You can pretty much trash all your old armor. There are some extremely minor minmax reasons to keep certain old rolls, but unless they're pretty close to 30/30 spikes, I wouldn't bother. Old weapons can still be very valuable, but many have been outclassed by newer ones. That's something you'll need to check on a case-by-case basis, but you can always ask over in #💎shard-it-keep-it to help you out.

Or you can be hardcore and completely scrap your entire Vault. A lot of the new gear is really good, and we get bonus damage and defense for using new stuff, so many players have been steering clear of old stuff anyway.

While I'd still highly recommend Sunshot, the new event SMG Yeartide Apex is pretty good and easy to get. If you don't mind PVP, the Stars in Shadow pulse is pretty good too. Ahab Char doesn't have great perks, but it's pretty easily avalible. If you don't mind trying to learn a raid, Zaouli's Bane from the King's Fall raid is the Legendary version of Sunshot. For special weapons, Returned Memory is a very ammo efficient Rocket Sidearm

They've changed many of the major systems in-game, including the power system, so they reset everyone to 10. The new player experience is 10 - 200. The seasonal power grind is 200 - 450+. At the end of a season, anyone above 200 will be reset to 200 for the next season, which also works as a catch-up mechanic for returning players.

You might have noticed armor stats are very different, all the old armor was converted to the new stats. It's likely that most of your old gear didn't convert favorably, so feel free to get rid of it and start farming the new stuff. You'll also notice that new gear comes with Tiers from 1 to 5, with 1 being pretty average and 5 having special perks.

Most players right now are chasing Tier 5 gear. In order to do so, you both need to both grind your light and progress your Guardian Rank as high as you can.

I forgot to mention, new weapons and armor get a "new gear bonus" that lets them do a little extra damage and have better defense than old stuff for the season. However, your old weapons are still worth keeping if they have good perks. But now is a great time to clear the junk out of your vault so you can start collecting new stuff. AFAIK it still hasn't been confirmed one way or another if exotics are farmable like legendaries are. If you don't want to risk wasting your time, then one chance per class per week is it

It's not clear what's going on, but there's definitely been more reports of scoring being less forgiving this week which is odd because they actually have a multiplier boost active this week. Could just be placebo, but fireteam ops that I could get As on, at least after farming adds throughout, I'd be lucky to get a B+ after killing every add this week.

this feels like a dumb question, but is making a mission "expert" as easy as picking it in the mod menu beforehand? when I add/remove mods I get anything from "easy" to "impossible," so I feel like I can do "easy expert" and pass, but I didn't know if that meant I was supposed to do something like "hard expert" or something
