I'm on step 14 of 19 in shadowkeep, the part where I need to make the dreambane armor pieces
I defeated the three bosses and should be able to proceed, I have the boots, helmet, and bond.
But my mission quest says to make the three pieces of dreambane armor.
My abandoned quests on the tower kiosk is empty. There's nothing at the postmaster.
The three pieces I already have is listed under eris morn as "abandoned quests"???

Why is X not dropping?
It's RNG. No, the game is not bugged for you, or broken, it's simply bad luck.

• Bungie does not publish drop rates.
• We don't know how many estimated runs it will take for a specific item to drop.
• We do not know how much drop-rate-boosting triumphs contribute either, since we don't know the base drop rate.
• Runs are all separate environments. A 1/3 chance does not mean you get the loot you want one out of three times, it just means there is that percentage of chance whenever you run the activity that you get said loot.
• Perks are not weighted. All weapons drop with their perks at the same rate.

The new gear is way better than the old gear depending on your stat distribution. All your available stats are focused down to 3 instead of spread between 6.

There's some circular/confusing things happening here. What Echo is talking about is that the 10 upgrade exotics aren't better than the 5 upgrade ones because of the stat changes. While it would be nice to have more slots, it really doesn't affect things that much. Mythic was talking about how to get more of the 5 slot exotics in general. All exotic armors that drop now are 5 slot, except for odd instances. You can get some 10 slot exotic armors by doing the legendary campaign for expansions before Edge of Fate, but certainly not all of them. And, still, the stats on them are likely to be worse than the new armor anyway.

There could be a way of getting more but I'm not sure given the jankiness of Bungie code. I just completed the legendary campaign for The Final Shape the other day on my Titan and chose the Hazardous Propulsion armor. It dropped as an "old" piece, with the Artifice slot still there. But I had already completed the campaign on Titan prior to Edge of Fate and had just never chosen the reward. I don't know if that means that it's still possible to earn Artifice armor for the Legendary campaign rewards or I just bullshitted my way into getting one when I shouldn't have.
