Saint I believe is known to use all three
I know for sure he has used Striker and Sentinel
but he is most well known for Sentinel (mainly Ward of Dawn)
In gameplay heâs only ever used Sentinel right?
and his association with the Sunbreaker order tells me that he likely uses the subclass
Unlike, say, Zavala where we do see him alternate in game
I think we only see Zavala use Ward of Dawn
ingame
but we do see him use Fist of Havoc in a trailer
Season of the Risen
as for Saint, he used Striker in a lover's quarrel with Osiris in the comics
Saint fists
He goes to eviscerate Caiatl with Arc

He used Banner Shield in Season of the Worthy to guard Ana in a Bunker
Imagine if he had been able to go through with that before Saladin intervened
it would just be a blood punch from doom where they turn to mush \
What about shaxx?
right that too
I've only heard him use Striker in lore
but the chances of him using other subclasses isn't unlikely
Atheon vs Jojo's Bizarre Adventure villains
what the hell?
Jobber and I talked Destiny vs Jojo for 80 minutes. Hope y'all enjoy it!

So saint more so uses sentinel but still uses other subclasses and shaxx is a mix of all light subclasses?
I'd say Shaxx prefers Striker
because I don't recall seeing him use any others
but I doubt he wasn't familiar with the other two given his position and experience
hmmm, I am reading about him playing frisbee catch with Saint using a Sentinel shield though
granted the shield itself is sourced by Saint
Yeah I wouldnât say that that counts as Shaxx using Void. Or we could say that Eris was using Solar when she pulled the trigger on Crowâs Golden Gun
Oh
So both use a mix of the subclasses
But shaxx prefers striker and saint prefers void
âA Ward of Dawn? Your people will freeze. A Well of Radiance is what you need. My Light will be the wall.â
âYou think my Hammer of Sol wouldnât burn bright enough to last the storm?â
âOf course it would. And youâd set this castle ablaze. Leave it to me.â```
from Remembrance
so it seems Shaxx definitely uses Sunbreaker
He said he would use his Hammer of Sol to keep his people warm when he talked to Felwinter before their fight
just posted it
and it was after their fight
also this suggests that Shaxx is capable of usinf Void
which I wouldn't doubt
Oh ok
Theyâre similar
in the Vault though, can any of them even realistically stand a chance?
the Aegis is really the only reason we were able to beat it in the first place
I mean sort of
Who was oryx?
one of the three main Hive gods
Sweet let me grab a drink and warm myself by the fire to hear this tale
Yes but what was his role in all of it
Any info will help me get down this rabbit hole.
are you familiar with the site Ishtar Collective?
ah shit i actually have to go
amazing timing
But I will leave you with something before I go (and I can explain in detail in some few hours)
The Books of Sorrow
yes that
okay ciao
No I am not.
Oh sweet. I am gonna read this.
Ishtar Collective is a cammunity site that is an archive of pretty much almost all of Destiny's lore
I am really into the lore of things.
I will sink my teeth in. Thank you for the help
the Books of Sorrow are essentially the Hive's backstory
Thank you also.
Ok yeah then I'll read this before I replay the witch queen.
there is some additional context added later down the line though
like a certain detail shown to us in WQ (which I already figured a long time before)
Well I now know where to go too if I need further explanation. Sometime human interaction is needed to explain more.
Thank you guys for helping me.
Relatively, any player character can be considered 10th dimensional if you consider the â10 Spatial Dimensionsâ videoâs interpretation of dimensions to endlessly loop unto itself, but our proxy within the fictional worlds are limited in how much they can convey our desires
But also that shit donât matter really because once the fictional character starts referencing beyond the 4th wall and seeking to break it they are ultimately doomed to never breach it because duh the barrier of the 4th wall still exists regardless of being addressed
Oh neat new lore person hi
I too consume lore like mini M&Ms, welcome aboard
who are the 9?
Sentient space dust
Next question
That is not a joke btw
Are they above everything else or smth? Why do they have magic space games
Definitely not
The Nineâs fate is tied to our solar system
Which is why theyâve tried different things to either help Sol or become independent
the magic space games arenât the nineâs, actually
Are the nine on our side or are they villains?
they do their own thing
but xur sells us things at their request
so blame them for his shitty inventory
Or his god sends (like ghally in d1)
currently, they rely on us heavily so they have no choice but to help us
The good weapons/armor are frok the nice members
The bad are from the ones that helped thr Red Legion

