Raids are not purpose built to also be done solo. They are very specifically team activities.

VSF will give unacquired exotics (at least exotics that were released before Final Shape) for folks who own Lightfall

Vex Strike Force is a special public event on Neomuna that is guaranteed to drop an exotic on successful completion. Despite being on Neomuna, it does not require Lightfall to get rewards. The exotic loot pool is determined by what DLC you own (and includes LLS exotics). Unacquired exotics (only those released before The Final Shape) that you have access to are guaranteed to drop before duplicates.

When does it happen?

It's random. There's a discord server that runs a bot that'll alert you when one is coming and help you group up with other players to work on it. It's a difficult activity to solo so it's useful to have a big group.

If you are a solo player, keep in mind it is better to load into the Liming Harbor even if the VSF is in a different area as it is more likely you'll join instances with other people.

Note: VSF won't happen when Terminal Overload is active in the same spot.

If you have the annual pass, I'd highly recommend doing the seasonal Episodes while they're still around, specifically Episode Echoes. A couple of really good weapons come from it.

The new Rite of the Nine event will only be here for a limited time, so give that a try, especially if you've never played the 3 dungeons that are featured in it.

Otherwise I would just do the "normal" stuff; play through the campaigns, unlock the different subclasses, collect Exotics, discover what is fun for you

It's been a while since I've done it, but I don't think so. That one just lets you go to the secret areas. There is a portal you'll go through before the tormentor fight that has a puzzle in it

This is wrong, this is for the 2nd chest. First chest is the one you're thinking of. My only other suggestion is to just make sure you're in the right version of the mission

once you prestige rahool's rep once, you can focus exotics you haven't gotten. vex strike force drops a random unacquired exotic as well but thats super rng

and if you wanna prestige his rep fast i think the best way to farm the engrams is solo expert lost sectors

Focused decryptions give more rep than just opening them. If you have the resources it can save you a few lost sector runs

For right now, if you have access to Echoes, you can focus high-stat armor at Failsafe. But it's the same problem, it could end up as trash in 6 weeks

GMs tend to be the prime farming activity, which you're easily at Power for. You just need a bit of patience.

You can also farm Expert Lost Sectors to get the resources to exchange at Rahool for like 3 each week. Resetting the Tower vendors also tends to give you 1 along the progression path. Xur is an easy one to progress with Strange Coin purchases

They're on Power and would have teammates. Patience, caution, and distance, will easily handle it.

You just have to treat every enemy like it can kill you.

The hardest part of Warden is the post-train part with the snipers and the big battle royale section with the mines. If you can take out the snipers, the rest of that room is easy. If you don't get cornered at the mine, that room is easy.
