Greetings!

I'm asking for advice in regards to "Speaker setup" and "Dynamic range" in game audio settings. Which settings should I pick to get the best audio experience?

1. Speaker setup has the following options to choose from:

• Stereo speakers
• Surround 5.1
• Surround 7.1
• Headphones stereo
• Headphones 3D

2. I've read elsewhere that the "Headphones 3D" option is a remnant from PS4. Not sure if this is true or if that even matters.

3. Dynamic range has the following options to choose from:

• Night mode
• Small speakers
• Full range

PS:
I'm using the SteelSeries Nova 5 headphones. I've also enabled Tempest 3D Audio on my PS5 Pro.

Any advice would be much appreciated 🙏

Hey all, just had a question about using my steel series arctis headset on my console.

The PC has Sonar which offers in-depth settings to get the sound quality you want, but as far as I know there is nothing available other than EQ presets when I use my headset on my PS5. I'm just wondering if there is a way to tune-up your sound quality on the PS5.

I had the Arctis 7 pro before switching to the arctis Nova pro. I think the 7 is great. I think you can benefit from using the control system. The other doesn't. I think they are both similar in price also. If you have the money for a good investment I would get the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. It has great audio.

@finite ledge i have noticed a lot of people complaining about sound cue in Arc Raiders. It seems the community either loves it or hates it. the only noticeable thing I've seen between the two is that headphones that use virtualization tend to get less cue noises like footsteps (Arctis Nova Pro Wireless) than headsets that just push raw sound (HyperX cloud 2). I have tried turning off sonar and all surround sound options and even direct lining in my Arctis headset and just the same as you i find i have to blow my eardrums out to hear anything.

Before I used a 7P+ and there was never a problem with the Mic.

So dpi is really personal preference honestly if you’re using a higher polling rate then you would want to use a higher dpi but I think you’re talking about sens in gerneal so you would want to focus on cm per 360 because you should not really change dpi unless the game uses dpi solely for input on certain UIs (ex valorant smoke UI uses just your dpi)

Low sens. But ain’t a big fan of if I spawn sometimes I’m facing the opposite way and have to really turn my mouse to turn my character back. But I like low sense since I’m learning to flick my shots. And my mouse has an app that I download to change my mouse DPI

When I try to aim with a high sense I’m always off to the side and I have to make sure my hand is really stiff. I like to keep it more loose if anything and just to casually hit my shots

Polling rate I have no clue but I’m at a 700-800 DPI

Default is 1000 hz and since you’re on low dpi that’s fine stick to one dpi and just change your sens if you’re having trouble turning around raise it up gradually until you are able to turn around comfortably
