The Boys Final Season Introspective:

As a whole? Not too bad. Although the six major criticisms I have are Soldier Boy’s inconsistent character this season, Annie being written out of character a noticeable amount, the equally noticeable amounts of dialogue that either told rather than showed or was just incessant swearing (ahem Kimiko), the shameless Vought Rising ads nearly every episode (especially regarding “Clara”), the Gen V cast getting sidelined, and Ryan equally getting sidelined. The finale was surprisingly a good amount satisfying, although I did wish it didn’t feel urgent enough at times. Sage and Firecracker definitely improved from Season 4, I do say so for myself. And, I definitely think Kimiko, Mother’s Milk, Firecracker are my standouts this season. Also, I do have to say I definitely felt the smaller scope, despite a grander villainous plot for Homelander. Overall, pretty average, with an inoffensive hype moments and aura filled series finale episode.

The Beginning (Beast-Yeast): ||To start things off, once upon a time there were these Virtues who once held the Ancient Cookies' Soul Jams and acted as Divine Emissaries, baked by some of the First Witches. But for their own reasons they become corrupted and are known as the Beast Cookies. Throughout the chaos, the First Witches went missing (which is a whole other story from another game). For this, the last Virtue to be corrupted, Silent Salt Cookie and the Silver Kingdom's ruler, Elder Faerie Cookie use a spell from the Witches to seal all the Beasts in the Silver Tree, Silent Salt included. And then the Soul Jam lights appear (despite what the fandom says, they are not pure evil so keep that in mind) and scatter across the world to find new holders. The lights also tasked Elder Faerie Cookie to twist the stories so that it looks like the Witches who sealed them in the tree.||

Beginning of Beginning (Millennial Advent): ||Millennial Tree was born as a sprout... Apparently? (Because iirc in CROB he's already a grown ass tree when time begins). He meets Little Wind (Wind Archer Cookie) who was flying freely around the forest. They talk, become friends and then the Millennial Tree takes a Cookie form. Because of his guardian duties, he can't really just move freely and explore the world and when he does with Lil Wind, the whole forest just vanishes. After they remembered what the Sugar Swan said to them in the sweet forest, he then gave Lil Wind a new Cookie Form. And at some point during the previous "Beginning" story (The Beasts emerge), he went through slumber||

There's this thing in the CR Universe called "Het Multiversum!™", each of the games are their own core timelines

Although they are separate from each other, some aspects of certain game's lore DO affect the other games. Like CRWC (which has some important lore of the First Witches) has impacted all the other games, mostly CRK as five of the First Witches baked the Beasts

But I think that's mostly for the First Witches lore, the whole CRWC Episodes and Witches Saga onwards are in their own core timeline

Believe it or not the TBD are kinda important to all of the games because they're the ones who manage these multiverse things, and most recent times, CROB and CRK (two of the biggest CR games) have some catastrophic event to the timelines

This causes a red alert emergency in the TBD headquarters but good thing they went to fix it immediately. This causes the events of Operation: Now Hiring!||
In CRK (Timeline of Fate spoilers), ||Shadow Milk Cookie went back to the past where Silent Salt and Elder Faerie do the sealing ritual (or in SM's perspective, "where it all went wrong", turned Silent Salt into an actual mindless beast and sealed Elder Faerie instead, causing the core timeline to SPLIT. The event was so catastrophic and new to the TBD it's considered as DOUBLE RED EMERGENCY.||

Caught up with The Tutorial Is Too Tough at 270 Chapters.

I have… mixed feeling about this power fantasy tower slop. It genuinely has some good to great moments (floor 18 is my favorite as the MC suffers the consequences of his actions, and also Floor 35 wih is such a good idea for a stage ||where the MC has to redo everything up to that point again, allowing him to explore things he couldn’t the first time around||!) The MC is actually fascinating that with all His edginess he’s multifaceted and can be complex at times. I also like how the story is told between future him and past him, I think it was done much better than So I’m A Spider, So What?’s anime (which the manga made the right call of telling a completely linear story instead but that’s a different talk.). But I really don’t like the floor skipping at times (except when it’s hilarious why it happened), and every time they had the chance to show what they’re like… they don’t. More importantly despite all I like it’s STILL decidedly power fantasy slop lol, and I still can’t stand the MC.

So yeah wouldn’t really recommend it, even as I continue to follow it. Haha.

Joou no Hana (The Queen’s Flower) beat in 43 chapters. Damn good stuff and glad to say they nailed the ending. To be very reductive, game of thrones set in ancient China Shoujo style. It’s about the trials and tribulations of a princess and her slave as she carved her mark in history with so many twists and turns. The political intrigue and twists and turns kept me gripped haha.