the đ
Dio
100% ZA WORDOing Atheon
So what exactly has the Witness been doing all this time inside the Traveler while we're trying to send Crow to the other side?
Who knows
I mean its not like we have a dlc or anything coming thats probably going to be explaining exactly that
What is the current year in the game?
Unknown
Well beyond that
The Golden Age lasted centuries and centuries, and then the span from the Collapse to now is probably roughly a millennia, though we donât actually know that
It's been estimated to be between 500 to 2500 years since the Collapse, which was the end of the Golden Age, already centuries long itself.
Whatâs the eye symbol on the timeswept shell ghost (season 9) suppose to be? Is it anything?
can I please get an TLDR what happened since the end of Lightfall campaign until the latest weekly quest progress?
lol thanks love the visuals
Well, we saved civilians who had been taken by the Shadow Legion. Amanda died in the process of this. In Season of the Deep, Titan returned, and so did Sloane. She revealed she had a connection to a proto-worm, Ahsa, who could have information on how to beat the Witness. We finally learn that to follow the Witness through the portal, we need SavathĂ»n. In Season of the Witch, Immaru reveals that SavathĂ»n will only be resurrected if we deal with her sister first. Eris becomes a Hive God to gain tithes. Itâs not looking like itâll be enough at first but then Eris reveals her plan. She has Immaru resurrect SavathĂ»n anyway. Then she kills SavathĂ»n and gains her latent power. She uses this power to banish Xivu from her Throne. We then discover that SavathĂ»n left us an Ahamkara egg, and that a wish is needed to follow the Witness. In Season of the Wish, the Techeuns call upon Rivenâs spirit to grant this wish. Riven refuses unless we return the rest of her clutch safely after someone cast them into the Ley Lines. We also find out the wish is designed so only one person can go through the portal, however we figure that that one person can open the way from inside, allowing others to follow
Crow volunteers for this role as he and Mara have a psychic connection that may make it easier to follow Crow
oh wow that was an eventful year
thanks a lot bud đ
No problem
Who?
I can explain them
Immaru / xivu / techeuns / riven / ley lines đ
xivu i assume is the sister of savathun
Gotcha
Immaru is SavathĂ»nâs Ghost. As SavathĂ»n had been dead since Witch Queen, we had to bargain with him to resurrect her for the knowledge we needed
Xivu Arath is the Hive God of War and sister of Savathûn and Oryx
Techeuns, or tech witches, are Awoken who do magic shit
Riven was the last known Ahamkara. Ahamkara are wish dragons. We killed her back in Forsaken
Ley lines? I donât quite know to explain them tbh
I think itâs something to do with the Ascendant plane?
gotcha
and what happened with mara and riven last week
in the seasonal quest (step 44)
i saw her getting angry as hell and osiris had to stop her
Riven revealed the exact nature of SavathĂ»nâs wish - that only one person could go through the portal. Mara was angry at this, and about being strung along by Riven, so she threatened her
Mara says afterwards that she wasnât actually going to do anything, just make Riven think she would. Osiris didnât know that though, so acted instinctively to preserve Riven as we need her
very childish of her
I think itâs a fair thing to be pissed about
It was a big wrench in our plan that Riven neglected to tell us about for selfish reasons
Well, kinda selfish?
what was her reasons?
I believe that she believed we wouldnât hold up our end of the bargain if we knew what the wish was
She wants her clutch safe so the Ahamkara can live on
It was kinda an elephant in the room everyone in verse was ignoring
Ahamkara wishes always have some sort of twist to them
unrelated but what are the portals in the dreaming city that transfer me to a creepy place
that looks like the dreaming city just all... darkish
Thatâd be the Ascendant Plane
Another plane of existence that tends to mirror parts of reality
that's assuming Atheon let alone any other Vex in the vault are susceptible to time stop
Good point
Which is why power scaling it dumb
So whoâs the one speaking through the ghost in the beyond light campaign I feel like the clear answer would be the witness but Iâm not sure
yeah it's the Witness
if it is related to the Pyramids then it is the Witness
at this point though, we didn't even know about the Witness so we thought it was the Pyramids themselves
Ok just checking
What's "Locus" mean in terms of rank? The boss in presage is the "Locus of Communion," one of the bosses in riven's lair is the "Locus of Subjugation" and the second boss of warlord's ruin is "Locus of Wailing Grief."
is it just the literal definition of locus?
think of it as a walking focal point of something
I'm not sure if it qualifies as a specific rank
but the Locuses appear to be a notable source of influence for the Witness
for instance, the Locus of Communion in Presage was a surviving test subject in Calus' experiments to reach out to the Darkness (which he would later find out to be the Witness)
so perhaps the Locus of Subjugation was used by the Witness to take control over more Scorn
or maybe it is a focal point of the Witness' "subjugation" over the Scorn
like how the Locus of Communion was a focal point for the communion of the Glykon Scorns' minds
neato
1.b is the definition that applies best to them.
Its just a cool word too
Locus, not locust, silly Rice
I have a question, So it would go dark age, iron lords vs warlords, The six coyotes, City age, Six fronts, great hunt, hell mouth, saint's crusade against fallen. and then destiny 1 in chronological order
Not... exactly.
The City Age doesn't have a specific start point, though many choose the end of Six Fronts as its start.
But I can make this easier for you
thank you
This was curated by Dyno, who has put a lot of effort into his sourcing
Can someone tell me what wishes did the ahamkara grant and how they twisted them
which Ahamkara exactly
or are you referring to Ahamkara in general?
In general
when Ahamkara grant wishes, they take advantage of unspecified parts of the wishes to twist them into something that would screw the wisher over
they feed on the difference between what the wisher desires and what they grant
the way an Ahamkara twists a wish depends on the wish itself, but it is always in a way that screws over the one who made the wish
for instance, Riven granted a wish to make the Dreaming City
she made it beautiful, but not safe
as evident by how easily it was ransacked by Oryx's forces
just so they can feed on the difference between what is granted and what is desired
and I assume that twisting it in a way that makes it bad makes a larger difference
I forgot his name but Rivens partner, he didn't twist the wishes of those who bargained with him
Taranis is literally the only one who did that
he is an outlier
he is able to feed a little bit, but hardly as much compared to other Ahamkara as a result
it is kinda funny how the reason why he does that is just because he was born like that
Which is the neat part to me
Boy was born without the preset parameters
Could you make a wish that's so clearly defined that it can't be twisted then
Wish Wall!
As far as can actually be confirmed, Mara is the only one who actually was able to make deals and Wishes to Ahamkara without twists - via the Wish Wall and simply because she's Mara
I doubt she could do it nowadays, however
Outside of the Wish Wall, I mean
Ah I see
How come though?
What's changed
She has! Let me find a relevant quote for you.
For there was in Mara very little division between Reality-As-Is and Reality-As-Desired; she was confident in her centuries of purpose and patient with the winding way by which the river of methods reaches the objective ocean. Blessed are those who in their absolute selfhood become selfless. Unappetizing are those who in their truest self-knowledge exclude the possibility of self-deceit.
Mara is trying to distance herself from this many-locked vault that was her existence, to be open and trust.
She's trying to change, and she's trying to be trusting. She may, therefore, be more... human. And more vulnerable to the threat of the Anthem Anatheme.
Can someone recommend a good story summary for destiny 1
Essentially
Which is... better for her interpersonal relationships, but it definitely changes her character.
Does that achieve anything or just because she wants to

