I've just bought new Nova Pro Wireless headphones and was happy for a few minutes until I've noticed that my "back" (secondary) button doesn't work at all. I've tried to plug in/out, reset GameDAC and touch line-in/line-out (as suggested in another post) ports while pressing on the "back" button. I think one time I did it and heard the signal in headphones. Is that default behaviour when you press the "back" button? Any suggestions how to fix that button or return using RMA 😦

I'm trying to additionally bind the left windows key to the meta/function key, so I can reach the top right function/meta keys with my right hand while pressing the meta/function key with my left hand and vice versa. Is that possible?Everytime I bind any other key in the gg software to the meta layer function, the standard key on the right gets deactivated. The keyboard is essentially useless without that function and I will have to return it.
That is like having only one shift key, but only worse because the keys are even further apart.

So there is really no chance that that ever gets patched into the software? How on earth can that be a hardware limitation? Can't you just tell the software/firmware, that both are simply the same key??

It's quite simple why someone would want that. It's the same reason there are two shift keys.

let's take the backspace key, because it's also probably the most used meta bind.
You have to activate the meta key and the backspace key at the same time, but usually both of those keys would be pressed with your right pinky. OR you would use your left pinky for the second meta key, possibly instead of the left windows key, and your right pinky for backspace/delete. Just how both shift keys are used.
The same way you use the right pinky for the meta key and the left pinky for 1/F1

Why? That problem would immidiately cease to exist if it's just possibly to bind a second key to it. I reckon the delete button is probably one of the most used keys (besides alphanumeric ones) on keyboards. Like I explained: there is a very good reason that 2 shift buttons exist.

I would even be ok - and tried that - to bind the meta key on a dual activation, but it just doesn't work.

I attempted to make a task manager macro in Engine for the sake of helping @fair cliff, I think I see the issue. The Macro recorder does not seem to be able to fully detect a series of key inputs when those inputs are set for opening task manager. This applies both to the default Windows-wide ctrl+shift+esc, but also anything set as a keypress for a shortcut of C:\Windows\System32\LaunchTM.exe. For example, after setting this as ctrl+alt+0 in the shortcut properties, attempting to record that input in the Engine macro recorder won't allow the input to be fully recorded. It will record ctrl+alt being pressed down and released, but oddly it only detects 0 being released (not pressed). The same applies to ctrl+shift+esc, with esc not being properly recorded as a press.

So, the workaround is to record the macro you want in Engine FIRST, and then set that as the key input for a shortcut of C:\Windows\System32\LaunchTM.exe.

One would reasonably expect that a device filled with ARGB LEDs would have a way of indicating exactly which one of the five profiles the user is currently on at least while switching. I am aware that this artificial limitation is the only reason anyone has your bloatware installed on their pcs but you still require us to actually open the bloatware and navigate to a particular screen to see the exact profile that is currently active. Razer's bloatware shows popups on the screen. I know razer doesn't allow keeping profiles within the flash memory but their bloatware is far less bloated and far more functional than GG.
I have no use for having on-board memory if I cannot reliably determine whichever profile I am on without requiring to check an arbitrary software.

Why do I have to go blind as I switch between on-board profiles in Apex Pro Mini? Couldn't Steelseries just flash the respective key in the numbers row or let us program a different lighting scheme with each profile? It all feels like a ploy to force us into installing the Steelseries bloatware. This is nearly as evil a sin as not allowing us to use hall-effect switches analogously.
You shouldn't have ruined a nearly perfect keyboard with really bad software and a rather worse case of corporate greed.

t worked perfectly yesterday. I, as usual, left it for charging overnight.

1: When trying to turn on the red light breathes as if it was on too low charge.

2: When connected to charger/pc it breathes green as if it was fully charged.

3: When turning on while still connected it at first turns on properly, gets the connection to the dongle, works for 1-2 seconds and then by itself switches to the pairing mode (rapidly blinking white light). If disconnected from the usb it's still "on" in this state.

4: While it's in that state i'm able to turn on the bluetooth and it successfully connects to my phone, and then continues to work properly as a bluetooth device, the device info on the phone gives a 100% charge value.

5: Factory reset does not help.

no, you can't rebind the volume wheel. what the wheel does is send a generic volume up/down command, and windows will use those commands and will turn down the main audio device, which is usually Game (since there's no Master device for other reasons)

i'd suggest looking at the keybinds option in sonar and setup some keybinds on your meta layer

if you have actuation set very low and shift the key side to side a bit or very lightly tap it, it will register every press done at a slight angle

GG introduced an "Allow Voice Clipping" and I think it defaults to on (settings => Capture and sound), perhaps it's too sensitive. Try disabling and see if it stops doing the random clips 🙂

the preset illumination options only show up on the legacy apex pros, the new apex pros have different lighting systems so they won't show on the oled

as for the rapid trigger, pressing the wheel in to turn it on/off only works when you have the actuation meter on screen, but if you're on that screen and it's not working, i'd check that the firmware is up to date

you need a PC and you need to download GG to update the firmware. It's likely if you just bought the keyboard that it doesn't have the rapid trigger firmware on it yet so you need to do the update to get access to rapid trigger.

I also have Terraria installed, but whenever I launch the game the RGB that is supposed to be enabled doesn't work. No matter how I configure it it won't enable.
