I see
then he just enslaved their species
harbingers are awoken weapons but also kinda sentient? Techeuns have their own they have to bond with
they were the big energy spheres Mara used against oryxâs fleet
and also apparently something to do with the ley lines this season
Calus is hella annoying. I used to like him when i started back when calus was in nexus but after years of no info about him and some great character development by making him die by his own greed, it made me dislike him in a good way.
Yippee
What are ley lines in this game? Ive heard it in other games being like "roots of the tree of the world" but is it the same here?
so basically, thereâs multiple layers to reality
one of these layers is the ascendant realm
very pretty and homey place
the awoken Dreaming City has become intertwined with it so thereâs lots of gaps between the two you can cross over but none of itâs really specific
so the awoken created the blind well, which is able to effectively pick and choose where you enter and where you exit
those are ley lines
the problem is that only one of the two has to be in the dreaming city
so, for example, if an enemy managed to capture the ley lines, they could bring an entire army through
so the blind well is very important to keep guarded
hence the public event
There are only 2 passageways in the blind well?
you can pick and choose where they go
so thereâs potentially an infinite amount
but it requires you control the blind well
I see alright
Im already confused enough with the ascendant realm and how someone can pass through it and create their own "bubble" there so idk if i wanna go too deep into it lmao
those are throne worlds
Like savathuns throne world is like a bubble in the ascendant realm correct?
through the use of their access to darkness and worms, you can carve out a section of the ascendant realm and claim it as your own
the process is kind of complicated so not just anyone can have one
itâs not like owning stasis gives you a throne world
itâs a specific process that takes a lot of knowledge and inner workings of the hiveâs sword logic
complicated is usually how it goes
in the most basic sense, itâs kill or be killed taken to a zealous degree
give view the concept of life as a competition they have to prove their right to participate in
if youâre killed, you were never worthy of dying
if youâre a survivor, you proved youâre more worthy to exist
at the same time, this is tied to the hiveâs tithing system
their leaders (kings, gods, generals, whatever) proved themselves over you, but itâs not a constant gore fest
since theyâre more worthy than you, youâre meant to serve them
you do their bidding, fight their fights, give up portions of the spoils
this is a command chain that goes all the way up to the worm gods themselves
so the weakest thrall getting a bit of power has to share it with its superior, which then gets shared, and shaded some more, etc
I see okayyyyy hell yea
Xivu is heavily into the sword logic idr but i do remember eris having to prove herself
So thats the sword logic
Eris had the benefit of not having any worms or gods to pay tribute to
the guardians generating her tribute also had no means of collecting it themselves, so every ounce was transferred directly to her
she then also collected all of Savathunâs billions of years worth of stockpiled tribute
instead of falling into the same cycle of violence, however, Eris used all this power to cut Xivu off from her own, rendering her crippled
now she gets to relax and have tea
Ayy i mean idk who can relax when the universe is at stake but sickkkk
Nah thankfully this game's lore is making sense most of the time
Adding to the Sword Logic, worms are able to feed off of Death, as in they literally process the ontological concept of something ceasing to exist, something dying
Hmmm
This is also that same tithe that a Hive is able to take a little bit of to grow on strength as well as tithe to whomever is above them
How do they feed off of something that doesn't exist?
what do u mean?
But it does exist
Being metaphysical does not mean it does not exist, just that it doesnât follow conventional definitions of existence
You have feelings and (ignoring the biology involved) they still exist
also after sagera died can osires not use any light ability's now?
It exists in non physical ways
He cannot, yeah
Nope
Thats why he uses strand
Well thats not the reason exactly
He finds it satisfying
Fascinating*
then hell was he gona do in light fall then?!
Strand alone is really strong but he wont be necessarily fighting
He will be like in lf
As a tactician
Not all the characters are going to be active in the battle field, they can be consultants who research for us
Well do we know that?
Actually yeah, because the trailer, my b
Zavala is in that one part
Yeap I'm only speaking from what the trailer showed
And mara is my assumption
No way she doesn't fight
There will many that will fight, not just us ofc like that wouldn't make sense
Maybe the harbinger would agree to be used as a weapon
I wanna see drifter in action specifically
I feel like he has the least lore out of the lightbearers
He can wield stasis too
Forgot about that
it would be cool to see eris drifter and elsie team up again like in beyond light
It talks about his past right?
How he suffered because of the light and all that
He wanted to die but he couldn't and all that i cant exactly recall much
chat is this real
no
you've got to wake up, Hally
do we have any physical (digital?) evidence that the Drifter and Eris Morn have some sort of relationship?
We follow paths obscured.
â
"The path to the Witness is within sight. We do not know what shape Riven's bargain will take, but I know that we two will not make that crossing."
Drifter listened quietly as Eris spoke, her voice tense. The dark tendrils flowed thickly from beneath her bandage.
"I watch as those closest to me edge toward oblivion,...
Does that count?
yeah that seems pretty damning
did they ever explain what fish ghost was?
The pouka? Yea
Not a Ghost. Itâs a Pouka
Itâs some sort of nanotech creature that was invented on Neptune. Elsie found hers abandoned on a remote space station
Artificial lifeforms. They're used as... therapy animals.
They communicate through feelings that evoke your own memory
aww emotion support fish
Theyâre artificial lifeforms but also can be wild/feral or domesticated right?
