Couch gaming is console stuff , but I have the cords behind the right side of my desk to move either console over there for if I need to to more competitive gaming or stream from console. Also helps to video capture stuff for reviews if I need to

So yeah I like not having cords anywhere. The Xbox controller has a bit of latency to it sadly, so in most cases a dedicated wireless, or a USB dac are the fastest audio methods for console gaming

It depends on the user skill level. In principal it's just a virtual sound driver program. People usually struggle with that concept the most

Without sending it in for repair (which sadly yours is not in warranty), it wouldn't really be realistically possible to buy a non prism mouse pad from steelseries and transfer the "prism" part. But they do sell non prism mouse pads none the less.

With spatial audio on, sonar is doing this weird thing where when I play games, certain sound effects will dim the music automatically. I assume this is the isolation feature that's meant to make it easier to hear footsteps, but it's driving me crazy.

When playing games like jrpgs and just pressing a button to confirm an action in a menu causes all the music to dip hard in volume to try and isolate that sound effect, and it happens every time. Is there any way to disable this isolation? I like spatial audio on because it makes the sound feel fuller and all around me, it sounds almost empty with it off. But that isolation bleeds into everything, including when I listen to music. Like if there's a sound effect in a song or something, the entire balance is thrown off.

I have an Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, and I didn't have this issue on my Pro Wireless, mainly because that headset didn't require me to use Sonar just so I could have my game/chat mix, but this one does so I'm forced to use this software, and it's throwing off the whole soundmix I had for almost 2 years with my previous headset

i have the aerox 5 wireless... the silver button is a nice addition. you dont have to click it all the way in the front. Your thumb is going to sit right behind it. its takes some getting used to

Well the Aerox is newer and is significantly lighter, has more buttons, a newer and faster sensor, and considerably longer battery life. The only real advantage that the Rival has is the customizable lift-off sensor.

The only downside to the Aerox for me personally would be the honeycomb body because I hate mice with holes, but if that doesn't bother you then I'd say the Aerox 5 is the pretty clear winner. That being said, I've personally been using the Rival 650 for over a year now and it's been a great mouse

Hi. I got an Apex Pro Mini Wireless today, and I ordered the UK QWERTY version. The keyboard arrived as ordered in the correct layout, but when I launched SteelSeries GG and connected my keyboard, it only showed up as US QWERTY layout. This means that I cannot adjust any settings for two keys, as the software thinks that they are covered by another (the SHIFT and ENTER keys extend one more key out in US QWERTY, so the \ and # keys (UK) are adjustable. Is there a way to change which layout I am using in SteelSeries Engine? If so, how can I, and if not, what can I do?

To activate the ChatMix feature on the Nova line you need to do it virtually through the Sonar app

No. Sonar creates virtual audio devices to separate the game and chat channels so both option in Sonar should be set to the same output if you want to use chatmix

The Nova's don't have the extra chip in the headset to create two separate audio devices so it's handled through the software now. Just set the Game and Chat Sonar options to your Nova Pro and the ChatMix should work

As long as you're changing your settings within Engine and not Sonar they'll save directly to the headset for you to use wirelessly

I have an arctis 5 already and don't know whether going to a nova 3 would actually be an upgrade or not

I'd probably rather go for an apex 9 mini so I can have a good keyboard when doing my IT course instead of the outrageously bad ones my school has, once I get to lvl 40

As far as the drivers themselves go, the Nova 3s have the better sound, not to mention the better construction (Although I've been using the 5s for 4 years now and haven't had any problems with the design). However you're losing out on the ChatMix dial that the 5s have + having to use Sonar for ChatMix on the 3s and use the virtual mix slider in the app instead of having the hardware mix on the 5s

So while the Nova 3 does offer better sound quality, you also lose out on some of the legacy features on the Arctis 5. Just kind of depends on how much you care about those features tbh
