I bought the razer kraken v4 pro and refunded it because I disliked the audio quality. So I did a bit of research and a lot of people were happy about the Steelseries arctis Nova Pro. So I decided to buy that one. But the quality of the sound is still poor for me. I tested out multiple games to listen to the sounds. For example with Minecraft when I walk over grass it sounds super lightly. But everthing else sounds nice. I used to use the Razer Nari Ultimate for a while and was super happy with the quality. Upon further research of my problem, it seems to be a windows update problem. I get error code 0x800706f4 Which means wifi and sound update issues. Still trying to figure it out. Tried repairing the

My PC Has been so i decided it was time to reinstall windows 11 from scratch and after the update it kept at it.

after spending hours reading the mini dump file (bugging other people to help me) we have determined that the BOSD was caused by one of three things inside the svcost.exe

another question that has been bugging me for a while: i use multiple machines (mainly 2 machines) for work/personal. therefor i got a kvm switch so i dont need to plugin/out all my devices while switching. it seems that i can only use either the mouse (aero 5 or the keyboard apex 9 mini) at once using the kvm. otherwise i have to plugin/out. any of you have faced this and maybe have the solution?

My Apex 3 TKL stops working randomly the RGB is still on but the keyboard itself stops working. No keys work. I tried updating the software and changing USB ports but nothing seems to work. Coincidence - Same issue happened to me today. I tried opening it up and see if anything is stuck. And it aint. If you decide to open them up be careful because things are soldered on and can break.

Yeah ive come to a decision of just opening up the headset itself (just waiting for a special screwdriver to arrive via delivery lol) because I've tried many other ways and some just deepen a risk of worsening my mic's quality (like accidentally scratching it with a knife while trying to get the knife in the gap)

So i got my keyboard on Prism color so rainbow and the 8 keey is like changing different colors. When I look at the whole keyboard on Prism and see what it look's like it shows its matching up so it's not a different color but it is in real life. It’s been almost half a year since I got my new PC, and ever since then my Arctis Pro Wireless headset has been driving me crazy. The audio constantly shifts — it goes quiet whenever things get softer, then suddenly blasts loud again. For example, if I’m listening to Spotify while talking in Discord, as soon as the music or conversation gets quiet, the headset drops the volume and I can barely hear the background music anymore (or it mutes everything in general till someone speaks or the music gets loud). Then the moment someone talks again, the sound jumps back up like a jumpscare. I’ve tried to fix it but can’t find any solution, and it’s honestly making me lose my mind. I’m hoping someone out there knows what’s causing this and can help me finally solve it. It only happens when audio dips below a certain level — like when music gets soft or when people stop talking in Discord — and then everything just goes quiet until sound comes back in.

My headset wont work though the gamedac. the gamedac lights up when plugged in with the steelseries logo and then fades to black and wont display the menu even when pressing the start button. the headset is also nowhere to be found in devices on my pc. There are several things you could try to get your PC to recognize your device. First, go into your windows sound settings and make sure something else is not selected in its place in the drop down menu

if that does not fix it, make sure the device is "enabled" in windows sound. if you still dont have a fix go into windows Device Manager and confirm that the drivers are installed and working correctly.

If all of the above are not working, try completely uninstalling the device and reinstalling it. i suspect it is driver related.

@arctic marsh I had a similar issue. Try doing a factory reset by removing the right ear cup and pressing "the switch" (should be a tiny, tiny hole only the needle can fit through towards the bottom of the earcup) for one second, releasing, and then seeing if that fixes the issue

How to solve this problem

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

3. If you are having issues with step 2 or step 3 above, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

If you see the "Sonar did not allow this app to change outputs" error, then step 1 above did not work, and you may need to do step 2 or step 3 to route your audio.

My headset has stopped working. I’m using the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, and there’s no sound coming through the base station/dock. I’ve tried two devices – one with the software installed and one without – but there’s no audio on either. Over Bluetooth everything works fine.