There's a three part story to Elsie's Pouka
Speed Metal Shell, Quicksilver Storm, and Elsie's LF CE entry.
probably explains why they where attached to osires in light fall
Seems funky
Yes
They're sort of like cyborgs turned wild
Would you say Darkness gives them consciousness?
I was just wondering considering how lifelike they behave but also their connection to memory
are the grimoire's a good read
im considering buying the hardbacks
my brain didnt brain
Sure. They're Collections of older existing lore regarding particular overarching topics. Some have a unique piece of lore here and there, too.
whats the most interesting one in your opinion
with adhd its hard for me to stay hooked so i wanna binge something
Probably the most recent ones but it depends on your interests
i mean
something mysterious i guess?
or like
something to do with wars, or weapon lore or something
cabal lore might be the right thing
and lore about the power of light and darkness, like the lore behind void, solar, arc etc.
the cabal must be my fav race ngl
they're interesting
same for taken/fallen
The Grimoires don't really go into that too much.
wasn't thier something about the light and darkness chess game?

i dont hink taken have allot of lore
Sounds like you're referring to Unveiling
sounds interesting
The descriptions on the store will explain what they're generally covering
sure the hive have ALLOT of lore
Ironically the most of Taken lore is in Grimoires
Betttt
Okay I forgot about them but theyâre cool too
Are those weird little darkness portals we use now even explained why they started forming?
Alright lore question
Ima need @chrome fog levels of exposition on this one
The caretaker
How long has it been in rhulk pyramid
How long has it been classified as scorn
And (friends theory)
The scorn from rivens wish are based on the caretaker
I'm not sure what you mean by the second question
It's a Scorn with an experimental Hive Worm infusion
You'd have to elaborate on the third one
As for the first, it would've only been there since either the Glykon incident or the Light wards broke
Mael got all the points
Cause I also dunno all these save for it being an experiment of Rhulkâs where he put a Hive Worm in a Scorn
Well, the only successful one. He's done many more; look inside the amber in the Sunken Pyramid.

Should I reword this?
In onslaught?
In just about anywhere. They're in the throne world, they're in neomuna
Should I get a SS?
Presumably the enemy factions make them with their Pyramid tech and/or Darkness and we're just using them.
No lore?
Not explicitly for these specific portals, no. It's environmental storytelling.
3 imo
you can get them all for free as pdfs so you can make sure you like them before buying
the dark age part of 2 is peak but the eliksni part is a snoozefest
was like a history textbook
first half of 1 is just the books of sorrow but the books of sorrow are peak
second half is shin malphur before he became the renegade iirc, it's alright
3 is constant peak content
exos, rasputin, cayde, ishtar collective, the brays
I think 1/2/3 have unique content that can only be found in the grimoires but 4/5/6 don't (ex: much of part 4, the brain, which offers an insider's perspective on clovis bray isn't on ishtar collective"
Why cant some high ranking (for example sigma six) like ikora use a nova bomb and then something like a blade barage?
Back to back supers are a thing, I think Ikora has done back to back supers but I'm not familiar with her lore
Here's an example of Osiris doing it: https://www.ishtar-collective.net/records/immolant-pt-2
"Solar wings combust from Osiris's back. In each hand, he wields a blade of dawn... Golden echoes split from his body to cut down fleeing Hive and soak reprisals... Osiris extinguishes a blade into his palm to form a singularity of Void and hurls a Nova Bomb that consumes them. With his other blade, he dives. He drives it into the ground, erupting a Well of Radiance surrounded by a phalanx of gilded echoes... Nobles shriek for their Thralls to charge. Bolts of flame and Arc tear through them as Osiris blinks through the Void from one echo to another... He finds a moment, wrenches a hand free, and unleashes the Reach of Chaos. The beam of Arc tears through Xivu's sigil."
Born of Wrath
"Huh." Sagira patches a strand of Light into the jumpship's control deck as they tumble through the black-drop, stars twinkling out beyond reach. "Something's in the static out thereâŚ"
"What is it?" Osiris asks.
"Some kind of subspace transmission. Hang on." Sagira boosts the jumpship's comm receiver. "It's Cabal."
"From?" Osiris a...
So, back to back: dual wielding dawnblades, naruto-esque light clones, nova bomb, well, some solar and arc shit while nova warping, and chaos reach
So for witch keep.
I just got done with it I think.
I left off at the part where I reminded the big bug lady that she became guardian again.
What I'm confused about is she greets us again and says thankyou. I'm unsure if she killed herself or something else killed her.
ok, in order to get this part fully, you need to know about Season of the Lost
...Witch Queen or Shadowkeep
Sounds like Witch Queen
Think it was witch queen
so before Witch Queen released, there was Season of the Lost where we were forced to help Savathun get rid of her Worm
in the end, we did, but Savathun got away
Oh
the cutscene you saw where she died shows what happened to her right after she got away
so Savathun died for good, but she was then rezzed as a Lightbearer
by a Ghost
Ye
now as for why she thanked us
for starters, when someone gets rezzed for the first time by a Ghost, they will have no memory of their past life
now Savathun was able to figure out who exactly she was quickly (it helped to prepare for this kind of thing), but she had no way of getting her memories back
she knew how to of course, it was just that she couldn't do it herself
she required someone who can use Deepsight (us)
Hmm makes sense.
so she left the Pyramid blade in the Lure (that large ship she parked on Mars at the start of the campaign) in order to start having us chase after important relics and to strengthen our ability to use Deepsight
Ah I see.
so while we were figuring out Savathun's plan and history, we were unknowingly showing this stuff to Savathun
so basically, she is thanking us because we played right into her hand
Make sense
and now she knows her plan and her lore
chronologically, Shadowkeep -> Beyond Light -> Witch Queen
though a lot of the important Shadowkeep stuff happened in the seasons of its release year
mainly the event that leads into Beyond Light
Oh so im just gonna be Hella confused later when I do shadowkeep
I think I made a cool summary of the events of all Destiny expansions and seasons so far here
eh, probably not
Ye thankyou
@fast crane this is the starting point
you can just keep reading down from there until you reach the point you want to stop at
also worth noting that these are pretty simplified summaries by my standards
Ye I was bit confused because when I first started shadow keep it told me to go start witch queen.
