Sometimes you’ll see a Volatile in them as a random encounter, and they can also get in there if you’re in a chase

You can get bows and crossbows pretty early on, some vendors will also have them. You can buy guns from Jai as soon as you get to the Fish Eye

i just do all the side missions rn and locations if nearby cause i fear they will be deactivated when (not if as iread that happens) i continue too far with the MQ, so i 200 HP/Stamina rn and propably at the point i have any ranged weapon i will be somewhat overleveled even though i dont hope so

The teleport feature has been one of the best and worst features they’ve added to the game it drives me absolutely nuts, It’s hardly ever properly used. I don’t like how people can teleport the host it’s super obnoxious and I don’t like how I get teleported even though I’m at the objective and the other players are not. If I wanted to be teleported I’d teleport myself stop spamming the button all the time people 🤦🏻‍♂️

Just makes things take longer because you have to wait out the 3 seconds. The teleport feature should only be used when someone is afk or refusing to come to the objective and at the point just kick them, when your at an objective it gives players the option to teleport to you, you don’t have to do it for them. I play a lot of co op and I’m always on point, I hate hate when I’m helping a new player and things are going great I give them all the time in the word to do whatever it is they want then a 3rd player will join and start rushing everything even though the host is on their first playthrough.

Any time I play co op I give people 1 teleport maybe 2 passes most then I just leave. If your so inpatient just don’t play co op 💁🏻‍♂️

Just farm volatiles outside of safe zones, they drop money, valuables to sell and infected trophies, you can also run around during the day time and hunt human enemies who drop a good amount of money and often armor and weapons you can sell.

Doing quests, random encounters and maybe Tower raid I can’t recall if you get money or not from it

I’m surprised The Beast didn’t have any kind of enemy camps, they easily could’ve added a few Outposts occupied by The Barons men and once you remove them survivors could take it over and you’ll see like slowly return to Castor woods. They could’ve added a few bandit camps as well spread out around the map

Yeah it’s a shorter game, it’s meant to be short and sweet. Personally I love the cars and I hope they keep coming back in future installments. Having a variety of ways to get around in an open world zombie game is always good. Hell DL2 would benefit from having a car, plenty of space for it.

Yeah but those tall buildings don’t make any sense from the inside, there’s no doors, stairs or elevators and a lot of the stuff inside the buildings make little sense or are copy and pasted, I love Villedor it’s fun to parkour on but it’s definitely got a lot of flaws due to the map being generated by AI

I like the verticality that Villedor offers but I also like Castor woods it’s a great map. There’s just less to parkour on overall

I’m on PS so I hold square til it’s open and then hold the left analog stick back to stay up in the air longer, if you hold forward you’ll nose dive onto the ground

As for the parkour it’s miles better than DL1, it’s a lot less realistic but it’s fun in its own way. DL1 parkour is slow and clunky, The Beast parkour is the best we’ve gotten so far there’s just less of it, it’s got all the new stuff that was introduced with DL2 but it’s more grounded like DL1

I don’t play on PC so I don’t know the controls, someone on PC will have to help you with that. In the skills menu it has little videos and a description of each skill. So use that to learn how to use them properly and if you need to you can just watch a tips and tricks video.

Yeah I’ve noticed that, back when I used to play I feel like dismemberment happened more often, especially after playing the Beast and how often it happens on there I’ve noticed just how inconsistent it’s become on DL2, not a big issue tho by any means because it still happens just not as often

But again, the achievement is for distance traveled doesn't specify footwork, really feel like at least gliding should be added to the tracker 960km is just too much lol

Sure they could be more clear but it’s such an easy achievement, it’s not something you have to go out of your way to do and can be done incredibly fast if you limit grapple use and glider use. It’s something you get over time

And the game is meant to be beaten multiple times, there’s multiple endings and different paths to choose from, if you don’t get it on your first playthrough just play through again. It’s one of the easiest achievements it just takes a little time

Kinda sad how DL2 co op has devolved, back when I used to play i was constantly finding new players to help out and they were chill. These days it’s rare to find someone new who plays normally, they’re always using broken weapons, skipping all dialogue and cutscenes. Then you’ll be having a good time and other people will randomly join turning the game obnoxious with broken weapons 🥲

I feel like I’m one of the few people who play the game normally, I don’t try to optimize the fun out of it, I like to immerse myself.

When I join someone I don’t teleport them around I join them to help them not to play for them like some people do. I match their playstyle and I stick by them even when they’re just wandering around

I still get some good games though so it’s not all bad, was helping this player out last night and it was a really fun time up until a 3rd joined, sometimes 3 people can be fun, I think 2 players is best unless you know who your playing with. It can quickly turn into 4 people with completely different playstyles clashing and it becomes chaos rather than enjoyment

i go to the fish eye, go to the dark hallow south west of it and you should find a volatile hive. Dont destroy the hive and just farm the infected as they keep coming. if you have the chibi charm from halloween for +300% recourses use it or the christmas axe. those make the farm insane. if the virals stop spawning go to the 2nd floor and back down and should be good

The map doesn’t need fast travel, you can cross the map incredibly fast with a truck or using the grapple. My first playthrough took 63 hours including the 100% the story is decently sized, all the side quests are high quality, the infected design is great. You may not like TB but that’s a you problem not a game problem. Both DL2 and The Beast are better than DL1 in almost every way.
