I always believed that DC dark has a lot and ton of potential. when I first saw man of steel I instantly loved it because it's not a superman that's a hero yet, he hasn't gotten to that point, he's still stumbling, after zodd it was like that saying, he won the fight but lost the war, because he crossed that line to beat him

So I'm glad darker stories and tones for the DC movies are getting better reception

Batman is the key player definitely since he's already solidified as a dark characte

It varies

Some things are oneshots, some things are minis which are anywhere from 2-12 issues, and some things are ongoings which means they run until they get cancelled from lack of sales or because one of the creators said something dumb on the internet

I tend to recommend minis though since that's what most people can easily make time for without going crazy