Wish they sorta fixed that
But thankyou for explanation
đ¤
yo um, can someone explain, why tf Savathuns worm just "Comes Back" after i fucking shoot it and it implodes into like, a million pieces
The descriptor text probably hints at what it is, projections of the worm but not the actual worm itself
there was a giant worm projection when we were doing the exorcism back in the Lost finale
The mother worm was actually just a projection in vow
The actual mother will be found in heresy
My source is Martian missives
Quick question. Where is Anastasia bray?
I haven't heard of her since they took out eramis for good
Also is the ship in the moon, nezarecs?
Yeah, the Moon Pyramid is Nezarec's, and it crashed in the first Collapse. The Eliksni plundered it, and created the relics of Nezarec
I never actually noticed that! Thats sick!
We've had nezarec this close to us
Was it when he tried to come destroy earth but he was given the wrong place?
That's about where my knowledge ends, lol. I know that SavathĂťn tricked him though, and that lead to his demise.
He carried the Veil on his Pyramid
Not sure what youâre referring to by that
SavathĂťn decieved the Witness to save the Traveler, yeah, and saved us in the process
Yea thats what i meant idk why i said
But didnt nezarec go to earth to also harm it in a way? Idk i might be tripping
Oh damn where from
@trim grotto this enlightened being requires pdfs of the grimoires đ
In the meantime this guy has pdfs of all the lorebooks, including massive one-pdf collections for the shadowkeep-witch queen lorebooks, if you ever wanna read them when offline
In terms of lore, what are respawn restricted zones? Why can a ghost revive someone in a few seconds usually but in these spots it takes 40ish seconds?
too much darkness
Thereâs a few theories on this
Darkness restricts the Light and thus restricts the Lightâs ability to resurrect
Or a theory tying in to the timeline theory (in which we are bought back based on blueprints from timelines where we did not die) which posits that a Darkness zone is somewhere we face overwhelming odds and there are less to no timelines in which we survive
But also, to an extent, itâs just a gameplay mechanic at times
They are mentioned in lore but I cannot imagine it is entirely 1:1
I thought it might have been something to do with darkness, but if a ghost revives you, it basically sparks the light in you back up again, correct me if I'm wrong, but if that's the case, when you're on stasis or strand, would it not be creating darkness to an extent? However, like you did just say, the gameplay to lore probably isn't 1:1
Rasputin, originally. Now, Anastasia Bray.
Technically speaking, all living beings have some sliver of Darkness within them. It is, as Light is, everywhere, in all things.
Like the Force
I was gonna say that lol
Sorry
Uh, sure. Probably. I didn't get that much into Star Wars.
For?
A character basically said something similar regarding the force, so thatâs why I mentioned it
I mean on a very loose level, strand and the force are similar
For Honor
but how many sci fi/fantasy things have some underlying thing relating to all living things
Let's start with what doesn't, the list will be shorter
I don't recall the original link but I've got the actual files if you want them
The Naâvi from Avatar
And that tree
exactly
The lesser Avatar
itâs just a basic premise so I wouldnât look to deep into it
at least strand is unique in that you can spawn sentient maggots that explode
on the topic of this, I wouldnât say itâs so much as the over abundance of darkness, but just the limited reach of light
the two can go hand in hand but theyâre not always the same
the traveler cage cut off the travelerâs reach from everything, but that wasnât creating darkness
there are some places the light just canât reach so good
Darkness is the absence of light
the basic concept of it, sure
but Darkness is literally a quantifiable force in destint
Would light being unable to reach stuff be related to distance from the traveller?
Not when it comes to paracausality.
Light and Dark work best in a balance. They are natural forces, two sides of the same coin, but an overabundance of one can be an issue.
Nothing has thus far suggested so.
Outside of like, early D1
The traveler is on earth, and Neptune for instance is millions of miles away
So distance, at least from what we know, isnât an issue
And then there's the other dimensional planes of the Black Garden and Throne World
This is a world of full Dark, no sparks
shocking thought but the nine might not be good people
Xur is a homie though
What does xur look like without his hood
darkness zones because i didn't want to type it
We've never actually seen that
Probably like a hunter with one of those cloaks that doesn't have a hood
I hope he has luscious flowing locks
or more tentacles
probably just a head covered in tentacles
A hunter without a cape is like a bird without feathers

I will mention that these two theories are not mutually exclusive
They can exist together simultaneously
SchrĂśdingerâs cat mindset
cat named schrodinger
Also cat named SchrĂśdinger:
I'm bored and I wanna talk lore but I don't have anything to start with
And yes before someone tries to tell me about the embryo I already know
hmmm
C o w t h i n g
Cow thing
đ

The Cow Thingâ˘ď¸!
the cow thang
same same
The Cowthing.
