When I use my Arctic 7 without sonar, it shows the headset as 2 channels, 16 bits and 44khz. When I enable Sonar, it shows as 8 channels, 24 bits, 96khz. I think this is causing the routing issues.

i had a moment where i had to wait 30 mins for my dock being unplugged and plugging it back in and it just worked again

i don't know where these things are going wrong whether or not it is software side or physical hardware side

Keys are mostly delayed and sometimes don't even work even on the lowest settings, newest software, and everything. I have the Arctic Nova Pro Wireless headset. My DAC is connected and paired to my pc and headphones. Sonar is detecting the headset and mic. I never had any problems using them until I unplugged my DAC to move the cord. When I plugged it back in suddenly Sonar shows everything is fine other than no application in any channel detects any audio going in or out. Any known fixes? I've tried re-pairing. I've tried reseting my DAC. Moving USB. Reinstalling USB drives. Reinstalling gg software.

I have the wireless version and its the best one I've had so far. Its quite fragile though, had the middle mouse button jam on me couple of times. So if youre careful with it, it'll last at least 3 yrs

Does anyone know if its possible to put discord stream's audio on the game channel? For me its on the chat channel and I cant hear anything because Noise cancelling filters it out. When I watch any shared video in discord the audio is on the game channel though, which is weird.

I'm playing rainbow six seige and i switched to an audio setting that was call sonar media. It had 96000mhz, 8 channels, 24 bit. I could here absolutley everything and all my audio issues disappeared. So I downloaded the SteelSeries GG software to see if I could make it even better but it removed the extra audio devices in rainbow and I can't get them back. Does anyone know a Solution?

Hello, I've got issues with my Arctis Pro Wireless. The sound keeps going down, and I can't figure out why.

I've noticed that sometimes the volume drops by itself until I can't hear anything, even though I haven't changed anything manually. I'm using Voicemeeter Banana, but even when I disable it, the issue still happens — so it's probably not related to Voicemeeter.

I’m working on optimizing my setup using the Nova Pro Wireless headset for both my Windows 11 PC and PS5. Currently, all audio sources are coming through at the same time, which makes it difficult to focus. Just got myself the Arctis pro wireless with the steelseries DAC and just trying to figure it all out.

I set my media channel to my desktop speakers, and want my keyboard controls to work on this still, however it only controls game channel, it also seems to show everything as being headphones (but this might just be a UI thing)

I only really need to be able to adjust my media audio via keyboard. as headphones have a toggle on them as well as the dac.

If youll want to use your keyboard volume wheel to adjust any sound it wont work by default as it only adjust windows system sounds amd you kinda need a workaround around that

hi all, just got my apex pro tkl gen 3 (white) today, anyone experienced issues with the lighting, specifically the blue color seems to be bleeding onto everything else - especially visible when I try to turn it to pure white - the keyboard then appears cyan. The only way for me to achieve white lighting is to set it to a slightly red hue so it offsets the blue. This is especially weird as when I first plugged the keyboard in I noticed my CAPSLOCK lighting was a bit different compared to others and I took some photos for comparison on different profiles - now I realize that the caps was in fact the only key that was the 'correct' color without the blue hue. Unfortunately after updating the firmware through GG and unplugging and plugging the keyboard back in the CAPS key now behaves the same - blue hue on top of everything. I wonder if this means (the fact that caps was able to provide correct colors) that the issue is firmware and perhaps there is something that could be done, or should I return it and get a replacement?