In both the app and the Windows sound settings, I can see that audio is being sent, but the dock shows no signal for the left or right channel.

Has anyone experienced this before or can help me out?

make sure your ingame output device is set to SteelSeries Sonar- Game while your output device is set to SteelSeries Sonar -Microphone

also be sure you're not using any game presets as they impact how you hear the game

in game, you have to set proper input and output devices. I dont play CoD so i dont know the settings page but it should be similar to any other game/ app. The same thing you set in discord settings should be possible to set in game

customizing it will affect the sound profile(enhance footsteps and stuff like that). If you think the game sounds "funny" just set to preset to Custom which should all be flat lines if you havent changed anything or tweak the existing preset EQ and settings to your liking

those are windows audio settings and they're fine like this if you're planning to use your headset as your main audio device. If you're having issues with in-game audio ( no audio , no mic) you have to adjust them in each game. If any of the games sounds strange, you might have a preset set in the gg software that alters your sound profile.

Just click on the Game tab inside of Sonar and see what you got there. This is the default preset

This on the other hand is the Warzone preset. As you can see, the sound profile is very different and will affect heavily the sound of your game

Hi, I got my Apex 3 TKL today but I’m having a small issue with the Discord plugin in the SteelSeries GG software.
When I enable the plugin, the zones assigned to a Discord event (notifications, speaking, mute, etc.) just go dark, as if the plugin is overriding my default lighting settings.

That doesn’t make any sense to me, why should a third of my lighting basically be turned off whenever the Discord plugin is active? There has to be a way to stop the plugin from dimming the event zones, but I can’t find any setting for it.

I guess those Gamesense plugins are only for the more expensive keyboards and only bloat when you bought one of the cheaper alternatives... :/

it's not a bug, it's the same way on all the keyboards. gamesense apps take FULL control of the keyboard lighting and it overrides the onboard/Prism lighting.

Actually both. I have an XLR mic and headphones attached to the soundboard. These are my requirements.

1. Hear game audio
2. Hear and respond to Xbox party members
   3 Allow me to still hear and respond to in game audio and in game chat via mic
3. I would assume I can ofc mix other audio sources [at a lesser volume level] for others in the Xbox party to hear by me mixing into the soundboard

My first challenge I’ve experienced trying to connect the GameDAC to something like a Rode product is taking the headphone jack out of the soundboard and feed it into the GameDAC’s mic level port on the side of the unit but I’m 99% sure that was overloading the GameDAC’s mic level

I’m expecting that a device like a DI box which will hopefully dampen the signal down to mic level

It could be a few things. I noticed in GG under the "Engine" section where you can select your respective devices and modify their configurations, make sure that your Nova Pro Wirelss Headset is not set to turn off automatically (power saving feature)

If that does not resolve your issue, i would highly advise you to factory reset your headset and update all relavent software.

However, if you are trying to connect via Bluetooth, that is a seperate matter

I've played around with Sonar, including all of the presets, made sure I wasn't on Bluetooth, and just swapped out the batteries to one with full charge. Nothing seems to work. I’m assuming you mean the GG software? I just installed it once I got the headphones so presumably it’s already updated. It’s so strange as well, because the Live Preview sounds fine, but the recording function Via GG / Any of my other recording software makes it sound terrible

The first is when i stream to discord, everyones voice echos in my stream which only happens when i have steelseries sonar installed and active.
The second is the moments on sonar, when im playing a game like COD, the sound is great but the game play is echoing, in games AI voices/effects/game chat etc.

I think the new version is automatic once you opt into the beta, but also it only works on windows 11, so if you're still running windows 10 then you're outta luck.

