I started edge of fate yesterday and I’m still confused on the new armor system. I’m a bit annoyed how all my old armor is terrible as they have high resilience stats but has now been changed to health which I’ve been told isn’t great in pve, and I don’t know what I should do or work towards doing to get new high stat armor. I also don’t understand the archetype pieces on armour (gunner, brawler etc) as in does that mean it will primarily do the two stats the archetype has, if it does than how do go high in two stats in separate archetypes? Lots of things I’m asking, would appreciate the help

So kinda boiled down. Your old armor can be used for "illegal" stat distribution like if old armor had hugh inctellect and mobility you can get high super and weapon stat now. I'd say main things im going for for stats is primary super stat, secondary weapon, and third either melee or grenade for PvE. For pvp I go all into weapons and health. To get good armor is making sure you play the campaign on legendary and increase world tier difficulty for better lootz getting guardian rank high, and farming either solo ops B+/A tier or pinnacle ops B+/A tier.

And new armor drops with a primary, secondary, and tertiary (3rd) main stat. So say for Paragon armor which is super main stat, your largest stat will be super with specific stats being your secondary, and then the rest being your tertiary.

Pick one or the other as your main because you can't get armor with both of them being your 1st and 2nd.
Ex: if super (paragon) or weapon (gunner) is your primary stat, the other will be highest your tertiary or 3rd stat/lowest.

I would suggest trying on your Hunter and seeing if you're as weak as you are on your other chars. If you're not, then most likely what's happening is Master is 300 and -30. Meaning if you're 270 or higher, you're forced down to effectively 270, but if you're lower than 270, then you get a worse disadvantage.

Vex Strike Force

Vex Strike Force is a special public event on Neomuna that is guaranteed to drop an exotic on successful completion. Despite being on Neomuna, it does not require Lightfall to get rewards. The exotic loot pool is determined by what DLC you own (and includes LLS exotics). Unacquired exotics (only those released before The Final Shape) that you have access to are guaranteed to drop before duplicates.

When does it happen?

It's random. There's a discord server that runs a bot that'll alert you when one is coming and help you group up with other players to work on it. It's a difficult activity to solo so it's useful to have a big group.

If you are a solo player, keep in mind it is better to load into the Liming Harbor even if the VSF is in a different area as it is more likely you'll join instances with other people.

Note: VSF won't happen when Terminal Overload is active in the same spot.

I'm not sure if a specific article exists, but the general understanding is that every 100 levels (and the GR limited by that requirement) are what determine base tier drops. So you'll get Tier 1 until you get to 200, then you'll get Tier 2 until you get to 300. Prime engrams seem to reward +1 tier, which is why you could get Tier 2 before 200 and why people are able to get Tier 5 at 400+

I was in a similar situation to you, I played back in Red War, quit for years, and then game back to recent content. To my knowledge, this is what has happened to everything in the Red War:

• You can still visit the Cosmodrome, the EDZ, and Nessus to do patrols and public events. The only areas that weren't re-added are Titan and IO.
• Many of the old nightfalls are still in the game, some of them updated slightly to fit current lore.
• Most (if not all) of the old PVP maps are still in the game.
• The Leviathan raid is gone.
• The Farm social area is gone.
• The Red War campaign is gone.
• Trials of the Nine has been converted into Trials of Osiris, though you can only access it if you own the most recent DLC.

As for what has been added to the F2P Experience:

• You can explore all new destination spaces (in the World tab) including the Moon, Europa, Mars/Savathun's Throne World, The Dreaming City, Neomuna, and Eternity.
• The Shadowkeep and Beyond Light campaigns are free to play.

Honestly it's hard to say, it's been ages since I played Red War, so memory and nostalgia are tinting my view. There were some missions in the Red War like when you drive the tank in the mines that I remember both really enjoying and being really frustrated by. I also remember hating the infamous first mission where you're crawling on the ground and junk after losing the Light. I remember liking Ghaul's character but thinking his overall mission was dumb in the lore (I understand they needed to come up with a way to reset us from D1). Overall I enjoyed my initial playthrough of the story but I remember really disliking subsequent playthroughs on my other characters.

Shadowkeep has a pretty interesting premise, but got old pretty quick. It was also fairly unmemorable. People don't really hate it, but I also don't think its anyone's favorite campaign.

Beyond Light is a lot better than Shadowkeep, but can suffer at times from having to regularly return to the same areas, which can get a bit boring. The story investigating the Darkness is interesting, but I personally didn't find the antagonists that engaging.

Because both Shadowkeep and Beyond Light are free, it helps me overlook some of their flaws. I'd say they're all roughly on par with each other, and later campaigns like The Witch Queen, The Final Shape, and even the new Edge of Fate are much more enjoyable experiences. Lightfall was very bad.