W Dreaming lore explanations
It helps us trust her more. But her experience with Crow has broken that ice around her heart. She got her own brother killed, and... I suppose she sees this as a chance to start again.
But it also means that this separated, unknowable Queen, this entity who rivalled Savathûn in secrets and layered plans, who fashioned a reality and laid out intricate plans for thousands of years, is...
Well, being more open may make her, and by extension the entire system, more vulnerable.
On the other hand, her lack of trust and the lack of divulged information led us to the hunting of Riven of a Thousand Voices.
And that cursed her beloved Dreaming City and her people.
So it may end up for the best after all
So she loses power by doing this too?
Not in a literal sense. Think of her like Savathûn, though. Much of her strength lay in secrecy.
That said, she also does have literal power, but that should be unaffected by her growth.

ive got a sillygoofy question
is there any lore that point towards a class being more powerful than the other
or is it just a specific guardian thing where some are ect
It's pretty much a per-Guardian thing, though the most exciting exploits and shows of strength of Guardians are often Titans and Warlocks.
However
Ana, though. When she fired the Gun, where her Golden blasts hit home, she left behind the pools of light. Like splashes of sunlight that burned and burned."
âLord Shaxx```
As an example
ive always wanted to see dark timeline ana
As a slight pedantic note
There were untold and countless "Dark Timelines"
We merely heard of a couple
Elsie's been around the loop more than a few times
She cannot even remember them all
dont blame her
so how does that work with the Witness
or is he just the outlier in ours
Every time a New Light blueberry wipes a raid
Or Edgy McEdge Blueberry starts talking about abandoning the City and killing the Traveler
a new Dark Future is born, haha
Well there's a Traveler in each so presumably there's a Witness in each too
And Stasis, to reference the actual lore book Dark Future, was provided to us by the Witness
Dark Future could have been great if it was a longer book
It was too compressed, turned into weird fanfic, haha
yea I getchu
anywho i'm gonna go clip my Iron Banner recordings because that was a fun afternoon
I fought CammyCakes and got fucking slapped
very Mercy
oh damn he was stacked
Of course we were also 6 stacking with Cerbarus +1 because it was funny
We changed Exotic guns every match
Coldheart, Cerbarus, Jade Rabbit, whatever the randomiser gave us
Cammy as well
yeah, that was, uh
that was the topic of discussion

I didnât see the messages above
is banshee the most reset exo? 44 times i havent seen anything higher right
He's technically one of the youngest, competing with Ada-1.
He was uploaded near the Collapse, Ada was uploaded mid-Collapse.
Banshee reset so many times during the Vex Exo War before the Collapse itself, however. Each time he was destroyed, he was rebuilt.
There's a whole questline and lore book and exotic on this topic in Beyond Light's post campaign
i thought exos kept their names. so clovis called himself banshee?
No, Clovis-1... Well, Clovis-43, renamed himself. He wanted to erase his association with Clovis Bray, become his own man.
Wiped his memory one last time, on purpose.
Had Elsie do it for him.
Well, they do, but Destiny works on the concept of a mix of Nature vs Nurture. This applies to Guardians, too.
There's an aspect of who Clovis was, or could have been, within Banshee. Just like how Crow is like, yet different, to Uldren.
This core kernel of Clovis awoke, saw who and what he was born from, and told him to screw himself.
Joined Elsie and the Exos trapped in the facility instead.
ahh i see
ok in missing pages of the bray logbook theres the blue text which are meant to be notes he puts into his logbook but around the end he begins talking and arguing with it
what... is it?
i thought it was sundaresh (the vex copy of her infecting bray)
Correct
ah cool ok
I would just to point out that some of the vex are canonically lesbian
I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say you're referring, for some reason, to Maya Sundaresh and Chioma Esi's 227 copies.
Yes
I wouldn't really describe a Vex simulation as Vex itself, per se.
True
echo 2625
I thought vex didn't have consciousness
vex bosses are literally called Minds
oh you said reset, not recent
I can't read apparently
Uh in that case, no, actually
mael how do you make your eggs
As waltz said, there was one poor thing... ECHO- 2Ì·ÍÌ 6ÌžÌÌ2Ì”ÌÌ5ÌžÍÌ
why is that
I like runny eggy
is it because you're australian
Scrambled my beloved
you can't prove i'm australian
i have witness statements