Alright so
This is actually from the same lorebook as the embryo because Seth is Just Kinda Like Thatâ˘ď¸ when it comes to his writing
Good ol seth
Picture, if you will, a ship in space. The bridge of the most technologically advanced Exodus colony vessel ever launched, cruising through the void of space near the edge of the Sol System.
I've got the axium or whatver from walle
Aboard this bridge is a 19 year old human named Mara Sov, and her ship's captain, Captain Alice Li.
Captain Li offers them tea. Mara cannot imagine the ways in which she is butchering what must be an intricate and meaningful tea ceremony. Li serves some very battered pre-Traveler ceramic sloshing with hot green tea, then immediately adulterates her own cup with milk from the Cow Thing on the biodeck.
"Revolting, isn't it?" She smiles at Mara's bewildered horror.```
Cow Thiiiing
What is so revolting
Milk
In green tea
Whatâs green tea?
Why would you not have milk in it?
tastes atrocious by the way, take my word for it
Eris do it
Like c'mon I know what it iz
Haven't really tasted it since I'm american + southern so the only tea I've ever really liked is sweet tea (I'm so sorry)
Is green tea with leaves?
i will remove you from the clan

Just answer my question
there are dozens of types of tea
made with different leaves or blends
green tea is... what's something you would recognise...
you watch anime right
Uh company
green tea sucks
No
Thatâs a disease not a color
mmm
Sorry forgot the /s
Thatâs not anime
it's what uncle iroh makes
I just thought itâs funny you described the color as sickly essentially
Is avatar anime? It's not Japanese though
Tbh kinda is. Super murky. No chance to even see thru it
potato potato
I did wonder if it was tbh
He doesnât call it green tea though lmao, itâs just tea
yes because it's an asian setting
So what is the cow thing.. is it like
A mini cow?
itâs a synthetic milk source
Ah
itâs an apparatus that dispenses milk without any need for a real cow
so itâs just called cow thing
Speaking of Iroh and tea, did you know Iroh canonically invents boba tea?
because thatâs what itâs there for
Amazing
I am both curious and put off by the thought of synthesizing dairy milk
Which funny enough took off big time a while after the show
how about doghives
Tbf he invents it in the comics, not the show
Can I offer you a doghive
I imagine that was after it was popular irl
My influence GROWS yeeeessss
hogdive
that
Oh naw Ive always liked bionicles they're so good for giant golems in Lego things
With fleshy bits : )
Oh
Though the Bionicle most are familiar with are mainly mechanical, it is all made of their Liquid Metal protodermis
This is destiny lore not bionicle lore
Shsh I am but dispensing tidbits
Thatâs because the first time round it didnât have one and the g2 show was only four episodes on Netflix
um guys, since lighfall is ending (suprisingly this fast). do we know what the fuck the Veil is?
We do have a much better idea about it now
TL;DR: It appears to be the Traveler equivalent for the Darkness- An object/entity through which the weave, the web of consciousness that links all living minds, flows through.
so its a darkness traveler
Sorta kinda
During the Veil Containment missions, Osiris speculated that Light and Darkness used to be one, singular force. As the Veil and the Traveler share a link, this implies the two used to be a singular entity at one point.
What caused the schism, we donât know. Some speculate the Veil might be the Winnower, thus indicating that Unveiling may have some semblance on what happened.
In which case that might make the Witness the First Blade then.. Could explain the description of it have a million blades, maybe?
Correction on the Weave, it's similar to the Ascendent Plane in that it underlies the physical plane of reality but it is not necessarily sourced nor connected to the Veil; the Veil simply allows us to view the Weave and utilize it as Strand
I do believe I heard it being centered on the Veil
But I would have to go digging for iiiiiit
When I have the brainpower
I feel like it was in Wish, when Osiris was doing Veil talk with Mara
Sure send them over
apparently the twid has this snippet
Hidden cipher-sequences buried in the symbols throughout have been decrypted by a pioneering Cryptarch, thanks to countless fireteams keeping the way clear. The solved sequence is believed to be astronomical coordinates to Lubrae. (Probe dispatched⌠awaiting arrival.)

this is talking about the symbols we read in rhulk pantheon
đ
aint lubrae like . . . . . destroyed tho
we aint gunna see shit
new vacation hotspot
i was wondering that as well
my bretheren in light, there IS no vacation spot
just space
that shit has been blown up long before we were even existing
what do you think people do in Utah
itâs the novelty of there being nothing
bro FUCK utah, its just Rock, rock and FUCKING ROCK
Petition to Nuke Utah off the face of the earth
then itâs just going to be full of mutated lizards
That'll make it better
no more boring ass rocks
I mean the remains of the planet are still gonna be there
Idk, it could be fun to go on a space cruise to see the ruins of Lubrae
and wtf are you going to do on the chared barren asteroids of lubrae
Take a selfie and say âI was here!â
"I went to the ruins of Lubrae, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt"
Rhulkâs house will miraculously have survived and just be floating in space
weâll find his hidden diary with a heart padlock and inside will be the key to destroying the witness
is there any other mentions of the "paraverse"? https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1159331740230352956/1240745551264481381/image.png?ex=6647add7&is=66465c57&hm=e7777315dc7bda8c803b7fc7552556625c38c5cf5aa70e859d52f49b9f57d8aa&
or is it exclusive to dares quotes
Just Dares
hmm, any other mentions of it other than this one quote do you know?
