Analog audio devices are headsets/speakers that use the 3.5mm headphone jack as the primary way to connect to the PC or console.

Please note that analog headsets use your on-board audio drivers to run the headset. Due to this, analog headsets are not compatible with SteelSeries Engine and will not show up on the device list in Engine.

If you are having audio issues, here's a few steps to try:

• Reseat all cable connections to verify they are fully plugged in. The 3.5mm connection will require that the cable be plugged in fully for correct audio. Make sure all connections are clean and free of dirt. Additionally, please check that you have the correct end of the cable plugged into your PC, as some SteelSeries Nova headsets have unique cables that must have the correct end plugged into the headset.

• Verify that you are plugging the headset into the correct port. Some PCs may have split headphone and microphone audio jacks, so using a splitter for these devices is required to make the mic work. you can just tell discord to capture a specific app rather than the whole screen/desktop. when discord is capturing an app it just records the audio from the one app and doesn't echo.

weird, my Steelseries Arctis Nova 3x's mic worked just fine yesterday but now it isn't working. I can still hear the audio on the headphone itself, and GG seems to pick it up and shows movement, but the mic test doesn't seem to work. Ok found it. Connected the mic to my pc's 3.5mm jack and it worked, it has something to do with the headphones. What's weird is that sidetone works

Connected my headset to my phone using usb-c. Mic worked there So it's probably a windows issue.

There seems to be a spike for the first split second I connect to PC, then it stops working. Tested the usb A converter hooked up to a usb hub that goes into my phone, it worked there. Definitely a windows issue.

Nothing changes on any sliders, my mic and audio outputs work where they should but everything is quieter. Only thing that works is switching my output from Steelseries to my headset itself

issue one, im having microphone issues. im loving the headphones but everyone is telling me the microphone sounds really bad. i dont expect the world of the mic, but any better quality would be nice

issue two, but kinda tied in with issue one, i wanted to try to use SteelseriesGG/Sonar to try and help my mic issue, only problem being my pc is extremely buggy and i cant use my files explorer (its a long stupid story.) but point is, when the app downloaded it didnt place itself on my desktop, and i dont have a way to open it unless anyone knows how to open it with the run prompt

and lastly, my final issue is i can ever so slightly hear myself when i talk and i dont really know how to fix this. im assuming that it also has to do with some setting in the app, but if there is any other way that would be lovely

Yesterday my Arctis nova pro wireless started to malfunction after using it for about a month.
I don't know if it is some default settings messing things up but I was hoping someone here could help me out.
Adding pictures of my sound devices and settings from Discord as well, to see if someone can see something obvious.
Mic test in Discord is working and providing feedback but no other sound seems to reach the headset. Yesterday when I noticed the issue the sound settings on the pc was indicating issues and I ran the troubleshooter without any real success.

Is anyone else's ANC on the Nova Pro Wireless kinda poo? I know I have it enabled and all the settings should be correct. I can hear a slight difference when I enable/disable, but it is miniscule. I can still hear everything around me with it on both inside my room and outside, such as my upstairs neighbors walking around in high heels.

For those who are having clipping issues follow the instructions from this link. You have to roll back your drivers for now. It's the November update so this isn't very impactful to the system or newer games based on the last two driver updates. Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

I have the Arctis Nova 3 headset and after enabling Sonar my headset is absolutely messed. I am unable to have the mic and audio working at the same time. I've attempted uninstalling GG, reinstalling, enabling Sonar, disabling Sonar, restarting the computer, deleting the headphone drivers, nothing seems to be working. When my mic is working, for whatever reason, YouTube plays at a snails pace and there is 0 audio coming through my headphones. When my audio is working there is not a single application that registers my mic being picked up.

quick question, for the arctis nova pro, to get to the chat mix i just need to push the volume wheel right? cause im doing that and its not working, if i hold it down for a couple seconds i get to the usb input menu on the bluetooth station though so clearly the button registers

you also need to make sure sonar is running and active. there should be a little sonar icon (looks like sound waves) on the base station when it's being properly detected. if it's not detected then it won't switch to chatmix mode

are you using bluetooth? it has limited bandwith so the quality will usually drop when the mic is active (like joining a call)

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Bluetooth as a secondary connection option for devices, such as mobile phones. This will allow you to listen in to calls, access some features through the Arctis Companion App for app-compatible devices, and allow compatibility with a wide range of older devices.

However, it is always recommended to use the included USB dongle when gaming, as the dongle connection provides a higher quality and lower latency audio connection. This will also prevent the audio quality changing when loading a game or joining a call. Additionally, some SteelSeries GG features will only work over a USB dongle.

Do your guys' settings and presets for GG save when you have to reinstall it? Because I've had to reinstall it twice in the lifespan I've had it, to fix an issue it had. The most recent issue is the game channel wouldn't route properly. And each time I reinstall it, it'd completely wipe every setting, preset, configuration, etc.

So now I don't have any of my Sonar presets, engine configs, quick sets, you know.

And for the record, I am signed in on the app. Was both times I had to reinstall it.

Another question, I have the Aerox 3, wired. Whenever I'd get on my pc, the cursor would be all shaky until I hold down the little CPI switcher until it "resets" or something? Then I'd just switch the CPI back, and it'd be fine. But I'd have to do this every time I get on my computer.

Ive plugged the dongle into my Xbox, set it to Xbox, then held the power button on the headset down until it flashes green (supposedly pairing mode?).

It just flashes for a while and goes back to slow lime flashes (supposedly unpaired). Am I missing a step?

What was done : pair and unpair docking station , reset device , uninstalled audio driver , used windows and HP troubleshooting tools - checked all the software updates , uninstalled and reinstalled GG engine. all this several times.

Nova Elite microphone is not working. It cannot be used in Discord or in games. The mute button has not been pressed. The microphone volume in GG has also been turned up to the maximum and the Nova Elie microphone is selected in the Windows and game sound settings. Whether the Sonar function is on or off, the microphone still cannot be used. Is this a quality issue with the product?

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

3. If you are having issues with step 2 or step 3 above, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

If you see the "Sonar did not allow this app to change outputs" error, then step 1 above did not work, and you may need to do step 2 or step 3 to route your audio.

I'm honestly not sure how you can fix it, seems to be an issue between Apple Music and Windows. The routing in Sonar is basically just a GUI for Windows Audio routing so Sonar can't fix it if it doesn't work in Windows

I have a problem with SteelSeries GG Moments.
When I play a game in English language, Moments works correctly and records clips as expected.
However, when I change the same game to German language, Moments does not record or detect clips properly.
I have already checked that:
SteelSeries GG is up to date
Moments is enabled
the game is supported
The issue only happens when the game language is set to German.
Is this a known issue, or is there a solution for this problem?

Having some truble with the Steelseries Arctis Nova 1; vocals/talking is incredibly quiet and most of the times muted. On the website, the man talking sounds incredibly far and gone. As well, even turning on Spatial Audio in GG, it doesn't make anything "spatial" at all, it's still stereo. Someone please help.
