I have what I hope is a stupid question with a simple fix. I have the Arctis Steel series Pro wired headphones and I play Arc Raiders on a brand new gaming PC. When set the input to the Arctis Sonar, they sound like crap and everything sounds like it is being played through a tin can..... so to speak. When i set it to the just plain headphones (Arctis) it sounds better, but I can't use the custom settings for arc raiders the SS Sonar has. I have tried messing with the EQ settings to no avail. Am I doing something wrong?

Check ur app and check if you have storage still, ive had that issue before personally and just had to clear out some old vids i no longer wanted/needed. that did it for me. plus check keybinds

The power and Bluetooth LEDs are on, but none of the buttons respond.
Nothing happens when I press them.

Check in Windows as well. The routing in Sonar is purely a GUI for the function in Windows

Sonar doesn't actually route anything it just tells Windows to do it

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

3. If you are having issues with step 2 or step 3 above, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

I don't use Moments anymore really. I use Medal. If you don't want Steelseries GG to stop working the thing which always triggers it for me is putting my PC to sleep.
Really screws with the software. If Moments wants to work I use it but if it doesn't Medal is always running in he background to save me.
Im never uninstalling it because there have been times when I wanted to clip a cool gameplay mment for publishing and Moments has failed to work because the software has crashed or has not started even though its set to start on PC startup.

I am now having issues updating my firmware. The dongle keeps disconnecting and then reconnecting again.

But now Moments keeps crashing/ not working everytime I put my PC to Sleep.

the lil box that charges the battery. It doesnt always recognize the battery correctly. I.E. It recognizes it at the incorrect charge level so I have to reseat it a couple times to get it to start charging correctly. Anything I can do about this?

Oh okay, mine has one on the right as well. You can get an extender for the dongle, USB-C male to female. Your Nova 5 might even come with one but that's USB-A in one end

1. (someone talks to me on discord -> my mic picks it up, and it loops back to my headset)

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

3. If you are having issues with step 2 or step 3 above, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

If you see the "Sonar did not allow this app to change outputs" error, then step 1 above did not work, and you may need to do step 2 or step 3 to route your audio.

Hello friends, can anyone recommend what are the best settings for CS2

there's a CS2 preset for keyboards. go to the Home page and use the dropdown underneath the keyboard to select it

1. Make sure you're using the USB-C dongle for max quality
2. The dongle uses 2.4ghz for max quality, so it helps to minimize interference from other things like routers. smart devices, etc. Using the USB-C extension cable to move the dongle physically away from the computer helps too
3. Make sure the mic is positioned correctly. It should be pulled all the way out, sitting right near the corner of the mouth, and should be the right way up (the mic mute LED should be on the top)

The noise cancelling stuff in Sonar can also help, but it won't magically improve the quality, it'll mostly just make the mic clearer

^This all being said, I don't think the mic on the N7G2 was updated from G1, so it's not one of the better mics.

prism will override the onboard lighting, so if you want to edit the onboard lighting you need to turn the device off in prism

This morning the chatmix wheel on my Arctis 7 Wireless has stopped working, all updates are current, firmware is current, all settings are correct in Sonar and Windows. I even went and exchanged my Arctis 7 for a brand new one and still having this issue. Anyone have any solutions not found on SteelSeries site or Reddit?

My "SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3X Wireless Multi-Platform Gaming Headset" has really strong side-step on desktop and I can't turn it off. I can only turn it off on mobile after installing app, but not on desktop. I tried out GG app and tried reinstalling a few times but still it doesn't identify my headset in the engine, where I am told I can turn side-step off. (Side-step just meaning I can hear myself loudly as I speak on the mic which is jarring for me).

It's not easy to tell based on that info, if everything works in Discord that would indicate the problem isn't with the headset but your settings in that specific game

Hey guys, my steelseries arctis nova pro are all of a sudden not pairing to the deck/hub. The light just keeps blinking white, the headset powers on but nothing more, what to do? To turn it off I have to take the battery out.

Update: I made it connect a few times now, pairing it over again, however it did actually unpair randomly again mid game session, what is happening? Been using it for a little over a week only. It just started randomly glitching out today, nothing unusual that I did with it.

I have the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless and Whenever one audio that's playing gets paused, it entirely cuts the audio on my computer. I then have to disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth to fix it. Example: Pausing a YouTube video will cut audio from a Discord call and/or ingame.

i guess something is broken since you're like 20 versions out of date. you can just download the latest version from https://steelseries.com/gg and run the installer without uninstalling and it'll update everything that way

This error started appearing a few days ago; and after a complete reinstall, the app only worked for a day before displaying the same error again. I launch the program as administrator from the shortcut in its files: SteelSeries GG Launcher. With this problem, neither Engine nor Moments work; only Sonar seems to function reasonably well.
The only other app running simultaneously is Discord.

the nova 5 does not have the feature of dual audio from 2.4ghz and BT at the same time. you'd need to pay more for a higher tier headset like the nova 7 or nova pro wireless for that feature

Hey guys, I just got my first set of steel series. They are the game buds. I have no idea how to set it up on the GG app if I should use the engine or sooner and what equalizer I should use I do know straight out of the box, they the volume seems to be pretty low and I am hard of hearing anyways also, I play a lot of GTA and Call of Duty®

looks like no one is getting assistance but i'll try my luck anyways. got arctis nova 7's last month. every single time i turn my pc off, and back on, they get quieter. it is to the point where i have every single volume adjuster on every game i play and every call i join set to the highest possible setting, and everything still sounds like i am listening to it from 100 feet away.

everything is updated i dont even understand how this is happening and its driving me insane

edit: fixed issue. have found a FOURTH volume adjuster hidden in a corner on my steelseries app. i dont see why there are 4 seperate ways to adjust volume on just 1 pair of headphones but the link below did not help

or just, start the game and with the Task Manager open the proceses of SOT and look which processes re running (ussualy is the process who're consuming more resources) and same, add it to the list in SS

The general solutions for any issue is

1.- Close the app with Task Manager
2.- If the first doesn’t fix the problem, reinstall the program where u’’re having problems

Hi. My mouse has started showing a red light all the time. aerox 9
Before, it only turned red when the battery was low (around 10% or close to empty).
Now the red light is always on, even when the battery is charged.

Hello,

Been having a problem with my Arctis Nova Pro (Wired). This issues was not present for the first couple of days using the headset, but as of now it is a consistent thing that happens.

Whenever the PC boots, goes to sleep, or is restarted, the headset stops playing audio. On the Steelseries App, it shows a tiny blip as thought it was detecting sound, but nothing plays. The microphone works - weirdly - and people can hear me just fine in this state.

The only workaround I have found for it currently is plugging the headset into a different USB port every time I boot it, etc. and assigning the headset anew inside of the Steelseries App - but after 2 weeks of having to constantly do that and looking for solutions, I've gotten desperate enough to reach out here.

Has anyone had a problem like this? If so, is there an easy way I could fix it?

FYI - I already tried:

• Reinstalling Steelseries GG
• Wiping the headset from my PC and plugging it in fresh.
• Using different ports - USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 have the same results
• Updating relevant drivers

that issue doesint happen if you just have your headset pluged in directly to the pc(without the dac) on boot right?

ive tried ss fixes first that they gave me, they didnt work so they sent me a new one

and for rma you dont have to send it back

for ss they usually ask you to destroy the part and its cables, then they send the part or give a code for their site
