My mic stopped working on my wired arctic nova pros, any suggestions? I think its a problem in the sonar software because my input/outputs devices used to be labeled Sonar headset or sonar microphone. Now its Just says arctic pro headset and microphone.

Ive tried setting all sorts of things to default in my sound control panel and nothing picks up sound from the microphone

Novas are garbage compared to the arctis. I warrantied my Arctis for a nova. Less comfortable. ANC bung literally against my ear. Switching sources is not as seamless as advertised. Can’t use Bluetooth mic while using it on console etc. can’t even swap the ear pads.

I’m looking for a little help from my cod warzone players here. It’s a new warzone 2.0. So maybe there will be a couple of updates in the sonar or from the developers of the game in the future to help level out the sound. But I’ve tried just about everything to be able to hear footsteps better. Sonar-on/off. Warzone/mw2 eq gear box drop down default/footsteps/warzone. In game audio mix PC/HeadsetBoost/HomeTheatre. I’ve watched @undone rapids most recent video pertaining to in depth eqs for MW2. Is anyone in here able to help? Or does anyone actually find that they can hear footsteps in game great.

I need the footstep boost at a distance and think it will help. I'm going to measure the loot crate frequencies to boost that as well if anyone will be interested

To be clear though, I think their audio engine is still super messed up. There are times where effects just simply aren't processed

So we can boost and tweak all we like, but there are still going to be moments where the game is just quiet where it should have made a sound

Hi all, can anyone help me? I just bought Nova 3, as soon as I plugged them in I downloaded the steelseries.GG software. Besides I can't register at the moment because the server doesn't let me and it gives me the 500 server error, I'm constantly hearing a noise as background probably deriving from the microphone that returns the ambient sound in the headphones (I hear the keyboards too for example), the only way to stop the noise is to turn off the mic from the headphones themselves (even disabling the mic from windows doesn't help). Turning off the sidetone in the app doesn't help as well. Will this be fixed with Sonar or I'm just unluck with this headphone and I should return them?

Maybe odd question. I love my Nova wired but purchased the H6Pro recommended by @undone rapids. Can i use the presets e.g. "Focus" on the GameDAC 2 w/ the H6 while playing MW2? The Nova pads are more conformable. I just wanted to try an open back head set. The GameDAC 2 is a fantastic little device.

Focus will help for sure. H6PRO is boosted in the bass a bit so Focus would technically work.

I feel that. Returned my Nova Pro Wireless because of bad software and the dual battery system being worse than in the Arctis Pro Wireless. Now i am here to say that the firmware update for the Apex Pro is very cheap.
They finally implemented a feature that other manufacturers have for over a year now and then they miss out so important features with that Update..

yeah, I'm so furious right now just because nothing is working. the configs don't change no matter what I do to the sliders, the live preview doesn't work so I have no clue what I'm actually changing, and I can't use any other software than Steelseries Engine, it simply doesn't do anything on my headset. on top of that, I used to have a config that worked but the engine deleted it by itself? and it also deleted it out of the cloud where I had previously saved it for situations like this

and then to finish it all, the mods on this server all say in their bio that they don't offer help. never buying from Steelseries again nor recommending it to my friends

Steelseries used to be a great brand with great products but they have become an absolute NoGo and you should avoid their products.
With problems from ranging from the apex pro, over the gamedac to the Arctis and Nova Wireless Pro series. That is just bad and far from an opinion because these problems and bugs DO exist. It's not a thing about "the headset doesnt feel good on my ears" or "I dont like the angle of my keyboard".
Just stay away from steelseries

As long as they didn't advertise the keyboard having those issues then I don't see a problem? To me many of those extra features are very gimmicky

Okay have there been FW updates in the past 2 Monts? To be more precise: Advertised is that the headset doesnt't need to reconnect, when taking out the battery and replacing it within 8 sec, and even in a 3 sec change, the headset needed to reconnect and it just took longer than the arctis.

any idea as to why my aerox 9 mouse's illumination now goes back to default rgb scan-through after being charged via wired connection to my computer? it seems to no longer acknowledge GG settings unless i restart the computer

this seems to be a trend, as even my apex mini wireless keyboard does this too, but the workaround seems to be using Prism for the keyboard and my arena 7s. sadly, however, this workaround cannot be had with the aerox 9 as it is not yet supported by Prism

Also joining this discord just to let someone know that your app is essentially malware. I dont know how it got on my PC as I never downloaded it. Moreover, initially I thought it was my mouse software (my mistake) so I decided well I'll turn off all of the overlay bullsht thats trying to push me on to Moments. So I turned it all off. The next day it was back. The settings were all back to ON. But to be fair, I said, "well maybe I missed some, or messed something up. So this time I will make damn sure I turn everything off." And I did just that.

The next day, once again, all the settings were turned back to ON. In addition, it is no longer allowing me to turn off the Gameplay Capture. Nor will it allow me to turn off "Allow Moments to capture while gaming". Also cannot turn off any of the settings in the Desktop Capture Mode or Auto Scan for games. Clicking the On/Off Toggle greys it out momentarily, then it returns to the On position. This is some truly sketchy and seemingly invasive bullsh*t.

Do you have anything to say about this??

Is the left earcup (the earcup, where the mic&turn on button is positioned etc.) also looser than the right for you as well or is it just me?
