The bosses in Desert Perpetual have really long DPS windows, which make weapons with high total damage more desirable. Outbreak has high total damage when multiple people on the team stack it, and it has no ammo requirement, which is twice as important for long phases.

High burst options like Hezen or Outrageous are still worthwhile in encounters with shorter damage windows.

Outbreak is usually considered alternative DPS that you switch to when you run out of Heavy/Special on your other options but the phase is still going. This is how people were using it in Desert Perpetual as well, but it was soon realized that it actually did enough damage in those encounters that you could be lazy and skip using Heavy/Special. 9/10 it will be worse damage (even with a team) than normal DPS options for most encounters.

If i want to switch mains to warlock how long would it take me to finish all the campaigns to unlock all the classes and stuff again or will it already be unlocked since ive done it once before? You will have to do all the campaigns again, unfortunately, if you want to fully unlock everything. However, you don't really need access to everything. Most builds are either using Solar or Prismatic, so if you just run The Final Shape to get Prismatic, you'll be in a good spot. Additionally, you won't need to recollect the Fragments for Prismatic since they're shared across classes, you'll just need the Aspects.

Against non-boss combatants, having the faster reload is generally going to be more useful.

Against bosses, it gets a bit more complicated. I did some rough math and it looks like Appended gets 14 extra shots over Alloy (assuming you hit everything, not counting Nanite hits). However, I'm not sure which setup will have more DPS when factoring reload time without actively testing it.

Use whichever you think sounds better. Personally I've used both and prefer Alloy

If you have B+ and the bar is halfway to A, assuming you do the Bonus Objective and finish under the time limit, you should get an A reward. However, I have noticed that you will sometimes just barely miss out on A rank (like 50 point miss) if you're right on the halfway point to A. I usually increase my banes until I'm at 2/3rds to really guarantee it hits A.

Personally I don't sweat too hard over it. Outbreak is generally a backup DPS option for bosses, so the majority of my use of it comes from running GM content where Alloy is preferable. If there is a DPS difference against bosses, it doesn't seem especially noticeable, so I just stick with Alloy there too.

For maximizing damage, time spent reloading is time wasted not dealing damage. We can reduce these dead periods by either extending the number of shots you can fire before needing to reload or by reducing the reload time itself. As an example, lets imagine a gun can shoot 10 bullets before need 1 second to reload, which make the ratio 10:1. If we double the mag size with something like Appended Mag, our ratio becomes 20:1. However, if we use something like Alloy to cut our reload time in half, we get 10:0.5, which is equivalent to 20:1. Obviously things are a bit more complicated than that in the live game, but the core idea is the same. Without seeing testing numbers, I'm not quite sure whether Appended vs Alloy has a greater impact, if any, on boss damage. But based on my own anecdotal play evidence, it seems similar enough to not matter.

There are two versions of Outbreak, the version from Season 6 and the version from Season 23. The Season 6 version is a non-crafted weapon and has an actual Catalyst spot, so if you've seen people with that, they're using the old version of the weapon. The Season 23 version (that you have) is crafted and does not have a slot for the Catalyst since it builds it into the crafting process. The Season 23 version is better than the Season 6 version for many reasons.

When you highlight an activity in the Portal, it should list what rewards it drops. If it mentions Solstice engrams under the Bonus Rewards section, then you'll get Solstice items for playing it. If it doesn't, you won't. Which activities have the Solstice rewards change daily, and Caldera has had it a couple of times now.
