so in Season of the Lost, which was right after Splicer, Savathun revealed that she posessed Osiris' body at the start of Season of the Hunt

because of this, she made a deal with Mara in which she would exorcise her worm from her and in exchange, we would get Osiris back

in the end, we would succeed, however, when Osiris was returned to us, he was left in a coma

it wasn't until the end of Seaon of Plunder that we would wake him up

the main story for Plunder was that we needed to retrieve these relic before Eramis (who the Witness freed) could get them. We would also find out that these relics are actually parts of Nezarec's corpse. Anyways, Mithrax would be guided by whispers from the relics which would allow him to distill the primordial Darkness from within them into a tea which Saint-14 gave to Osiris and that was how he woke up from his coma

then in Season of the Seraph, Osiris would try and see if Rasputin could help him find some sort of secret Savathun locked away on Neptune (which we now know was the Veil)

it was why Osiris was rushing us when the Witness found Neomuna and sent Calus there

basically how Osiris' story went from Hunt to Lightfall

as for the references to Sagira, the Lightfall story has a huge focus on overcoming loss, especially in the post-campaign stuff. Osiris was able to get over the loss of Sagira while helping ||Nimbus get over the loss of Rohan.||

for Saint-14, I'm not sure if you know this, but it has been established that him and Osiris are in a relationship

hence why Saint is referenced a lot with Osiris

we did pretty much save him from his demise in Season of Dawn

which is why he is here now as of that season

finally, the stuff about Osiris "going down a dark path"

during the Veil Containment logs, we see Maya Sundaresh regress into obsession and basically lose her sense of morality
