Good Afternoon, Good Morning

Firstly, I'd like to apologize to everyone for the mess of the last couple hours.
The server is now back under control and we will begin to rebuild.

As many of you will have seen and likely heard about, We again had an Admin's account compromised and used to Raid/Nuke/Attack the server.
We are now back in control and will slowly begin to bring back channels and features as we recover them.

We have recovered the server from a backup now and will begin with configuring everything back how it was.
This may take some time as we use quite a few bots some are fairly complicated to setup.

Rest assured we will get the server back to working order as soon as possible.
I appreciate everyone's patience while we rebuild.

First and foremost EVERYONE will need to choose platform roles again to see the server. The roles were deleted this time, so everyone needs to re-assign roles in #👉getting-started.

Now for the details:
We took many steps to protect the server after the last attack, and while we thought we covered everything, clearly there was still a breach of security somewhere in the Administrator's account. Hackers were able to recover his account via Discord Support and use it again, as many of you witnessed.

We realize now this was a mistake, and have taken additional steps to ensure that will not happen again. The account in question will no longer be a member of our staff team, at any point now or in the future.

We apologize for any inconvenience this caused any of you, particularly at the late hour again.

Thanks for understanding and sticking with us through the turmoil.

With Google’s recent announcement that Stadia will be shutting down soon, we’ve been working diligently to figure out a solution for our players on that platform. While we don’t yet have a long-term plan, we do have a short one.

At this time, all players who have their main characters on Stadia should set up Cross Save with another platform so that they don’t lose access to their characters on January 18. Stadia players who enable Cross Save will be able to use their characters on linked platforms after Stadia shuts down.

If Stadia players don’t set up Cross Save by January 18, they will lose access to their characters, items, emblems, Bungie.net account, and Eververse purchases, such as access to Season Passes.

After January 18, players with Stadia as their active characters SHOULD NOT deactivate Cross Save for ANY REASON. Doing so will result in a complete loss of characters.

The old-fashioned way. Put items in the vault, switch characters, retrieve items from the vault.

#looking-for-group contains links to multiple resources, both on this server and off that allow for LFG without Bungie's API.

<@&1019968374073196614> Servers are up and seem to be stable. Once in there have only been a few reports of disconnecting, and very few error codes.

Patience is key right now. You can try restarting, or just sit and wait, both options have gotten people into the game, but at the same time both have also had people sit and wait. Bungie is clearly trickling in players slowly to keep servers stable.

Day 1's are always a little chaotic, so keep an eye on #bungie-tweets as they make announcements about bugs, hotfixes, and general information as the day goes on.

In Season 21, you will be able to focus your Exotic Engrams at Rahool. All Exotic Engrams (aside the ones that drop from activities like Lost Sectors, Vex Strike Force and Nightfalls) will no longer auto-decrypt.

You'll be able to decrypt Exotic Engrams in 2 tiers: Advanced Decryption and Precision Decryption.

The cost of Advanced Decryption is exotic 1, AscendantShard 1, and glimmer 30,000.

The cost of Precision Decryption is exotic 1, AscendantShard 3, glimmer 60,000, and Cipher 1.

Note: The Exotic Cipher stack limit is planned to be raised from 1 to 5.

It's available on Youtube and Twitch. There's going to be a Twitch Drop enabled for the The Silhouette emblem.

For those who haven't watched a showcase live before, the pre-show is usually 45-ish minutes of trivia/timeline recap/community art stuff followed by a 15-ish minute panel mostly just talking about what they're excited to see. Fairly skippable.

The post-show is going to be Joe Blackburn and others doing a bit more of a deep dive on some of the stuff being shown and other upcoming changes. That's likely going to be our first place to see some of the stuff he mentioned in his video as not being in the Showcase (HUD rework, Xur changes, etc.). Less critical than the actual show but probably worth watching.

For those who don't know or have forgotten: to access the DLC, this will require you to install and play the Epic Games Store version of Destiny 2. Yes, even with Cross Save, as DLC ownership does not sync. Weapons and armor you earn on EGS can sync to other platforms via Cross Save, but the campaigns/raids/nightfalls/stasis/etc. can only be played on the platform you own the DLC on, and EGS is a separate platform than Steam/Microsoft Store on PC.

Epic Games Store seems to be the odd one out, but that's probably because they just spent the last week giving out the Legacy Collection.

Since Riven's Wishes were introduced, we've been investigating an issue where non-Forsaken Pack owners cannot craft any weapon from Mara's inventory if they unlocked a Pattern.

This issue is scheduled to be fixed in two weeks with Update 7.3.5.

There seems to be a issue with people logging in to their accounts and seemingly finding them wiped or as if they are new players, There has been no word from bungie yet but there was a similar issue like this before and bungie ended up rolling back the servers, this is likely what will happen again.

Your account and guardians are not lost in the meantime I wouldn't make any new characters if your account does appear wiped incase that could cause any issues with bungie trying to fix this.