Not off the top of my head, I'd have to go look
As far as I know, the Paraverse references the other universes/continuities of Bungie's other/past properties
also sec someone at the door
if we take it like that then cabal, vex, hive, taken and eliksni all exist within the other coninuities of like halo, marathon and other universes in destiny, id honestly just take it the same as the definition of paracausal that we had which just meant "between/beyond" causality
so the starhorse draws these treasures and enemies from outside of our reality
yeah but it gives a lot of relevance to our guardian since the statement mentions contestants, which includes our guardian no?
speculation af this is
but
chat, so Crow could be the leader of the Hunter Vanguard?
And is Cayde capable of killing a Guardian?
does that mean that our guardian is also from outside this reality?
No
Of course
Cayde is an exceptional Guardian
And has absolutely played Crucible before
cayde is that guy
hed probs fuck up a guardian without using any weapons if he really needed to
but most likely hed just oneshot with ace
It's probably gonna go that way, tbh
Especially with Crow soon to meet Cayde
why not when we are also contestants in dares?
the way i see it going is crow apologizing, cayde forgiving and ikora giving crow the mantle
no like, permanently
yeah

Itâs referring to the enemies. And youâre looking way too hard into a goofy, barely canon gamemode
hes capable of having paracasual shots?
I was told in order to kill a ghost you need Paracasual bullets/effect
nah i know im looking at it too hard, im just looking into it powerscaling wise thats all đ
You were told wrong
Ghosts can be killed by conventional fire
How does one kill a ghost?
you tellin me a random fucking scorn had paracausal bullets?
Conventional? You mean like even normal bullets?
That being said, Cayde is a Guardian so can absolutely kill a Ghost easily
idk man that's what I was told
Or a Fallenâs Arc knives
Ignoring the fact that thatâs banned and will result in some sort of martial punishment, if you can kill some one in crucible, you can probably also wait for their ghost to pop up and then crush them like hive ghosts
Well, they did tbf
The Hangman used a Devourer round
Yeah
It was intended for Cayde âcause it would have killed him without having to kill Sundance
Not the Hangman
The Rifleman
yeah
thanks for info chat
But the Rifleman shot Sundance because he was cruel
tbh im more interested in how the corridors of time tie into the final shape
To make Cayde lose his friend, suffer, then die instead of just dying without really knowing it
with our grave and all
makes me think that saint aint gonna be there at the final encounter with the witness since he doesnt mention it
No, we are from this reality; the usage of the prefix Para- is meant to be short for âparallelâ, for Paracausality we cause phenomena through a âparallelâ cause to how theyâd normally occur - instead of using fuel and igniter we use Light - and for the Paraverse it is parallel universes to the one we are in now, itâs just Bungieâs fancy word for multiverse
(most likely wasnt planned at that time)
yeah but since our guardian is "paracausal" then wtf does that mean in terms of causality?
Not at all considering the Corridors of Time were inside a Vex simulation and we are entering into the Traveler
if we use "parallel" as the prefix
Quite literally, just magic
We cause naturally occurring phenomena but outside of the circumstances they would happen in
So instead of a bunch of stardust coalescing together and then collapsing into a Star, we just summon Solar
Paracausality doesnât equate to us coming from a parallel universe, just that we are able to eschew the natural rules of physics and do whatever, to an extent
nah im sayin paracausality means by definition that we would be beyond causality,
so by that same definition, if we use the "para" prefix
And why wouldnât it be the normal physical processes which cause something to happen?
because it wouldnt be physics only, it would be more fundamental than that
mathematics are more fundamental than physics
logic is more fundamental than mathematics

Iâm just gonna
and mathematics is governed by logic
we can agree to disagree as to not make a huge argument over it đ
Guess how we develop mathematics. Hint, it involves observing what is possible in the universe
do you wanna agree to disagree or wanna continue arguing? đ
And to the point that mathematics is based on logic, how do you think logic is developed?
What would it be based on?
pls answer my question
Are there schools in Destiny
And how old does a person have to be to be a lightbearer
Observable patterns of cause and effect that occur in existence. To which, physics is the application of logic and thus mathematics to these observations
DO YOU WANNA ARGUE FURTHER OR AGREE TO DISAGREE?
answer the question
instead of babbling on
Are you going to listen when someone says Causality is Physics or are you going to keep being contrarian to prove a point?
cus im not gonna talk to someone who says "whatever" then proceeds to continue
i asked you a simple question which you have not responded to
ffs
Hey who is taox??
Led the Helium Drinkers coup against the Osmium Court, was also royal tutor to the Osmium Princesses, technically last remaining proto-hive/Krill, currently floating somewhere in space trapped in some prism or whatever after trying to help a species fight back against the Hive I believe
Thereâs no argument to be made when there is a clear definition of what Causality and Paracausality are in the Destiny universe based on explanations given in the Unveiling lorebook which also correspond to conventional understanding of how Paracausality in both the Light and Darkness operates
still no answer to my question
im just gonna end it here
Iâd like to continue since youâre being childish
Ohhh so potentially story from that character in the future!
Eeeeehhhhh
Itâs been years since their mention, but yes there is some potential to explore Taox further should Bungie cover them again
it would be neat to see what Taox has been up to..
If she's even alive, tho
Well I guess even if she is dead, it would be interesting to see what she did after Fundament
They did the same with Nezarec, who was only mentioned in a Red War exotic warlock helm, then the next time he was mentioned was in Haunted, then again in Plunder where his remains were an important part of the narrative
Well what else could the new big saga be about? Vex ig? Cabal maybe?