godammit
anyway you admitted it yourself so i win give me $14
an imposter
That mustâve been me whilst I was impersonating you
I definitely did that in other servers too and not just the Cryptarchy
If a thrall or any hive were to kill a guardian and he were to revive via ghost will the hive still get stronger via the sword logic?
Yes. Thatâs how Eris gained tribute from the Crucible
Why didn't we just line every guardian up and have the shadows of yor do like some firing squad shit 24/7 to make her uber strong then
what
Well, for one, thatâs grim
Two, clearly wasnât necessary
Three, itâs probable that it was from actual conflict and not just execution
Then again
I suppose she did get the power from just surprise slashing SavathĂ»nâs throat
she was an enemy of humanity and really had it coming
literally lining up our own numbers just to kill them is honestly one of the worst ideas i've seen in here
especially involving the Shadows in it
like, you honestly don't see a problem with that at all?
So like, this guy
What kind of tithe system did oryx have, and where did the corrupted light come from, and why did ogres have it,
And another note
Anywhere else these vex structures are seen? Clear is black garden and right is vog
which is to say bungie just reused a vex structure from D1 Venus
at the top of the Venus Citadel
aka the second picture
we also fight some Taken there as well during the Taken War
so, im watching through the Cutscenes of past expansions and seasons, and im coming close to the end of Forsaken
and Mara is genuinely starting to piss me off. so before I keep letting my blood boil every time I hear her voice, is the Mara the Guardian talks to that is sitting in her... Throne Room? whatever its called, is that Mara the actual real deal mara, or is she just Riven or Savathun pulling a tricky trick
I think that is the real Mara
if you are referring to the Queen's Court visits then yeah
don't worry, she's changed now
is there a specefic season where she goes through, like, a character arc or something?
you were really able to notice a difference when she came back in Season of the Lost
for starters, she discovers that her dead brother, Uldren, was rezzed as Crow
kind of changes her view towards Guardians drastically
true, but she didn't seem exactly "torn up" when Uldren died the first time
she's usually pretty good at hiding her emotions
and good at restraining herself
there was an unused story concept that showed her more grieving
we got to see what that would have been like in the 4th Grimoire anthology
as for other events, not sure if this changed anything, but there was the time when she and Eris blew up a Pyramid ship between the events of Y2 (specifically after she left the Queen's Court) and Shadowkeep
she actually died a second time and had to be brought back through her Throne World
and I'm not sure if this happened in that timeframe, but at some point between her departure from the Queen's Court and her return in Season of the Lost, I believe she did meet the Witness directly
Yeah, thats pretty much the moment that breaks her ego entirely
Shes pretty clearly freaked out about it in the Witch Queen cutscenes
Had a bit of events beforehand that keeps breaking it to Mara shes not the "big fish" she thought she was.. kept getting outplayed by Savathun
I would send this in off-topic but it doesnât let me so hereâs a sidearm I made
The Great Disaster, where Crota slaughtered the massive army of guardians when we first tried to eliminate him and the reason for the Strike system in the first place, might be a reason why
Also the Shadows were dipshit edgelords that wanted to cosplay as Dredgen Yor and who all chickened out when the leader - Shin Malphur in disguise - staged his hunting of one of their members
You mean the great disaster
Thereâs a lore tab detailing her feelings on the matter somewhere, it more-so illustrates how torn she was at realizing her ânecessary evilâ of acting distant and unknowable - while putting her at close standing with our many enemies of humanity on a tactical level - caused her brotherâs death
That one ye
Still not the right place, move on
Found a way sorry
So is clovis the big robot head?
more like uploading their consciousness or memories something like that
Banshee is in some way that
Like Jarvis to Vision
The big head is Clovis Remastered and banshee is Clovis prime
Whatâs with the Midas touch going on with Calus?
Wdym?
Kinda
The big head is an AI imitation of Clovis. How he thought and how he behaved in life
Nothing related to lore, just fashion choices
Sorry if Iâm asking stupid questions but where is the real clovis?
In the Tower, maintaining our weapons
So he just like, threw a pot of molten gold all over his throne and floor? Lol
Considering heâs got little crit spots for his shoulders (like a tormentor) itâs not too surprising
Also itâs more witness magic then molten gold
Indeed
Yo can someone explain why the ghost cant revive cayde in forsaken?
it got killed
The ghost?
yes
the scorn brought a certain weapon that can kill a ghost
not anything can just kill a ghost
So like someone elses ghost wouldnt be able to heal him?
no
đ
So he put himself into a robot?
he put himself in a exo, close, but not exactly the same
did a brainscan of himself and chucked it into a exo, which are how exos are made
the process kills you, but he was dying anyway
A Dreg with an Arc knife can kill a Ghost lmao
Ghosts are paired to their own Guardian specifically
Thats crazy damn those guys r weak asf
Theyâre durable to an extent but really their survivability comes from their size, how nimble and quick they are and the fact they can decompile or whatever it is they do
To kill a Ghost you have to catch a Ghost, or be able to hit the Ghost midair
Or orbital bombardment like Petra did
The weapon wasnât special btw. The bullet was. It was a Devourer round from the original Thorn. And it wasnât for Sundance. It was for Cayde. If heâd been shot with it, it would have drained the Light from him and left Sundance unable to ever rez him, even if she survived
But when Cayde pulled Sundance out, the Rifleman swapped targets. Not out of strategy but of cruelty
To make Cayde lose his friend before he died
And so they could kill him more personally
Is there any difference between the thorn our character could have and the one cayde was shot with?
Other than it being a replica ofc
the one cayde was shot with used a "devourer round", the kind the original thorn used, which would be able to completely kill a guardian even if it just killed the guardian
our thorn cant do that
So then what kinda rounds does our guardian use for thorn? I thought it was just a copy-paste of the original thorn and our guardian is just immune to it "just because"
so essentially he is banshee
also are the exo stranger and ana his kids or grandkids?
grandkids
Were their parents also exos?
banshee is clovis, but what makes a person is both genetics and your life experiences
no
or
the parents of ana and elsie?
i doubt that
We donât hear about their parents or anything in the lore?
so banshee and clovis are very different people
his first words after all was "piss off old man" towards the clovis AI
so banshee was like another race before he was an exo
exos are just minds put into them
mostly human.
so robots with human minds
yes
donât they forget their past too?
they've got some vex in them too so a little biological in there too
to counter "DER"
Ah I see
Clovis II was turned into an Exo
An early version of an Exo anyway
I believe he tore himself apart before Ana and Elsieâs eyes
Not either of their mothers
But their father did become one
This is a ss from d1 that has clovis bray dates
Just wanted to see if that sheds any light on the games current year
And yes Clovis II had an affair which is why Ana exists
Is that an updated board or did it stop when the great disaster happened
Stopped when it happened presumably
So given the dark age was a few hundred years and the city age was also around 500
Year 4000 seems around right
It does not. All this proves is that the Golden Age lasted at least one thousand years, though that is valuable knowledge.
We don't know how much longer the Golden Age lasted, nor exactly how long it has been since the Collapse, though educated estimates range from 500 to 2500 years.
We can make estimations to narrow it down but little of it is is based on solid foundations.
Do we know what year it is currently in destiny 2?
No. That's what I was saying.
Oh ok I see now
Is that the queens court?
Well, I know that, but I meant I donât specifically know what/where that is
I do recall it being a misconception that that was part of Maraâs Throne World or something?
@trim grotto help me out here please
Why do my director show in the middle the tower with a triangle in it. Isnât it meant to have triangles around it?
Or Iâm I stupid or wat XD
what
Did you finish lf
The triangles around the traveler went into the portal
banned
.ban @shadow warren

