The fact we have gone, directly, from that to essentially all of fiction as we know it today, all these vastly different ways of presenting that core feeling, is more emblematic of our potential to create than a lack thereof I think

Like take two very different things like say Narcos and Star Twinkle Pretty Cure and layer Gilgamesh over them and it's like

I dunno it's fascinating to think about

Some of these ideas would of course predate that, it's only our oldest written work, obviously we were telling stories for thousands of years around campfires before writing was an idea

And some of these concepts could even predate like

Modern humans as a species

Written in our very genetic code right over language and tool making
