If you’re just doing lower end stuff then yeah Skullfort will be fine

You could even have an almost identical loadout where one is Skullfort and the other has Cuirass, so you could swap over to Cuirass before bosses

If your Cuirass setup is purely for boss damage, there are ways to optimize your mods to support that.

Personally, just focus on your Skullfort setup for now. The game isn't terribly difficult and most bosses aren't that much of an obstacle with a decent non-optimized setup. If you get stuck, then it might be worth considering more optimizations, loadout swaps, etc.

You can redeem the red border off of them without trashing if it's got a decent roll while still acquiring patterns. For example, my first red boarder of Nullify had Heal Clip + Incandescent, so I used that until I finished unlocking the rest of the patterns.

You can track how many patterns you've unlocked for each weapon in Collections or through a 3rd party site like Engram Blue.

Personally, most current gear will be trash. No set bonus and will be replaced as you get higher tier gear. The only exceptions are for non-archetype stat distributions, but I think that will only be relevant as the system rolls out. They're likely to add those archetypes in the future.

The Bozo sheet is really good at helping newer/returning players chase after meta weapons without being paralyzed by choice. However, at the risk of giving you too much power, Aegis' Destiny 2: Endgame Analysis covers weapons from an Endgame PVE perspective at a more granular level. If you're unfamiliar with meta perk combos or weapon roles, it can often be confusing to understand, so I'd recommend you keep deferring to the Bozo sheet. However, this will show you a more complete list of how certain weapons stack up based on Archetype, Frame, Perk Options, and Origin traits.

There's also a "Shopping List" tab that does a good job of showing what to prioritize farming for.

There are a few exotics that are tied to missions now in the game, like Whisper of the Worm and Outbreak Perfected. You can find both of those missions and a third in the Legends node in the Director. The third mission rotates through a set of missions, currently numbering 6 with 3 more to be added soon.

I guess to give you a real, practical answer, I would work on getting a few things. First, a reliable legendary primary in each slot. Second, a legendary LMG, Rocket Launcher, and Heavy GL. Third, start collecting legendary special weapons for a variety of situations. Use either the shopping list or bozo's list to pick whatever options are achievable for you, you can always upgrade later.

As a trend, most good weapons come from raids. Ideally, you want to ensure you have enough options to go and start raiding. For most raid encounters, there will be an exotic weapon that's best suited for it. Your goal for legendary weapons is to ensure you can always build around whatever exotic you end up using.

I expect it's doing that because it's a very old version of that gun. Age-Old Bond, along with all of the Last Wish weapons, were reprised and made craftable.

Okay this is gonna be a lot:
I tried a build yesterday that combines threaded specter and ascension on prismatic hunter.
when i used ascension it created the specter mid air (kinda unfortunate yet also fun seing all enemies look upwards - insert that willem dafoe meme)
The thing is, the specter never spawned threadlings, didnt matter if it was destroyed by me or enemies. When i changed to balance of power legs it did spawn threadlings when shot (again, enemies or self didnt matter) is there somthing about the interactions i dont understand? is that working as intended? was it because the first test i did with radiant dance machines?

I would really appreciate your input concerning my next purchase since I am returning to Destiny 2 after quite a long break.

As of now, I own all the expansions up to Lightfall, but The Final Shape and Dungeon Keys are still unavailable to me. So, I’m a bit perplexed as to my best course of action.

Should I go for the Light and Darkness Bundle, the Legacy Collection, or just buy The Final Shape on its own?

I would like to make sure that I am able to access key pieces of content like dungeons and raids. At the same time, I do not want to spend too much if I have the majority of the content already.

Also, I would greatly appreciate any information on how accessible the Dungeon Keys are for the endgame and how much content they unlock, also if they're really worth getting.

If you want Prismatic, then go for the final shape by itself, but the new DLC does come out in like 2 weeks

Legacy collection is no value to you with what you say you own, so basically your options are Final Shape, Final Shape + Annual, or Light & Darkness. If you want Final Shape's dungeon key, FS+Annual is your best bet.

Final Shape + Annual is $20 vs $22 for L&D and L&D provides nothing extra for them

Well if you're trying to buy a gun, the quests space isn't the issue. Either you're full in the weapon slot the gun's in, or your engrams are full. If you mean you're trying to get a quest for a gun, then you're likely full in the overall quests tab due to bounties. Check the bottom left corner of the quests screen