I genuinely have no idea who changed my username to this
Clearly someone on the mod team recognises my authority
Que
Where is the Queenâs Court. Is it just hidden somewhere in the Reef?
Oh, her little throne on the cliff?
As far as I'm aware, it's just literally on the side of the Dreaming City. It's built atop an asteroid, after all.
Why is the Throne of the Queen of Secrets a secret? To be a secret.
I'm under the impression that the Court is elsewhere
not in Dreamtown
like maybe it is part of her Throne World
Well the best way to find out is to check the old visits to the Queen
or maybe elsewhere
Now that in particular I very strongly doubt, I'm afraid
Look my fact checking will be lackluster due to being on mobile but I'll gather some bits and bobs
area in the background tells me it must be in some other dimension or something of the sort
maybe some Ley Line stuff
Alrighty
It's listed as Unknown Space, but Mara describes it as overlooking an endless cosmic expanse. Honestly, given the same terrain and stone as the Dreaming City, and given that the City itself is essentially in space - and that we reach the underside of it in The Corrupted, which is also open to space - I believe it's simply an isolated location on a Dreaming City cliff, below its surface, looking out into space.
Iâd suggest searching Clovis or Ana Bray on Ishtar Collective, thereâs a number of entries on Clovisâ exploits as well as on Exo technology; I can give a rundown on the Exo process as well, thereâs entries on it but it might be best for someone to explain

