Strictly speaking, because they work on a pyramid scheme (no pun intended), the Tribute line would simply empower the next down the scale, if they took power.
But there is a possibility of freedom. A new generation could be claimed and we stop the Worm Parasite infusion, or hope that the Lucent Brood realise they no longer need Tribute thanks to the Light flooding their Tribute system - or the actual Lightbearers having straight up deceased Worms.

Even with the FWC theory, 1) were supposedly on a fringe timeline that hasn’t been experienced before where we’re relatively successful in combatting the Witness’ schemes, though who’s to say there aren’t tangential timelines to ours save for Elsie’s experience through her timeloop, which itself could coincide with multiple timelines running tangential to each other with nigh complete similarity; 2) perhaps in all the closest timelines we had so greatly secured Savathun’s body and preserved it that there is no possibility of her being able to be remotely rezzed by Immaru

so basically, Shaxx killed Hefnd, then he would tell Naeem about it and Naeem would decide to make a dela with Hefnd. Basically, Hefnd would grant wishes to surrounding villagers for Naeem so she could colect tribute and in exchange Naeem would bear the burdens of their wishes
then House of Kings would roll in and kill Naeem. Her dying wish would be vengeance against them which Hefnd was more than glad to do since he actually liked her. So then he brought Taken into the castle which led to the Kings becoming Scorn

Depends on which you mean. You could be referring to the Praxic Order of Warlocks (and Siegfried), and yes they do, but Praxics are zealots. They seek not to understand Darkness, but eradicate it. Shin has learned to walk the grey line, much as we do now.

According to the Lore Book Unveiling, the Light is associated with the "growth and preservation of complexity". In contrast, the Darkness is portrayed as being associated with simplification and the reduction of diversity.
The idea of Darkness being associated with "Simplicity" makes very little sense to me though. The light seems to give us much simpler powers related to the physical world like Electricity, Fire and Gravity, but the darkness gives us much more complex abilities like Strand and Deepsight. It's all kinda confusing lol
