The reason I hated him was because he was a giant edgy asshole until pretty much the last few episodes lol

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I generally just hate edgy asshole characters with every fiber of my being

every so often they might be one of the best characters but for them to be that way in my eyes, they have to be extremely unique, entertaining, and fun to watch

I can see what they were trying to go for here, but like, this ain't it. The OP song is actually pretty good, which I pity the song for being in this anime. There is literally nothing new they bring to the table in terms of 3d/CGI.

They could've either: worked on the models more so at least the clunky animation looks good when still(which is a really sad compromise) or did more time animating it well so the models wouldn't look too bad during fights. They failed both.

Overall, I'm finishing this entire show.

completely different series. Kill la Kill is about a girl fighting a bunch of different school clubs and transforming into a barely clothed costume which gives her a power up.
Akama ga Kill is more violent and gorey and it's about assassins(?)