That place exist before my time, but its pretty cool, feels like in actualy space
@jagged badge @dim minnow
the skybox for Queen's Court is unique though
I remember thinking that she was actually lodging with the nine because of her dealings with the emissary and the fact their realms are also in âunknown spaceâ
hmmm
well the deal she made with the Nine was for tracking/looking out for incoming Pyramid ships
maybe the Court was related to that
maybe we will get some more lore on it perhaps tomorrow when we go after the last egg
Yes, it is. Nevertheless, that's my belief.
That being said
The Oracle Engine is also reportedly a way for Mara to walk other realms
According to Mara's comment to Petra
I make your belief true. Aiat
Yâall remember the trophies shaxx had in d1? Holdon
Ok I canât find it but there were 3 horned ahamkaras by him
Why canât it be an area from âthe directoryâ ?
Because thatâs simply not how that area works
Valid
The queens court is a cool location though wherever it is
How do you think theyâll keep us waiting for 6 months with story
After we should supposedly look for the final egg today
Well, we know that we have these missions called âWishesâ upcoming, whatever that entails
Smth along the lines of helping Osiris research the connection between crow and Mara whilst he is in the traveller and performing tasks to establish the gateway for us guardians?
Ah okay
Also the free Into The Light thing, whatever that is as well
Although I doubt thisâll be massive story stuff
Sounds like a way to encourage more new players to pick up the game in time for TFS to me
Probably yeah
Idk if itâs a coincidence or not but one my favorite Disney characters from one of my favorite Disney movies has arm blades just like the strand titan super
ip grabber
What?
Itâs just a xl image file
Probably donât work tho
itâs just a community joke but Iâve genuinely never seen an image in that format
Yeah me neither
Ogre stuff, why does bungie use ogres for filler so much
wdym filler
Because ogres are fun
Taken ogre, hive ogre, big hive ogre
Siva ogre
Because big stompy unit
cool final cutscene , it feels quite anticlimactic given the long gap before final shape release though
'he is on his way ', ok now just wait til june
gonna take the man 6 months to do his thing
We have stuff in between that may explain the wait
But yeah itâs a tad unfortunate
I havenât played in weeks
Curse of osiris is after or before lightfall?
is the revolutionary war after or before the moon landing
why is Segira dead in lightfall?
I mean, you bring her back to life
you donât
she didnât die in CoO
did you miss the whole part where Osiris went to the moon, Sagira sacrificed herself, and Savathun possessed Osiris for like a year,?
She died in the Season of the Hunt
Or just before technically
The Distributary? Exiting the Distributary was a one way trip that nearly tore their ships apart. Nobody has ever re-entered it; and even if they did, time flows differently within it than without.
Sorry, i am extremely new in destiny. I very likely missed because i play from time to time and there isnt like a campaign that tells you where the story started and where it ended. Just scattered planets and when you go to one, there's a campaign, soo it's confusing for me to actually be on pair with all history
All good
The best place to start is by asking questions.
Here is a timeline of the lore of both games on a great site that has probably the most complete collection of lore entries outside of the games
https://www.ishtar-collective.net/timeline
The Queenâs Court
So there was indeed no new story today?
Oh there was nevermind
Yeah I thought so lol
Iâm confused
Are you saying that area is in the Distributary? I thought no one could return there
I'm explicitly stating it isn't
there is a timeline tab ingame giving you the summary of every dlc and season
Right. But we do go to the Queenâs Court. In Forsaken and last week
season of the Hunt and Lost are both in there explaining sagiraâs death and osirisâ possession
So whatâs that have to do with the Distributary?
Am I missing something here
I think youâre having a jongo moment
Mael, you responded to someone asking why the Queenâs Court isnât a place we can go to on the director
And then explained about the Distributary being inaccessible
Because I assumed that's what they actually meant, given the quote
Referring to the Destinations page didn't make sense in this context
Oh
the directory isnât a good indication of location to begin with
I thought it did rip, I thought they were asking why it wasnât a landing zone
Truly you are the silliest of billies
đ
This is a pretty fair mixup considering what they said imo
Iâm defending myself here, I think this was a valid silly billy moment
đ€
I do declare
Silly
Billy
probably not
what makes you say that
huh, the boss in this story mission has the same name as a random scorn boss from the forsaken campaign
because it is him?
I mean, if the scorn can change from the chieftain archetype to the mad bomber body since they both look pretty different
they are very "modular"
probably not any piece of lore pertaining to them which is unfortunate I like when things like this happen
especially since, well, forsaken campaign is gone and that connection is lost to anyone who doesn't look it up like a weirdo (me)
Elikaa isnât from the Forsaken campaign
Theyâre from the Dreaming City campaign. The opening mission of which is still in the game
Well
âCampaignâ
As in petra's quests? thought there was a different boss there
No
Not Petraâs quests
Just the introductory mission to the Dreaming City
Where you first spawn in, and see the Taken Techeuns for the first time
oh lmao
this one?
Think so
Can someone explain what even happened in the final cutscene?
We made the wish, Riven opened a way through the portal and Crow jumped in
Well, I think itâs more that the wish allows Crow to navigate the portal, which is why itâll take him a while to get there
Where does the portal lead crow to?
Inside the Traveler
The portal is what the Witness opened in Lightfall. When the Vanguard made attempts to follow, it resulted in the gruesome death of the one who tried to enter
So weâve spent like most the year trying to find a way through
The thing in the end of the lightfall cutscene?
Yep
Is that the 15th wish?
Ohh i see
SavathĂ»n manufactured the wish and left clues to it for us. Which is how we were tipped off to call on Rivenâs spirit this season
we are getting a new destination in tfs right?
Could whatever is in the portal be the raid or destination?
Alright
The Vanguard has rallied, and legends from every corner of the galaxy step forward, lending their bravery to the oncoming conflict. Together, we must travel ...
The actual showcase starts at like 56:46
Just finished the weekly quest, now no more Destiny story for 6 months offf
Not quite
We have these things called âWishesâ coming up, as well as the âInto the Lightâ thing
âComing upâ into the light is still 4 months away :(
So, I was going back and reading some old Osiris lore
The core of the Sundail has to be an Ahamkara or its bones.
The argument has always been between Ahamkara bones or a Darkness artifact.
The strongest connection is to Darkness artifact, which would explain why Drifter - he who experiments with Darkness based technology - was brought in to check it.
However, we never learned explicitly what it was or what happened to it.
It whispered though and Germaine says "Not something that I would bargain with"
Ahamkara whisper and make bargins
That is true.
There's no way to be sure at this time, unfortunately.

Although an Ahamkara bargain would explain why, ironically, Osiris wasn't able to find the right Saint, despite it all.
That is what I am saying
Ima bonk you Eris
Whatâs the âWishesâ thing?
Dunno, just know theyâre some sorta missions that are coming soon
Oh ok
Joe Blackburn mentioned them a bit ago
you know, I was expecting something funny to happen
but everything just worked out like it was meant to
Bungie didnt intend for these in their initial story plans (before they split the dlc), so its safe to call these seasons a bit of filler
yeah 100% filler year front to back
I mean, Season of the Witch and Wish both had pretty good and important stories
Even if theyâre filler, theyâre really pretty good filler. Plus people like the innovation on the gameplay of the activities myself
Even Deep to an extent. The story less so but Deep Dives were kinda well received iirc
dont get me wrong Coil is a top destiny activity for me
but the gravity of the situation was just not present this year
also giving the witness soooo much time in the traveler
cant help but come off as goofy
Easy way to "fix" it is if we saw actual effects on the traveler as time progressed
And itâs a pretty easy handwave explanation to just say, âyeah what the Witness is doing is an extremely complicated and powerful thing that has to take timeâ
Make that ticking clock visible
While it feels weird, it at least can easily make sense
And now, Crow gets to enjoy 6 months being beaten up by Cayde heh
I donât believe Crow will get there immediately
The cutscene seemed to suggest the journey through for him could take time
Mara said that heâs âon his wayâ
Hey, maybe thatâs another reason the Witness has took this long
Nah, dialogue from Ghost (Neomuna patrols after campaign) and Immaru heavily implied Witness was already active right after it crossed through
Oh right
It knows what its doing and took all the pyramid ships with it
Even with Osrisis figuring out the method, theres no way to replicate it on our end
Put it simply? The Witness knows more about paracausality in all forms then we do
Watch this turns Crow into a location vendor