We have no idea ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Aphelions?
Yea im just hypothesizing its very fun imo
We know thereâs the Heresy and the Revenant episodes after Final Shape, which look to be Hive and Scorn central narratives, and we are presuming that Echos is going to be Vex themed based on the silhouette and foliage in the background, but no real confirmation what it is
We could get information on the Hezen Lords, as they have similarly been neglected in the lore and maybe they could be developed into actual villains with character that we can directly see ourselves in opposition against instead of the Vex being a sort of sandbag enemy race
I would love to see that
Idk destiny has such huge potential for lore i dont want it to end lmao
My answer if you took some time to read is that there isnât an argument to be made because there is clear definition for what physics are as well as how they are paralleled to Paracausality, thus making physics Causality by logical deduction. To again use the example I had provided, Paracausality would be creating a flame without the lighter or anything else, solely when you will it to be
If you would like to ask anyone else who is knowledgable on the definition of lore terms such as Hally Bo, Mael, Dova, Waltz, Eris, or Stasis, then that would most likely be best to reaffirm to you that Causality is Physics and Paracausality is just doing magic
If you want to continue to disagree then fine by me, but regardless of what you accept the lore regards Paracausality in the way that I had described and would most likely be described by any other individuals whom you might ask about the lore from
Do we know anything about Vex Mythoclast apart from what is said in its lore tab?
Donât believe so? There might be some entries floating about that I havenât read but itâs still a mystery as to how and why the Vex Mythoclast is the way it is and why it is fitted for human hands
Apart from that, what else is weird about it?
What happened to the psion rebels and talon the shattered?
Toldand the shattered?
He was part of the first crotas end fireteam, half of whom were killed
Tolan idr from the shattered throne
His body is dead but his consciousness lives on in his own ascendant plan because of a hive ritual
Yea toland
Toland's still around
His ascendant plane is that little white ball
Oh he's just there
Before he tried to kill crota he was banished from the tower for being a lil too interested in hive magic
For gameplay purposes yea
Just gives us some more
i can only assume there would be schools for normal civilians, and theres definatley schools or atleast training programs for lightbearers
Do weapon foundries count?
Shaxx at least runs drills with New Lights on infusing their bullets with Light so they punch a bit more
ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
How about
Also technically Crucible counts as teaching Guardians
Uhh whatâs their name, the group that tempted us with skimmers
Concordat
nope doesnt really seem to be a minimum age, iirc shin was a very young kid when he got his ghost
Worst class in the world for some
Isn't that just everything Vex?
If you can handle sweats, you can probably deal with raid mechanics at a hard difficulty
count for what?
A type of school
i mean they probably run apprenticeships or something but foundaries are just companies
That is solely from the Vex Mythoclast lore tab; as far as we know, Vex still follow along the normal stream of time but are extremely capable in their simulating abilities to the extent that they can perfectly simulate alternate pasts and futures, though the accuracy of said simulations is muddled by the existence of Paracausality since it lies outside of the Vexâs understanding, and supposedly they have total conception of all levels of physics
Shaxx as the Crucible teacher be like:
"Take this gun and go out there."
"But what do I do?"
"Survive"
I see
Also if you make it from wherever you are to the Tower, at the very least you have some survival capabilities
foundaries are just the destiny equivelants of real world gun/armour manufacturers
The soap company making fusion rifles:
Such as tĂş, playing as the Guardian and making it all the way from the Cosmodrome to the Last City
assuming this questioning if they are a school aswell, no the concordat are just a faction, like dead orbit, fwc and nm
I see
Shaw Han:
In fairness the D1 experience is a bit more impressive with only Ghost there to guide you
Disney in the year 10567 making Mickey Mouse-themed weapons
What year exactly does Destiny 2 take place in?
so, lubrae is the next destination?
There are orders and groups of various Classes - the Praxics, the Pilgrim Guard and whomever their successor is, the Titan one the Solar hammer was forged by, there are various groups that are likely to take in new Lightbearer recruits and teach them the ropes, but admittedly theyâre probably for those that already have their basics established
we can only make rohgh guess, bungie dont do confirmed dates
Lubraeâs destroyed, Rhulk blew up the star it revolved about and was powered by
surely bungie wouldn't tease something fucking awesome like visiting a destroyed planet barren of its own sun and jus tnot follow up on it
Unclear, as the Golden Age lasted an undetermined amount of time and even though we can somewhat place the duration of the Dark Age between a couple centuries and a millennia, there is also a significant amount of time that the City Age has lasted
latest TWAB
Foreshadowing is a literary device in whi-

Where's that from?

@eager trout
We thought Old Manhattan was going to be where Witch Queen took place as similar to the aesthetic of the trailers, the place was somewhat described as a hive-invested swampy area. We also have other destroyed planetary locations such as Riis and Torobatl, and the countless other places destroyed by the Hive and Pyramid forces separately
What is that?
Chicago
sorry, TWID
Not Manhattan
This Week At Bungie
Could be just for Pantheon, but also yeah this is pretty damning
Manhattan is a nuclear zone
WHAT'S THAT??
