You'll get the actual quests once you've begun the campaigns.

If you're referring to one of the Leviathan Raids, they were removed five full years ago. They'd also be incredibly outdated and underpowered by now anyway.

There are a handful of old Menagerie weapons floating around here and there, though.

Or are you asking for crossplay to link your accounts? If your PS4 account still owned the gear you could use it if you linked the accounts with PS4 as your Primary.

Nothing of note has changed with The Final Shape itself. The changes made to the game with Edge of Fate's launch were more fundamental to the game and affect things regardless of what DLCs you own.

As far as your followup question goes, my question would be if you're missing any DLC other than The Final Shape, Lightfall, and Edge of Fate. If you are, get Legacy Collection 2025 (which gets you everything minus EoF and the Dungeon Keys).

No. Without Edge of Fate you're missing out on the EoF campaign, the Desert Perpetual raid, and expansion-locked gear. For the Dungeon Keys, you're missing out on up to 6 dungeons (each key has 2) and their gear. The dungeon keys are only purchaseable with Silver, so they're often a safe thing to put off until later if you're missing multiple campaigns (and from your question you're at least missing 3)

The meta is regularly shifting so on top of that being an extremely broad/vague question, it's one that won't be accurate in a couple months at the most. Additionally, most of where the meta actually matters is content that requires DLC, especially Trials (which always requires the newest DLC ) and the latest raid. In short, if you're worried about missing out on the best possible guns, you should plan to own all of the content in the game.

I severely dislike how this is communicated in destiny, Like in Borderlands, you can understand easily if an enemy is slagged/shocked/corroding for example (Void weak works similar) but for scorch and jolt i find it hard to tell with all the chaos during DPS phases.

Any one have any idea why I might be forced to play a higher combatant power to achieve the same score? Trying to get Wish Keeper. My friend (light lvl 466) leading the party was given an A on a grandmaster (460 combatant power), however my score was a B+ when my light was lvl 405. Shouldn't I be given a higher score grade then him as my light is lower? Our other friend at an even lower light (something like 250 i think) was getting an A at 400 combatant power and he got the wish keeper from our first run. What gives? Why am I being picked on? How do I fix it? I can't even kill a goblin at the power lvl it wants me to play for an A. make it make sense please. 500 Combatant power doesn't even get me an A, B+ doesn't drop me the exotic. Am I just being bullied by bungee?! I've been told that you have to launch it from the legends tab to get the bow, can confirm that is incorrect. My friend got the drop from the portal activity. It might be RNG based on the portal activity though. Still doesn't explain the score requirements for me being higher than everyone else...

lot to unpack here

1. reward score thresholds change every 20 levels, which means at 419 you will have to try pretty damn hard to get that A rank until you hit 420.
2. lower light friend is getting A tier because their reward score threshold for A at 250 is much much lower, meaning getting A is much easier if they are getting power boosted in a harder power delta activity
3. rng works in mysterious ways, and getting A on any of the exotic missions in the portal will give the best chance at getting it
4. if it's any consolation, wish-keeper kind of sucks.

I really appreciate the reply, and everything you are saying makes sense except my friend at a higher light is getting a better score for the same combatant power. Why would I (419) have to play at 560 to get an A, when someone at 466 gets an A from playing at 460? I can't even put the power level that high, but he did and that's what it wanted before I got an A. Pretty sure that's literally impossible for us to complete.

It's always been guaranteed on full clears (even after your first of the week). If you're talking just farming the Crota encounter, I'm not sure if folks have tested. Depending on how Bungie removed the weekly limit could've introduced a scenario where oversouls are infinitely farmable, though.