He ends up stuck there
Even if we can go back and forth, he is stuck. Because of the wish itself
Wait, how does Crowâs absence in game work in terms of past seasonal quests that have required you to talk to him this year?
Like, if for whatever reason you played Wish first and then Defiance?
Unless Defiance didnât have a talk to Crow step. I canât remember
Suddenly
D1
What are these, they donât seem like hive (d1 moon)
Instances
Hive larvae or cocoons
not referring to worms I think
I see
D2 seems to have replaced them with the funny orange egg sacs
in terms of active worldbuilding at least
venus went hard fr
Hmm, I heard of that but I was thinking of it more as an afterthought filler thing after the delay of the final shape. Maybe it'll be solid.
Wait is eris rock an ahamkara shard or a hive rock
Ahamkara bone shard
Ah
probably got absorbed into Dusk when the houses united
Damn
or it was taken by the Wolves for a while until the House got dismantled
since Reksis Vahn took out their remaining servitors
Hmmmmm
question about riven, what is her limitation of granting wish ?
Canât be her own wish (saw what happened to her mate) and probably (like rhulks arrogance) âhasâ to monkey paw the wish somehow
Also
Sheâs dead
For good (idk why she said sheâll see mara again)
that being said, she can manipulate guardian to make her wish to wipe out guardian right and granted those guardian any wish he/she wants ?
I donât think bungie is letting manipulating go that far (for the sake of the game)
Wait I read that weird
Hmmm
mine or urs ?
Yours, thought you meant sheâd trick another guardian into wishing us (the player) out of existence
yea, thats correct. coz guardian was hunting the dragons right
Our guardian?
No I donât think so
whoever hunting the dragon back in the day
I think they would have learned (from before the hunt) to not be swayed by the dragons
So probably not,
Bungie themselves would slap your right cheek if that ever came true
just think about it, if thats actually true or or, she can make her own wish to wipe out any being except her child to live
and somehow the nature of galaxy reborn from the scartch and learn about it
they took a revenge
thats actually real plot twist i think
Hmmm
getting a little concerned for the future of Riven's clutch now
since it seems like Caiatl and Saladin don't have faith in Taranis' will
and now I'm actually hoping that Riven's clutch will take after Taranis and not be rat bastards unlike most of their kind before them
They primarily used shaxx to hunt ahamkaras
Since he didn't enjoy it nor did he have any wishes the dragons could feed of off
Can someone explain me the working of the Veil pls ? Cause i have a theory on this but not sure if it doesn't work as i think it does
what
He short
the guy in the 2nd picture is literally not crota
did you read his name
he's just a knight who was obsessed with crota and even tried impersonating him in front of oryx, which oryx just found hilarious
crota is a lot bigger
[Message Link](#đdestiny-media message) to #đdestiny-media
(Itâs the same)
This time, weâll be around to guide them. Also, they wonât grow up surrounded by Ahamkara they watch who manipulate and shit
Aw that format is weird
Wait was toland the one to discover sword logic?
Sword Logic was founded by the original Hive gods
No like
How did we first learn about it (from who or what)
Wait fundament was just a fragment of the hives original world?
(Iâm actually using ishtar collective for the first time)
Eris
I see
True
Oh yea
When taken king came out, how recent was maras attack?
Was it just before release?
(Because the awoken remains are still floating there)
You literally see it in Taken Kings opening cutscene lol
Ik Ik
Also
Did these techeuns survive?
Had a friend claim they died and mara had âbackupsâ to stand in for them
"Taken"
True
sheâs got a lot of techeuns
Aren't those kalli shiro and the rd one from the strike
no they were just in the DC and got taken
again, thereâs a lot of techuens
the ones in the ship just died
Pretty sure the ones in the ship are Kalli, Shuro Chi and Sedia
Iirc, they self-gated out of there, but one of them left the gate open just a fraction too long
And thatâs how Oryxâs influence reached the Dreaming City
I read that a while ago though tbf so
I could be wrong
Lemme see if I can corroborate this or debunk it for myself
Still no sign of primary objectives. Continued survey of the remaining 100,000 km3 of space is underway. But as an Armada Paladin of the Awoken, it is my duty to officially recommend declaration of death of the following: Paladin Yasmin Eld, Paladin Leona Bryl, Paladin Abra Zire, Paladin Pavel Nolg, Techeun Shuro, Techeun Sedia, Techeun Kali, and the Awoken Queen Mara Sov.
This at least suggests they were the ones on the ship
Itâs a burden
Itâs a sniper rifle manufactured by the Black Armory
so what's the burden

