The 5 is $100. Below that the only option is the Apex 3 for $50. It's a good membrane board but imo the extra $50 for the 5 goes a long way for the better feel and durability of the hybrid blue switches

I do. It depends on which ones you want. I'd say the wired nova pro's are a no brainer go for it when it comes to purchasing. the wireless are the ones I've heard some iffy stuff on. mostly the bump but also the driver's eq seems to vary from headset to headset. I'd say get it though if you have the money 👀

Oh I didn't read this honestly I've had both, if your tight on money, I'd just keep the arctis'. the difference isn't substantial, plus if you upgrade to nova's your limited to using sonar if you want mixing capability unlike the original pro's that have a hardware mixer.

Just going to say the nova pro wireless is kind of a joke. Will not work wired at all. Just doesnt work. Has no chatmix dial on the headset, so if you are using on a console wireless, you cant adjust the chat mix... Also the mic monitoring is a joke. I can't even hear myself so I end up yelling. In general the mic sucks. Just my opinion for anyone considering this overpriced headset. If you are playing on PC get the wired version.

alr well yea technically the nova's are better, so if you want to get it you can, but there's not much more you'd be getting compared to the pro's but if you want to you can go for it ofc

I mean it’s all mostly hardware in my opinion. The connector for the nova’s is aux by default so you can technically use the nova’s with anything you can imagine (if you exclude the GameDAC for things like a phone), they fixed the issue where the hinge would sometimes snap and the dial shouldn’t degrade over time (this issue was rare afaik and didn’t show up for a long, long time), native 96khz 24 bit support instead of needing to go into “hi res mode”. And well in my opinion that’s really it- the firmware on the dac is pretty nice and you can mute with a button on the dac if you’d like but it’s not much of an upgrade from the normal arctis pro’s

Yes the nova works with a phone. It connects to the dac with a headphone jack which can be unplugged and plugged into any other electronic you want like a phone, a Nintendo switch, Xbox controller, etc

I bought both the nova pro and nova pro wireless, and I am returning the wireless. The Nova pro is so sick. Zero issues. The DAC is so nice. Sound is 100% better than the wireless version and the mic is too. For $250 is a sick headset

Odd questions but did you have issues with the anc bump irritating your ear after a while with the nova pro wireless’? I’ve heard initial reports when the headphones released of users having to take breaks because of it but then some users had no problems at all with ear irritation

Personally, no. But I have smallish ears. I have felt it once or twice, but it didnt cause any pain or irritation. I will say the nova pro wired fits better for some reason. Just feels better on my large head. The only issues I had with the wireless were that the audio wasnt that great for the price, my friends said I had white noise in my mic audio a few times, and they wont really work wired (mic doesnt work and they dont work on the DAC-looking dock that they come with. It is NOT a DAC btw. Just a dock thingy)

It’s less comfortable. The mic is complete ass. The audio is nowhere near as clean as wired version. Crackly audio sounds. White noise on the mic. Just not worth $350 imo. I bought both because I wanted to see if the wireless could match the quality or get close but it didn’t. I play console and pc so wanted a headset I could use for both, but I will just use the wired for pc and my arctis 7x on console.

I used to be a wireless fan, then I tried the nova pro. If playing single player games wireless would be fine but fps I want the comms and audio to be clean and no latency.

I've got an arctis 7+ and have sonar installed and am using, the game/chat slider ceases to function correctly. it shows in sonar that I am changing the slider position but doesnt change anything sound wise. Its worked correctly in the past and at some points stops. I an using discord for chat and playing a game. Restarting seems to get it to work most of the time but isnt right now. I want to know if its a setting or something. As id like to not have to continue to restart my computer or uninstall and reinstall sonar/engine.

Me too but if that is your worry you wouldn't need to worry with the wireless becasue it has not only a 1 and a half to 2+ day long battery life (apparently), you can also hot swap it whenever it dies with another battery that conveniently sits and charges in the basestation so you never have to worry about anything 👀

Yes, the chatmix dial does work on Xbox when the headset is in Xbox mode. Again, the callouts for Sonar requirement is only for Windows 10 and Windows 11, but when in Xbox mode it can tie in directly into the console controls.

Rival 5 has a similar shape. It all depends on budget, comfort and weight you’d like to have. The switches on the Rival 5 are not as crisp as on the Rival 600 IMHO.

So, the TrueMove Pro is basically the "wired" version of the TrueMove Air. The Air has some optimization for low power consumption...but in terms of performance you basically won't be able to tell the difference

especially if you play low CPI (like 400 or 800)

I prefer the design of the Nova, I owned both Arctis 9x, Arctis Pros and now Arctis Nova Pro Wireless.

I would say go for the Nova

Main difference between 7s and 9s was the presence of dual wireless connectivity but the Nova series has dual wireless.

I think that the new microphone design works a lot better. Sound-wise they might be pretty similar.
If you love a bassy sound, I think that the Novas create a tighter seal around the head than the old Arctis.

So what’s the difference between the new Nova 7P, 7X and 7?

Is it just the options on the headset dials (side tone on 7P and chat mix on the other two), and then also the coloured bands?

Pretty much, except the USB receiver for the 7X will only work with Xbox and PC and not PlayStation, Switch, etc. While the 7P should work with all platforms except Xbox just like the regular 7. The only difference between the 7P and the 7 is the sidetone dial on the P and the ChatMix dial on the 7 along with the color of the headband
