I have Artis Nova Pro Wireless.
Windows doesn't recognize the microphone. Well very rarely it does.

I tried re-installing the GG software, toggle sonar and most of the solutions described over the internet.
Yet I can't make it work.

I have never used the dock. The headset is connected trough Bluetooth.
Does anyone have experience with such problem?

according to this screenshot, you have sonar set to output to some other output and not your headset. Click on the output under Game and set it to the right one. you might also want to check out the device manager as well to remove outputs you don't use from the list.

If you are talking about a Steelseries headset, you need to download the software for it, "steelseries gg", you can make any settings you want for the headset from this application, and if there is a limiter setting on your headset, you can turn it off and get louder sound.

Sound comes from whatever device you connect it to, if you connect it to a computer, it comes from the computer, if you connect it to a PS5, it comes from the PS5, so there is no problem.

my sonar has been acting up lately. i'll be watching a youtube video and the volume will either go full blast or lower itself to barely audible. i first thought this was a windows thing but i then tried voicemeeter and it didnt happen. it also appears that my sonar virtual mic is very low on volume despite being on full blast until i touch the in app fader. are these known issues, or is it just me?

ello ello idk if this is the right place to ask but pretty sure it is. This morning my chat mixer has just decided to stop changing the volume? the dial on my headphones (arctis nova 7x) still changes the lil bar on the app but it doesn't make any difference. I've made sure my audio output is set to sonar game and discord is set to sonar chat but the audio for videos and games stays the same. I did discover a tedious workaround where if I set dial to where I want it (I can see the bar on the app), then change my main windows audio output back to the regular headphone output, then return to the app and press the popup saying to activate sonar (so it changes my windows output back) then the audio is correct to my chat mixer. But I cant change it after, unless I do the same thing each time. I hope this is just a bug with the software because the mixer still works when I'm using my Xbox and Bluetooth at the same time. Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

The youtuber who helped me checked my moments settings in steelseries gg and my computer language is English, I could not get clips because I was using Turkish, we installed it in English and it worked on the computer and then he said you can continue using it in Turkish and it still works

So the problem was the language and steelseries settings

The new version is like a reverse update. My sonar was originally able to automatically detect the status of my nova wireless to auto switch, but now I have to unplug and plug the device after startup to make the software detect it.

Hello All, Ive switched over to SS moments to clip my Rocket league highlights, but the auto-clip just doesnt seem to work. I can manually do it with ALT+S still but wanted autoclip to work. Ive tried running the program as admin and have verified in the SS settings that RL is turned on for autoclip. Has this been an issue for anyone else? have you checked out your laptop power settings for usb ports? Do you have a desktop to test with? laptop power to ports is very different and can cause issues when devices try to engage the system if low power modes or usb devices are power managed vs just always up like on a desktop

Hello! I updated Windows 11 last night and now the SteelSeries GG Sonar is giving me the ERROR: 3762504530 issue. I tried every solution the website had plus a few extras like opening the app in admin, restarting the device, and updating to the newest version. With this error active, Discord won't detect any of my mic inputs, even those excluded from Sonar. I did send a support ticket out but unfortunately my work hours conflict with theirs and I have a stream I'm supposed to be on in 15 minutes. Try it with clean Red, Green and Blue colors and you will probably see it turn off with one of those colors

you probably have the keyboard enabled in prism, so prism is taking priority and disabling the lighting in the config window. either use prism or turn the keyboard off in prism so the options in the config window re-enable

depending on your recording software you could activate push to talk there, and/or have some noise canceling features so the mic does not pick us every tiny noise in your room

personally i use shadowplay and have no background noise issues with just a few noise canceling features from steelseries sonar

I used a SteelSeries autoclip and you can hear my girlfriend talking on the phone in the background even though I wasn't talking in the game. With previous headsets, my microphone only recorded when I pressed voice chat in game or on discord. This is a pretty uncomfortable finding.

it should work, try turning off any noise cancelling in sonar/discord, since that can cause the mic to cut in/out

including the noise cancelling in "chat" since that can affect your friends talking in discord as well

Got an issue with my arctic nova pro wireless where it disconnects from the dock after every use. Audio works very differently on Mac so they would have to re write a lot of things to make it work so it would take a lot of resources to do.

Gaming on Mac is still kinda niche so it wouldn’t benefit very many users.

I have also a problem with arctis nova pro. Sometime ago a made a firmware update and since then the DAC schows on startup that another update is available. Sometimes GG attempts to start one but after connection and clicking on update nothing happens.
But also sometimes GG does not show an update.
The dirty fix for my problem is to disconnect and reconnect the DAC. But it’s quite annoying and I fear that I cannot get a fixing update.
Has someone an idea to fix this?
Or does someone now how to reflash the firmware?

So randomly my nova 7 dragon edition headphones go into a broken state were they can't be connected, turned off, re paired, or factory reset. There just "stuck" with the bluetooth light blinking.

When it gets into this state the only thing I can do is allow the battery to drain so it turns off and then when I turn it back on everything is back to normal

When it gets in this state none of my devices (android phone, steam deck, windows 11 laptop, linux desktop) can connect to the headphone either wired OR wirelessy. I already got the headphone replaced through the warranty is this just a known issue on the dragon edition?

is there some way to force shutdown the headphone? I guess pulling the battery would work but I don't know how easy it is to get to the battery and couldn't find any guides online

If I hold the power and Bluetooth buttons at the same time for a few seconds it will shut off and when I turned it back on everything is working

I have a similar issue with my arctis nova pro wireless. They get stuck blinking and won't connect to the hub and the only way I can get them to turn off is to remove the battery. Once I do that a couple of times the quick blinking will kick in and connect but I don't know how to consistently get them to do that. They also de-pair between every session

Many SteelSeries headsets come with Sidetone, which allow you to hear yourself through the headset’s mic for better clarity when talking.

Hey! Is there a way to bind windows & + to use the magnifier with my Aerox 9 mouse? When I try and do a custom macro it just opens up the windows search bar.

sometimes windows can intercept a macro before it gets to GG, so the workaround is to bind some other key, then after making the macro just right click on the temporary key and set it to what you want

for ages the mix was working fine for playing games and using discord, setting the Game output to my system and Communivations to earphones
but since like 3 /4 weeks ago, whenever discord is using my chat audio, none of thee game/system audio plays
