As a lot of you have noticed by now, but we've been victim of another attempt at raiding / grieving the server. Thankfully the only damage that has been done are channels being removed, we've taken care of the user and will be rebuilding the server now.

How long it'll take to rebuild is unsure, but we will let everyone know when it's ready.

Ok most channels are back up, shard and keep it will be up shortly. The only one that is going to take time is the class builds channel as that channel wasn't easy to save since it was in the format of threads. It will be remade sometime in the future

We will be turning on Discords new Community Onboarding feature very soon. This will replace the bot role menus and we have to set up some channels as "default channels". Once this goes live you might see some channels disappear from your channel list. If this happens just select the ones you want to see again from the Channels and Roles Menu which will replace the current Browse Channels menu.

🎉 Exciting News, Guardians! 🎉

Hello everyone! We have fantastic news to share with you all – the Class Builds channel is back in action! We apologize for the delay in its return, but it's finally here with a fresh twist. Before you dive in, we encourage you to check out the pinned post to get acquainted with the tweaks we've made to enhance your experience.

We're embarking on a trial period for a forum-style adaptation of the destiny-questions channel. Our aim is to transform it into a hub for asking and answering questions, steering away from prolonged discussions. We'll be closely observing this change over the next few weeks to evaluate its effectiveness.

Lastly, let's talk about Server Rule 11. We've noticed some conversations toeing the line of this rule, especially regarding unofficially leaked content about the game. It's crucial to remember that even if an event seems highly likely to occur within the game, discussing it still constitutes a leak. Unless officially announced by Bungie, we kindly ask that you refrain from delving into such topics.

Both the class-builds and new destiny-questions will be opening momentarily. Thank you all for your continuous support of this server and for those of you who take the time to assist others with their questions.

<@&1019968380154945546> After the resounding feedback to the change, we've swapped back to a standard chatroom for destiny-questions. Sorry for the frustration.

For some context about the sudden nature of the change, going the forum approach for questions is something the staff had been thinking about for a while but we had technical blockers making it not feasible for us. As we got close to re-opening #1135936155527946280⁠, we realized we could reasonably try out destiny-questions as a forum at the same time. Obviously, we can all see how that went and we'll need to figure out alternative solutions to some of the issues we see with that channel.

Onboarding has been enabled for nearly a month now, and its been a huge success for applying the proper roles to new users. We used to have less than 50% rate of users successfully getting their platform roles to unlock the server. The bot role menu's would go down sometimes and we'd have to manually apply roles to everyone who joined. People would open tickets constantly for help.

This has completely resolved all of those issues and for the last month every new user who has joined the server and gone through the onboarding process has received all of their roles. Due to this I have removed the old role menu's and re-purposed #👉getting-started to explain how the Channels & Roles menu works.

Some of you may have seen some channels disappear from your sidebar when we enabled onboarding, that's just how the new system works. You get to pick and choose which channels you can see.

If you just want it to work the way it used to, I added a button in there to just give you access to all the channels.

Make sure you are following the discussion and strategy categories in order to see the spoiler channels once they are enabled later tonight. Following a category or following all channels with show new channels when they are created.

A quick update on our spoiler rules for Season/Episodes launches:

Starting with Episode 2: Revenant, the team has decided that we will not implement the spoiler rule anymore for Episode launches, unlike previously where all season releases had a 48h spoiler restriction in effect.

Raid and Dungeons will however still continue to have a spoiler restriction with their own spoiler channel when they come out, including the upcoming Dungeon 'Vesper's Host' that launches this Friday.

The first thing you will notice is this channel is now in the new "server information" category, where anything related to the server will now be.
