STARVE CYCLES! If you die during a starve cycle you get set back 2 cycles, back to when you weren't starving. What if the reason you are set back those cycles is because of the fourth numeral (gluttony) dragging you back due to insufficient funds (i have no idea how else to word that).
Makes me think of the old inhabitants and their gravel tea, they were able to shed the numeral gradually. We don't exactly have access to tea, let alone a kitchen...
If you attempt to shed a numeral and become unsuccessful at it, what are the chances that it just sets you back further in the cycle?
The fourth numeral is the only example I can think of though.

I find the way Bitter Aerie is built a bit facinating. It's definitely not a city like ||how you'd find on Pebbles' can||, but maybe like...more of a industrial zone. The ruin of the mechanical bits are shown quite well. You can see that they are functioning with all the background noise of the area, some of the sounds remind me of heating for some reason, the steam noises. Specifically in the shelters.