Ill also mention the colors generally seem to be rather dim, even on 100% brightness - the CAPS before it got wonky too was true to the color and also very intense. I tried reinstalling GG, factory resetting, different usb ports, a different PC and no change sadly

This was before the caps got wonky too - keyboard set to pure white, you can see caps is correct and intense, rest is blue. Now the whole keyboard is like this

the capslock was the one showing the true color (as set in gg) - and it is now the same as the rest of the keyboard after plugging out and back in

plus the gen 3 keyboards switched to different LEDs that are deeper down inside the keyboard, so that's why they're dimmer than the last gen and why the RGB color mixing is a bit off and tends to skew more towards blue

I did the firmware update and then plugged out and in - thats what caused the gcaps to go wonky too

if the capslock key is having an issue and part of the RGB isn't working, that would mean that it could be skewing towards a different color, and it might just happen it's skewed in the right way to make the white light look more natural

Hey there, I have an issue not fully related to steelseries hardware but it prevents me from using it to its full potential. My problem is that I can't use my headphone jacks (front and back) the device such as headphones or speakers do get detected but there is no sound played... BUT I have sound through HDMI so I can use my headphones normally by just plugging them into the monitor, but then the microphone and the headphones themselves (even tho they are playing sound) are not being detected by sonar and I can't use my microphone. The only mic that works on my pc is the one integrated to my VR headset which is also connected via HDMI, I tried various ideas such as full windows reinstall or drivers wipeout and reinstall but nothing has proved effective yet, I tried various headsets so its definitely not that, I even bought a brand new Arctis Prime. Any ideas what could be causing this issue?

The whole issue is that when I run SteelSeries GG, it boots up for 2 seconds and then completely shuts down. This started happening when my Windows license expired. After that, I cracked Windows permanently, but the problem is still there.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Sometimes it works, but then it suddenly breaks again. I don't know why, but it’s exhausting me.

Hey all I have the Steelseries artis 7 black headphones and I left them charging overnight. I’ve done this plenty of times before and have had these headphones for years. For some reason they won’t turn on and the power button is blinking green. I tried a factory reset but it didn’t work. Please help

In order for apps to output to the other devices in Sonar, you'll need to route the apps to the specified device. Routing can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the routing drag and drop interface underneath the audio outputs to simply move any apps playing sounds to the required output

2. Open the Windows sound device by going to Settings > Sound > App Volume and Device Preferences. From this settings menu you can use the dropdown to route any app.

3. If you are having issues with step 2 or step 3 above, you may need to check the app itself for any sound output settings. Some apps like Discord, Spotify, and Apple Music may need to have their outputs changed within their app settings rather than done through Sonar.

If you see the "Sonar did not allow this app to change outputs" error, then step 1 above did not work, and you may need to do step 2 or step 3 to route your audio.

Having an issue with my mic on my Arctis Nova 3. Sonar will not recognize it. Worked just fine yesterday, now it's throwing a fit. The mic itself appears in windows, but won't work in Sonar. I've tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the software, and neither one worked.

Note that it's just the mic that's having issues, the rest of it works just fine.

Hi, today I bought a pair of arctis nova 7 and first of all I dont have two devices, only one general named like this headset (without any "game" or "chat" caption), secondly, my friends on discord can hear themselfs on my stream but i use sonar game and sonar chat, last problem is that the sound of this headset is "empty" like its not deep at all and it shortly SUCKS while playing games like cs2 so:
How do i add another device ( I want game and chat without using sonar), and no i dont have pc-console switch on this dongle thing.
For now i think its lost money.... Please help

Hello Group. Just bought Arctis Nova 7 wireless. Connected USB with dongle and started playing a game. Then after about 10 mins i heard a beep and the audio cut out. Just picked up the Arctis Pro Wireless and this setup process is extremely frustrating. I have no option to select the headset as my audio input and I have Aux, Gaming, Media, Chat, Microphone, and Steam as playback options, of which Media, Chat and Microphone are currently enabled. I have no audio through the headset

This should not be anywhere near this complicated for basic setup

for the time being, i'd recommend turning off Sonar (or GG entirely) and make sure you can get the headset working in Windows. GG isn't required to make the headset work, and you should be able to get audio/mic without it.