But yea itâs probably
Oh looks like itâs regret
And something about a pair being targeted for robbery or mugging? And thereâs a bomb in the purse?
I wonder
Besides ecthar and crota fanatic, what other lesser known enemies are on the dreadnaught
So heard new dialogue post season quest
At the terminal?
Maras experimenting on using the Taken
Is it the 8/8 or 7/8
Nope. The Lair-Coil
Neat
Yeah..
She's seems like she planning to hijack them and use to her own ends
Only issue? Its Mara.. she's already backsliding to "queen bitch of the universe" if she thinks that is a good idea lol
do you know who Izanagi is
I didnât actually know until I searched earlier that Sedia, Kalli and Shuro Chi were named characters before Forsaken came out
Mustâve been cool for lore peeps to see those names at the time
So it nezarec supposed to be the same species as the psions?
He isnât
Donât they worship him?
Itâs kinda up for debate whether heâs related to the Psions at all. Some people theorise he influenced them
Iirc
Small little thing
I wish the scorn of the witness had a different symbol
As from what recall fikrals scorn is slowly gaining culture among the group, while the witnesses scorn are merely empty vessels with thoughts or will
Apparently they did, once. Long ago.
Actually we kind of do
It's a two-parter
As far as we're aware, Traveler Cayde is a recreation by the Traveler as a sort of guide to us. As for why it's Cayde...
https://www.ishtar-collective.net/entries/unforeseen-consequences
They do have a different colour scheme.
So there's that
here you go
So itâs essentially not the actual cayde?
Motivates
No its not
And a very safe bet is that there is gonna be a moment in the story where we learn Cayde wonât be able to cross over into the real world because of the traveler connection
I mean
For all we know it could be his genuine consciousness
Makes sense tbf, theyâre psykers, obv they worship a god of pain
Likely a recreation using the creation power of the Traveler pulled from the collective memories stored in the Veil (or maybe even from Cayde's own memories stored there)
But yeah chances are end of the campaign he's either gonna "die" or pass on, or he'll be stuck in the Pale Heart in perpetuity as a vendor
Either way chances he gets to keep being an active character in the game are pretty slim, I think best case scenario we see him periodically in seasonal stories like Clovis
I'll bet my buttons he's the Vendor
Alternative Dialogue from the seasonal activity Riven's Lair during Season of the Wish. (Week Seven)
**
Mara Sov: I walked the Confluence before your fireteam arrived. I found A lone Taken, and ordered it to stop.
Osiris: You are testing dangerous waters⊠but that is familiar territory for you.
Mara Sov: Imagine⊠to wield the Taken. To neve...
can you believe it guys?
Destiny 2: The Taken Queen, just a year away
Its as Saladin says in the last lore entry
History repeats, and we cant trust ourselves in the face of temptation
Maybe should change from not liking Petra to not liking Mara?
I do really want to have faith that Taranis' will extends to Riven's clutch
so that maybe those guys won't be rat bastards unlike almost all Ahamkara before them
Thats the funny thing, did you read the lore entry yourself yet?
Saladin isnt blaming the Ahamkara.. but rather people tempted by them
And now Maras experimenting with controling the Taken.. and all so conviently hoarding the clutch to herself...
Alternative Dialogue from the seasonal activity Riven's Lair during Season of the Wish. (Week Seven)
**
Petra Venj: So, Riven's really gone?
Mara Sov: Yes. Her power may linger, but not her spirit. I will safeguard her children. Whatever comes of that, I will answer for.

Riven's Lair â Season of the Wish Playlist:
https://www.youtube.co...
If you think about it the hive is just a Pyramid Scheme
ain't that the point
correct
all planned by the one who made the Pyramid ships after all
Wich worm would be at the top of it
Yul probably, but the Witness would still stand above him
When did mara and crow get so close?
After Crow began accepting who he was back in Haunted, he also started opening himself up to Mara's desire to fix their broken relationship, which was visible in Defiance.
Calus was revealed (and kinda made) at the start of destiny 2 right?
Did we know what the psion situation was in d1?
The same as before d2 before caitial released them
We knew this back then?
cabal emperor was referenced as early as taken king
why is the crow covered with scales
itâs something called armor
oh its his armor not from his body
yes?
has it ever been explained why osiris has a giant bird head growing out of his body

Yeah thatâs clearly clothing/armour
also before you say it i just donât care itâs spelled holliday
He points it out during chosen
You think crow has anything special about his armor? Any exotics or maybe the lore on why itâs scales
Probably not. Itâs just an outfit made by Eva
Oof
Although
That means we could get it (if he dies)
(By ruling of vanguard dare armor)
Also, why did wish armor have teapots and like, camping stuff
True
funny considering the witch queen armor is also alchemy themed
yeah im like 99% sure itâs intentional
considering both are about Savathun and include Witch in the name
Season of the Wish. Not Witch

I feel like no one ever truly dies in Destiny but then again I'm no lore expert.
The Iron Lords? The Speaker? Rasputin? Amanda? Asher?
The only characters who have really come back from death have been Crow and SavathĂ»n, but thatâs not undoing Uldrenâs and SavathĂ»nâs deaths. Itâs specifically in service of the narrative because thatâs how Lightbearers work
So thatâs really not a valid criticism
That wasn't a criticism, just an impression that I had. When I said "never truly dies", I didn't just mean resurrection and surviving after being assumed dead. They can also come back in other forms like Riven.
Thatâs just always been a thing for the Ahamkara
Their spirit transcends death and lingers in their bones, which is why those Ahamkara exotics do funky things
and if youâre going to reference Crow that was specifically just for the character arc of the Sov twins
very few Lightbearers even get the context of their previous life
Of course, it's just that a character that we think we may not see again, they may come back in some form. Eramis, Mara, Uldren, Sloane etc.
when theyâre resurrected theyâre a blank slate, itâs not just the same person coming back
Can somebody explain the winerbite lore
Spooky thing stabs Exodus ship, ship lands on Neptune while shouting "we're totally Vex, don't hurt us"
What's the back story of sanctified mind?
Like how did it get all fucked up
Because it had to be normal at one point right?
Is the crimson basically illegal in the eyes of the vanguard
itâs a sol divisive mind
they were basically never normal
constant darkness worship means vex chassis get warped
I believe it technically doesn't exist to them
in whatever legal capacity the vanguard maintains, it doesnât
Legally the crimson doesn't exist
not because itâs evil or anything itâs just literally stained by the blood of permadead murdered guardians
itâs debatable
They made it in case the light is taken
probably had multiple owners
They can live on in a sense past death
However Rivenâs spirit is gone now
Huh?
Have you played this weekâs story?
Have not touched the game in months
And idc tbh
For me the game bland rn
You know
Depending on your definition. They don't appear to die of old age, but they can be slain. However, their spirit lingers in their bones.
(Hi sorry catching up because Iâm abroad with no consistent wifi)
Thereâs a theory that, similarly to how the Distributary has time past much quicker than in the regular universe, time is passing much slower where the Witness is compared to here; this with some earlier theories of the place behind the portal being the original Garden from Unveiling and other sources, the one the Gardener originated from, seems to be our best bet as to why itâs taking the Witness so long.
Why this hasnât been explained, maybe the Wishes missions or Into the Light will answer
