So I've played Destiny since D1...was day 1 D2. In D1 I had a friend group that afforded us the luxury of doing raids etc. In D2, that group dwindled to 3, which was cool because of dungeons. I now stand the sole remaining person from my friend group that plays Destiny. I was looking through badges I've received in D2 and aside from the 3 man dungeons I've done (all except sundered doctrine and ghosts of the deep), I've never set foot into a raid. I was wondering where I should start. I've used fire team finder in D2 for pinnacles, which was the opposite of fun initially when playing dungeons I hadn't been in in literally years. People were...blunt to put it nicely...when it came to being foggy on mechanics. I have no desire to tackle the newest and hardest, but I'd like to say "I did" when it comes to the easier raids. Any advice on where to start? Anything soloable or tolerable in fire team finder(currently 546 light lvl)?

I would strongly recommend you do the entire DP raid multiple times before attempting Epic. The epic raid builds off of the mechanics of the first raid, and LFG is rather strict right now with experience level. Unless you have a team lined up to teach you on your first run, I wouldn’t realistically expect to get the epic done without doing and being efficient at the first raid.

You can do skullfort and then dps swap to falling star for damage. You can run around with skullfort and have a strong neutral game and the ability to throw down your storms keep barricade to take care of any beefy targets and then when it’s time to boss dps swap to the big damage t crash with falling star

mint is already objectively better than most heavy weapons so tractor cannon is a really free slot right now, but even if mint didnt exist the damage you lose from a single nighthawk user swapping to tether is not worth it

song of flame does so much dps on its own for a long enough period even w/o mint it'd be better to just have a song of flame warlock do it with tractor

also theres other sources of weaken, oftentimes felwinter's helm is used if not tractor since it's 30% and the duration can be extended by other weakens like hunter smoke bomb

You can also just use the aspect Flow State, while amplified you take much less damage while dodging. This dodge is infinite while in your super, so you can be completely immune while traversing towards a target.