No luck. The option to select the headset provides no audio (but shows activity on the test bar) and nothing being received at all by the mic

Hello, I have a small issue. Wanted to see if anyone had to deal with it and how did they go about it. Steelseries nova 7 headphones. The ones with the beloved dongle. I used to keep it plugged in directly in my laptop in one of the type c ports, blocking the other one since i didn t really need the second one. That s no longer the case since i actually need the second port to run DP through it. So what I did is i put it in my monitor's hub using the type a to c extension that came with the headphones. Since then I hear popping ocasionally, Headphones are connected but no audio is going to them(this one is only fixed by a system restart) and also all device connected in the hub stopped working(again only solution to fix this was system restart). I don t have anything like an ssd or hdd in the hub just a keyboard and the extension for the dongle. So, here's my situation, now has anyone else been thorugh the same? 😵‍💫

Hey so I got an issue. I was freeing up space on my C: harddrive just to get a new driver update for my graphics card, and figured I didn't need the "Engine", since I couldn't get it to work properly, but when I deleted it my drivers for my headset also disappeared. Well, now I can't find a download link for them, and the Engine (which I reinstalled) also can't seem to get any sound into my Steelseries Arctic 7x wireless headphones. Connecting with a USB didn't help either, and it's not showing up as an option on my computer. What do I do? 😦

Good afternoon, so I tested everything out and it is the go xlr. Line in and line out to the streaming PC. In and out line that is the issue with the huzz/buzz noise. I have plugged all the proper wires in without any isolators, and the huzz/ buzz noise was very significantly louder. However, when I did plug in the isolators to the in and out line of the goxlr with the audio wire directly to the in and out line of the steaming pc the Huss/buzz noise dissipate a lot. However, from that point I knew that was the issue. I even tried to double up the isolator but it didn't isolate the sound even more but it just stayed as it was. My final thoughts and wonders is that, is there any way to get the huzz/buzz noise to dissipate with any other accessories in addition to the isolators I do have at the moment that helped the problem tremendously, but did not fix it?

Hi! I have an issue with my microphone while using Discord and SteelSeries GG (Sonar).

When I start screen sharing in Discord and mute my microphone inside Discord, other people in the call can still hear me. This only happens when screen sharing is active.

I'm using SteelSeries GG with Sonar enabled, and I suspect that the microphone audio is somehow being routed through the system audio, which gets shared during screen sharing.

I've tried:

Muting the mic in Discord (doesn't help)

Changing routing settings in SteelSeries GG

Disabling mic in the Sonar Mixer (partially helps)

It seems like Sonar mixes mic audio into the system output, and Discord picks it up during screen sharing, even when the mic is muted.

Can you help me find a way to fully mute the mic so that it doesn't go through during screen sharing?

apex 3 tkl (keyboard) macros are in a forever loop of recording the record button for recording macros and the app also doesn't have the menu to get to the macro controls so unless i record a macro and its very finnicky that the menu will pop up to delete the macro and my keyboard no longer records them so im a bit stuck

That means that Fortnite doesn't wanna switch outputs (A good decision on their end, stops audio from cutting out if you do something) just go into the in-game settings to switch it manually

1 - The one you don't wanna hear, pause your music
2 - Go to your Steelseries clipping settings and look for something there

Hi, I'm new to the software, I'm trying it out in hopes that it can help me with auto-clipping and recording game sessions with friends. I'm trying to test it out on a game called Clone Drone in The Danger Zone to see if it works, so far i've configured the hotkeys to be more suitable for my preferences, but right now, I need to know a few things:

1. Is there other settings beside desktop capture for recording?
2. Where does the desktop capture recording output gets sent to? The full video, not just the clips. So far I've found where the storage locaton for the clips, but I don't see the full recording when I stopped the capture.
3. If a game is not explicitly listed in the auto-clip enabled games, is it still possible for auto-clipping to run?

I have an AKG N700NC bluetooth headset with razer seiren mini mic, a month ago, sonar started to not put my mic sound out but in the UI, its connected and working. i kept uninstalling and installing GG to fix the issue, and then it started to mess with my headset too, connecting only to its Hands free option meaning, mic on, low quality sound. Hey so I got a Nova 1 today and after some stream tests with it I noticed that the mic is able to catch the game audio if it's too high, but the audio levels for my headset arent very high.