Hey y'all! I recently had to replace my A40s with a new headset and decided to go with the Arctis Gamebuds. It says online, it's better to use the 2.4 mode over bluetooth, but either mode I use, I'm consistently dealing with them going all static/robot sounding, and then one will disconnect for a couple seconds and then reconnect, typically the right ear.
I've updated firmware through the app, factory reset them, and re-paired them. I've switched USB-C ports, and the only thing I can't do is move the dongle away from my wifi router. (Saw this suggestion online, but not sure if it's accurate.)

Is there a way for me to set a macro to proc when multiple key strokes are made? Some games I've played don't support multiple key strokes in the keybinds, and when the game's toolbelt has over 5 slots it begins to become a bit of a hassle to reach across the keyboard to switch to the 6th - 10th slots.

Basically, I'd like to have a config that, when I hit Shift+1, the config will proc the 6 key instead, and when I hit Shift+2 the config will proc the 7 key instead, and so on.

This is what I get when I connect to my Mac via Bluetooth. If I wrestle the USB-C adadpter from the gaming PC it works fine.

My sonar isnt detecting arctis nova 5s in 2,4mode. Works normally in bluetooth mode but bluetooth mode sucks. Hi hope everyone is doing well. I’ve owned my Rival 3 Wireless coming up to 2 years in December, it has worked perfectly till today where I plugged in a USB stick completely fresh so no issues with it then unplugged it. The mouse failed to connect via bluetooth, I restarted my PC, completely removed the device and tried to readd it nothing works. I tried using the USB adapter/device that makes it work on 2.4Ghz that still failed to work. It has working batteries as the light flickers blue or pink.

Anyone have any issues with the Aerox 3 Wireless not properly swapping profiles? For example, I have a Rivals profile when I play Rivals, but sometimes it'll still be active even after closing the application. When I check to see which profile is active, it'll say the default profile, but it still behaves like the Rivals profile is active.

Go to sonar while in a voice channel on discord and see where Discord shows up. You may have to drag it from "Game" to "Chat".

This happened to me with Rivals.

While Roblox is running, open task manager on your PC. Then, right click on Roblox and select open file location. Right click on the Roblox exe, then select "copy file as path".

Next, open GG and go to Settings > Game Detection. Click add game. At the top of the file explorer, paste the file location without the "s at the end and beginning as well as the name of the roblox exe. Click on the roblox exe to add it.

hey guys so i have the apex pro wired keyboard with the optical switches and oled screen ect, a few weeks ago i was a dumbass and spilt a can of redbull all over it so i washed it out with isoproply alcohol giving it a proper bath and even took it apart to clean it the best i could without taking the switches off as i cant solder, the keys were still sticky and getting stuck so i ran the keyboard under warm water with the screen detached ect and then left it a week to dry, and while it did help with the stickyness the keys are nowhere near as smooth and are sorty jerky when pressing them, any solutuions on how i could get my switches feeling nice and smooth again

I've been using this mouse and keyboard for quite some time now and recently downloaded Steelseres.GG, but ever since updating the driver on my mouse, without any reactivity enabled it still flickers cyan. And when i try to change it to a different colour (turning reactivity on) it doesn't change, can anyone help? Its a Rival 5.

also make sure everything is selected when making the change

also i think you can always just turn the device off in prism and just use the lighting in engine. you'd still need to keep GG on but if prism is glitching out then it might be a workaround.

The latest firmware update bricked my arctis nova pro wireless. I tried the official support but they refused to help me because the headset is out of warranty, even though it is their update that bricked my headset. The headset worked fine after the firmware update until I swapped the batteries. Now it is completely unresponsive. I've seen many other people say the same thing happened to them and support was no help. Is there any fix?

the nova pro wireless hasn't gotten a firmware update in over two years. if it randomly said you had an update then it's likely a chip failed internally and it won't keep the memory saved.

I lost my original cable to connect the headset and then never bothered updating the headset once I got a new one because it still worked 100% fine. Then I kind of just randomly decided to update it after all this time to get the critical update notification to go away and then it bricked my headset. So it is most likely still that same 2+ year old firmware update that bricked my headset.
