it worked fine ... if i have any app open that plays sound, i can see the levels move in the GG app, but i still have no sound coming through to the headset

For analogue headsets like that, which doesn't come with a USB interface, I think a lot of the sound quality comes down to the quality of the sound device you plug it into. Plug it into a super cheap motherboard and get super cheap sound quality

Is there a known fix for game/chat mix for DAC2? The function is avaible in the DAC2 UI but doesnt do a thing. have to replug the device after booting pc to get it to work. From testing I know it doesnt matter if I use sonar or not. Hence I think its an firmware issue. Ill be making a support ticket as well but wondered is anyone knows a quickfix

But when i press on sonar it just turns gray and been sitting like that for hours now without anything happening. Ive reinstalled this bull** program 10x times NO JOKE. Hello Everyone, I joined because I just recently bought a Nova 7 and I can't make it work right, I tried youtube EQ setting videos tried bluetooth and dongle connect but I keep hearing crackling sounds during playback. I have to say I am not at all pleased with the sound quality of this headset. I am listening FLAC music with KMPlayer but it all sounds wrong. Steel series is like SIG Sauer, both have good quality and innovative products, but expensive and beta tested on the customer. I love my Nova Pro Wireless, but for the most expensive headset there is on the market, as of right now, everything should be thought out and top notch. The size abs placement of ANC inside microphones is ridiculous.

The pain/discomfort these numbs give just ruin the experience.

Engine/GG only registers headsets connected with USB as that is the only way for it to communicate with a headset. That doesn't work for an analogue headset
