@plain geyser (your lie in april manga ending spoilers):||so for me the thing is that you've got the MC, going through all of the stuff he went through and finally having his life improve a bit because of Kaori just for it to go away with a really sad message that just shows how much both of them have lost with her death, and like I had an online friend or whatever who helped me a bit when I was in a bad spot and helped motivate me to keep trying to reach my goals or whatever just to die from a terminal illness like 2 months later, and the ending of ylia just perfectly encompasses both the feeling of sadness and powerlessness from that type of situation, everyone was trying their best the whole time but there wasn't anything they could actually do and Kaori's career as a violinist and her romance were doomed to fail from the start without any chance of success no matter what anyone did. The fact that it's an SoL just also helps show how possible it is for something like that to happen to anyone, it reminds you how possible it is for someone you care about to just be there without you being able to do anything about it. I could probably talk more about it but this is the basics ig, maybe it only worked so well for me because of some of the things I've been through and my fear of powerlessness but idk||

||it also kinda makes you feel guilty, you see the protagonist's life improve and you see him like actually smile at the end and all that but it feels wrong, it feels like there's something missing because there really is something missing||