It's bungie's weekly news article
Oh
This Week in Destiny
This Week at Bungie/ This Week in Destiny
I think visiting a planet that faced destruction through natural decimation rather than one destroyed through war would be a very different vibe
Nothing a Guardian can't handle
Blowing up a star is not natural decimation
I mean, more natural than just war being brought down
He basically blew up a planetary object sized nuclear reactor
the sun fucking blowing up is still natural in a sense
Natural decimation accelerated a few hundreds of billion years
I want the hazardous propulsion armor to actually have failsafe in it and she berates you every time you die
Can finally move
she gives you reassurance when you die to an enemy but gets sassy when you die to the architects
"If I could survive my ship falling into a planet, you can survive a small drop down a cliff"
Update from Ishtar collective server: Joxer (rest in pieces) had one, which confirms the existence of multiple Mythoclasts
https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/ancient-apocalypse-mark
"Had a face like the end-times and eyes like manna in the desert. One look at him, and I knew I wasn't gonna be saved." âThe Drifter
â
Drifter made his way back towards the rear of the train, from where he had come. He passed Joxer and Redrix, who had apparently found the Redjacks Drifter had decapitated. The two scrambled to put the frames back...
every single guardian is paracausal
indeed, the term means youâre above causality
itâs not some high and mighty term only a select few have, though
every ghost is paracausal, along with everyone they resurrect
all hive and taken are also paracausal, and scorn
Just get a secret second path towards pyromancy/electrokinesis/gyrokinesis (really? Thatâs what gravity controlâs name is?)
Skip the molotovs, the tasers, the⌠pocket singularity pulling all mass towards itself that you somehow have contained, just snap your fingers and they appear before you
for the record, there is zero reason for the weapon to exist on a conceptual and logical level
vex have zero need to make a gun fit for human hands, and vex guns arenât conventional guns in the first place
theyâre extensions of vex frames that literally donât function unless connected to a working vex
it just exists
and thereâs an infinite amount of them
the inner workings are also a literal paradox
Hello waltz, forgot to say earlier
hullo
Could the vex be the strongest ig race rn?
If there were no paracausality, yes
Not Hawthorne
Lil off topic but if you could wield any destiny power what would you pick
Damn.. btw how were they created like what's their origin?
Do we know?
Eeeeeeh kind of but also not really
An origin is given in Unveiling, but itâs not corroborated with any other entry and Unveiling is unreliable due to how it is from a biased perspective (the Witness, because we get the entries from the Pyramids during Season of Arrivals); we do have Entelechy in the Final Shape Collectorâs Edition which might insinuate that the Vex were discovered or created by the Precursors - the Witness species before they all ritualistically sacrificed themselves to become the Witness - but regardless there isnât much on their origins
Luis is definitely the final shape
All will become bird
Louis
Waittttt the vex came from the precursors whoa
What a way to connect them all
We donât know for sure
Itâs not explicitly stated
Oh its a theory
Thereâs some language to imply that yes, theyâre talking about the Vex, but itâs not a hard confirmation that yes, the Vex were made by them
Ohh okay got it
So the vex are as old as them
Even older maybe
Do we know like very generally how long ago the precursors had the traveler?
a lot longer than the earthâs existence
well
The Dreadnought is older than the solar system
The Hive is older than that
Rhulk's older than the Hive
and the Witness is ?????? however much older than Rhulk so
Stupidly long time ago
Brother what
Omg
A victim of the dcv
Omg thats way too much like ofc the traveler is way older than him right?
Dumb question
Yes it is
If that part of Unveiling is true, then it would mean the Traveler is older than the universe
Assuming it's true
But irregardless, the Traveler is the oldest known entity
Quite possibly/probably the oldest period
If not counting the potential entity from when the Traveler and Veil were once one

so, wait- is the flower game a fabrication?
If we count that we go even further back
Unveiling is something given to us by the Witness
cus as far as we know the winnower doesn't exist right
Unveiling was always kind of a propaganda piece, buutuutututt there still remains the possibility some elements might be true
Which just don't know which
Yea no way they ending the story by winning against the witness
I need a 2 hour cutscene explaining everything
Not hidden in the books but fully a fully drawn cutscene
Or us going to the past exploring it
Nessus is still available
Reeeeaaaad
Red war is gone, meaning pretty much most of her screentime is gone
One picture is 1000 words!!
Main AI for one of the Exodus colony ships, specifically Exodus Black, they crash landed on Nessus and the crew all died or were killed by the Vex present there
Sadge.. best planet no joke i love it
nessus is just that planet you go to for a nightfall and xur
With the 3rd episode we could see nessus being active again
Amd fishing back in season of the deep
You mean the first
Yes
Not even with Fikrul working towards developing them as an actually civilization instead of shambling reanimated Eliksni corpses?
That yes
But i dont have enough info to the point where it will make me lock in
Like vex for me are just mysterious
I started back when venus and titan and io was a thing and i never got the dlc so idk the story
All i remember was the amazing vex structures and the huge portal
In venus
And the poor man that was always inside the building vance i think
Whatâs his role in d2? He kinda just showed up

Heâs been around since D1; explanation who he is:
#đlore-discussion message
tl;dr big solar system wide defense system AI who was also being developed to have personhood from the Golden Age, lasted until Season of the Seraph where he sacrificed himself for the safety of the Traveler and the Last City
Wait so how is he back?
He's not
He's dead
If you're seeing or hearing mention of him as if he hasn't passed away, that's probably older content
He was just in the tower like not that long ago? His paw prints are there??
âHe has a bunker full of space weaponsâ
âI live in your backpackâ
normally something happens two weeks before the end of the season/year
Thereâs a finale?
