literally the only reason to do so is to use the loot cave in kepler and maybe get tier 5s from crucible

If you wait til Ash & Iron, you'll be able to grind 400-500 much more easily, but 500-550 will be even worse than 400-450

At least they reversed the proposed reward changes

however, when I go to collect the 6th chest, it indicates my Fated Cipher is full.
could this be the reason the Triumph doesnt complete, even w/ the chest being opened?
edit: just noticed theres actually a chest in one of the rooms I hadnt opened. I thought the 6th chest was this encounter 🙂

-20 isn't the issue, my main concern is losing the reward bonus from Locked Loadout. If Touche ends up being similar, then the grind won't be that much worse. But if we need to turn on more modifiers to hit the same reward tiers, I could easily see -40 being annoying.

That's my point, Locked Loadout was nice for score and didn't cause much of an issue. Avant was annoying because you lose Eager Edge. We'll get that back with Heavy Metal, so as long as Touche gives score similar to current Locked, we'll be fine

It just depends on how they tune the scoring for Locked, Avant, and Touche going forward

There are a lot of lower skill players that try to leech higher level activities for things like conquests or GM pinnacle farms, burning all the revive tokens and generally wasting time. Some people would rather boot every low level player than risk a leech.

Not saying that's right, or that there aren't 400+ leeches, just the way its always been. People will kick for non-meta loadouts or just cause they don't like your name.

you like casting your phoenix dive often, and starfire regenerates your class ability very quickly

Over leveling is generally not a thing in D2, however, and Fireteam Power is a thing as of last year so the number of places it actually matters what your individual power is is very low.

"Do more damage" is a pretty broad term in Destiny. If you're counting kills, then they've built around add clear better than you have. If you're counting boss damage numbers at the end of a raid or dungeon then they've brought a better damage loadout than you and/or have better knowledge of how/when to do damage to the boss, including, but not limited, to knowing how best to do damage with their loadout. Without specific examples including the ability to see what both you and your teammates are using, it's impossible to give a more detailed explanation.

No, but the differences are offset by fire rate, effective range, ammo economy, etc.

And, generally, addressing those tradeoffs requires building around them. For instance, running two special ammo weapons is all but universally more effective, kills/damage wise, than running a primary and special (or God forbid double primary), but requires you to make ammo generation a consideration in your build.

Bungie doesn't publish drop chances on anything, though it is inherently hard to get by virtue of coming from Trials. It's the most recent shell to be added to the Trials loot pool with only four other shells being possible (Hero's Wake, Horus Shell, In Memoriam Shell, and Lantern Shell)