I will try and keep everyone updated if any official word comes from bungie.

<@&1019968374073196614> For all of you running onslaught you should know that wave 50 is currently bugged and the boss door room is apparently not opening for people, Please keep this is mind as you run onslaught that your time might be wasted while trying to get to level 50.

Until a fix is deployed I would run legend onslaught do the first ten waves for the chests then reset and do the first ten waves again keep a eye on #bungie-tweets for updates.

With us Entering the final week of the year of Lightfall into the release of the final shape I just wanted to put out a small list of things that everyone should remember to do before the launch of the final shape. <@&1019968374073196614>

Finish anything related to the four seasons from this year as all the seasonal content will be removed after final shape launches this includes finishing any red border patterns exotic quests the season pass etc.

Finish all your synthweave bounties so you can have ten more after final shape launches.

Some Into the light content such as the hall of champions and pantheon will be leaving If you want to finish farming your brave edition weapons or getting your godslayer/brave seal and getting the superblack shader this week is the LAST chance to do.

Bungie is adding 100 extra vault slots in the final shape and extra loadout slots so for those of you doing some vault cleaning keep that in mind.

Spend your legendary shards as they are being removed from the game as a currency when final shape launches.

And finally remember that final shape will have a 25 hour downtime and will go down 25 hours before the normal tuesday reset so the game will be going down on Monday starting at 9 AM PST on June 3.

Regarding further reports of perk weighting:

While we have confirmed that there is no intentional perk weighting on weapons within our content setup, we are now investigating a potential issue within our code for how RNG perks are generated.

Many thanks to all players who have been contributing to data collection across the community. This data has been monumentally helpful with our investigation, and we are currently working on internal simulations to confirm your findings.

We will provide more information as soon as it is available.

More news on the perk pool stuff. TL;DR is there's a confirmed issue with the RNG behavior driving perk selection on weapon drops and Bungie's working on a fix.

The team is continuing to make progress in addressing issues impacting Perk RNG. Currently, we are targeting a hotfix for November 5, 2024. As this fix will touch code for a game-wide system, we're giving the team a bit more time to fully validate the changes needed to address this issue.

In the long-term, we're looking at a few options not only to thank many of you for your data-crunching, but to get some weapons in your hands that had perk rolls with lower RNG chances than intended. First and foremost, we found a fitting emblem deep within our vaults that almost seemed destined for this.

The emblem will represent a moment in time when many throughout the community came together to help us identify this issue. Between your data and our simulations for hundreds of thousands of drops... we're all becoming Conquerors of Infinity.

Tomorrow (Nov 5), we are planning to issue a fix for RNG Perk Weighting Issues in Destiny 2 Hotfix 8.1.0.4.

We'd like to take a moment to thank all our community members who helped in identifying this issue. In thanks for their efforts, and to help players get their hands on a few impacted weapons, we're planning the following:

⚔️Starting November 19 through December 3, the Vesper's Host Dungeon will offer double drops for encounter and activity completions.

➡️Both weapon and armor rewards can drop from encounter completions. This will be a great time to hunt for your desired rolls on weapons, or even hit Master difficulty to earn some Artifice armor.

🤖Starting November 19, Banshee-44 will have a small collection of weapons in the Tower with curated perk rolls. Our goal is to get you some perk combinations that were a bit harder to earn due to the bug. We do not currently have a planned deadline for acquisition, but we recommend picking these weapons up at your earliest convenience.

➡️Rose - Fluted Barrel, Accurized Rounds, Slideshot, Explosive Payload, Smooth Grip, Handling MW
➡️Multimach - Polygonal Rifling + Tactical Mag + Attrition Orbs + Kinetic Tremors + Reload MW

Starting today, our planned Rite of the Nine Dungeon Calendar will be changing. Each Dungeon will be featured for two weeks as opposed to three, and we are increasing Nonary Manifold currency drop rates which can be exchanged for additional weapons. With this change, Ghosts of the Deep will now launch next Tuesday, May 20, followed by Prophecy on June 3.

︀︀Alongside the above change, the second week of a given dungeon will also feature increased weapon drops, where rewards can drop from any enemy defeated during your dungeon playthrough. Holofoils are included in this as well!

This means that all expansions and episodes will be open access starting today July 8th, until July 22nd. During this time, any items, patterns, gear, or cosmetics you earn, you will keep. Just a reminder that episodes will be vaulted in Edge of Fate, so you only have a week to grab any content from them before they are removed. This includes catalysts for the Choir of One, recently sold by Xur.

Also starting today, you will be able to get one Nonary Engram for logging in during the Rite of the Nine event every day until Edge of Fate launches. Don’t forget to check in with the vendor.

This includes anything from the episodes Echoes, Revenant, and Heresy. This includes, but isn't limited to, things like the exotic quests, vendor rewards, triumph rewards, Chess puzzle, and the Rite of the nine event alongside grabbing any forgotten season pass rewards.