There's always a finale
if I'm correct, there's still a secret triumph for Wish
Rasputin is not Archie
Wha- but I investigated the law prints and it gave me the âwhereâs Archie?â Quest thing
You were asking about who made Archie, which was Rasputin. Rasputin made Archie but Archie is not Rasputin.
Ooohhh ok so Archieâs still alive?!
What do you get from them? Like loot wise
the tokens for the Brave arsenal as well as some neat souvenirs
And to reiterate: you asked earlier who made Archie, and we said it was Rasputin. Rasputin had sacrificed himself to protect the Traveler and the Last City and is dead now, but we found Archie, his last creation. Archie has been hanging around near Ada-1 for a good while now, and the can still be found after doing the "Where's Archie?" quests
So Rhulk âentertainingâ a fight with us meant when he fought he didnât take it serious?
So if he would have used full power whatever that is the guardians would have lost?
Yea
Him taking the fight seriously is the wipe mechanic
For reference
Just read his TWAB lore but thatâs nuts i guess
But at the same time we werenât a push over since he died. I hope TFS does not disappoint lore wise.
Wait wait wait how DID shaxx lose his horn
..I don't understand
but I'm leaning towards Six Fronts
What is this six fronts
it left at the end of Y3
which was the end of Season of Arrivals
Ohh and which was the season with the huge taken tree?
Six Fronts was an attack the Fallen made on the Last City encampment
Six Fronts refers to the Titan orders who defended the encampment on six different fronts
Twilight Gap was another major battle in which the Fallen tried to attack the Last City
it took place on the Crucible map of the same name
before the battle, several Fallen Houses banded together to launch an assault
there were the Kings, Devils, and Winter
Fucking fallen
Tree of Silver Wings? Also Arrivals
the Wolves were supposed to join in too (and would have turned the tide in their favor) had Mara Sov not intervened by destroying the asteroid 3 Ceres (which was their base of operations) starting the Reef War
Well that season started the player in a place full of taken and u had to jump to go over to them
Idr exactly how it was cuz back then i only had the main game
So i didnt do the seasonal quests
? Defiant maybe? We travel through the Ascendent Plane to free prisoners aboard Pyramid vessels
I do remember doing the red war starter quest tho
No no it was way back
It was like when nessus had a ton of ppl still
And mercury Io titan and venus was still in the game
Calus' ship was still in the corner iirc
Back when his raid was a thing
Like i played somewhere in between there
Back then f2p was very bad compared to now i remember not being able to do anything
Primaries had ammo
And all that
yeah I'm pretty sure it was Arrivals
Y3 was when the game turned F2P
and Taken weren't relevant in Y3 until Arrivals
Primary ammo was maybe halfway through BL release year? I think?
Probably that since calus' ship was still on nessus
When i was playing there was no infinite ammo
You had to pick it up
The white ones
Yea maybe arrivals tbh
Oh i remember something that could help
There was a huge ass hive wizard that we fought in mars
A vanguard mission i believe
That wizard was like a big important name
Idr it now
Yeah thatâs what Iâm referring to
Oh right right
Yeap i was taking a break at that point iirc
a shame, Lost was really good
Shattered Realm was great
Was it that good? Ppl kept telling me
About it
I got back while risen was ongoing
I love season of the haunted btw
Astral Alignment and Shattered Realm were great activities
the finale was also great
Well damn i missed out
we also got introduced to Kelgorath that season
Ill watch the playthrough
we killed him three times over the course of it
Oh the huge dude
He was in witch queen right?
no
he's been in Lost, Seraph, and Deep
though Seraph was in Y5 (Witch Queen year)
Who was the big dude we fought in witch queen and the one that kept appearing?
nobody
do you mean Alak Hul the Lightblade?
heâs only killed once in WQ
sure his ghost escapes but that doesnât mean the strike is repeated (zero dialogue or other references to it like Hallowed Lair), just that he can return later
Dog. Friend! Friend dog! Good boy.
(yeah that was on you buddy)
?
The lightblade?
Question. Whoâs this savathun person? I just started witch queen
That's a bit of a tale, my friend. Luckily I've got a cup of tea and I just sat down.
Iâll listen
To start with however, what do you know about the Hive?
I know about sword logic and that they come form bugs
We can go into a vc channel and you can explain it there
Iâm just not gonna talk cuz itâs late
Join casual 2
Orange! My favorite!
Blue! Hi blue!
I said that was all I need to know so I left sorry if I sounded rude
Orange you should do story time with d2 lore and vcâs!
â¤ď¸
Fair enough, but there was more to learn about her Nature according to the Worm Gods, her reforming and reconstruction of the Tribute system, and her death and resurrection.
That is tempting
what kinda story time
Idkđ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸ sometimes I just think
Allright guys, so, do we have any idea what the Third Darkness subclass may be
d'you have a favourite topic?
Pardon?
I let my cat pick her d2 class and now I created a character for her. Sheâs a hunter
Riven and Taranis love story
â¤ď¸
Do. we. know. what. the. 3rd. darkness. subclass. may. BE
... What are you talking about?
The only new thing is Prismatic
We didn't know what the first two would be.
Also, uh, Final Shape has Prismatic.

well that's a surefire way to get a ban or warning
Fucker
Yeah those are arc abilities with the super changed
Arc melee void grenade healing Gg rift I think
so why is it red then
hm
~chants~ Instant ban! Instant ban!
Photoshop? You can change colour
Okay I wasn't exactly being subtle earlier
Stop talking about leaks, real or fake or otherwise
Instant ban! Instant ban! No appeal! No appeal!
