Developer Feedback
To do it like that would be quite tricky. Player traversal is very, very complex and there's little chance that they would be able to behave as you would expect them to. We want to introduce some sort of increased support from the NPCs in the game — maybe we could do something in the form of calling them in for reinforcements.

Idea and feedback is from 2023

They haven't done anything with it in nearly 3 years

And considering they hid the Community Ideas page in the website, we might not get it

They've done a lot of suspicious stuff

Here's some things they never followed through on:
• DLTB last gen port (people paid money for this, and it was supposed to be released in 2025)
• Community Ideas (haven't been touched in 3 years)
• Roadmap/promises (roadmap was never completed and the promises of additions to DL2 weren't ever mentioned again)

this is me speculating... but he wasn't expecting... knowing the average player it's a ng+ mode (not a restart).

I personally LOVED restored lands and was the first time i've been a try-hard on a game for a deathless run. Used my final revive serum due to being double exploded by the stupid howler at the substation... got a hazmat zombie that exploded near me which then triggered a propane tank which exploded immediately after. lol

However now that my deathless run is "done" I probably won't be as slow to run balls deep anymore lol. I GOT MY RAMBO SKIN and i'm happy about it.

Kind of a bitc* move, but yes... if you know you're going to die you could Alt + F4 quickly. Caveat... if you try to alt + f4 as you're "Dying" you'll reload back to die. Tried it my first run (before revive serums were a thing)

I have 156hrs currently and died early to stupid stuff or making stupid mistakes. Besides the one the time alpha shoved his whole fist up my butt and I essentially exploded... lol

That was alpha on the first night, running to the tunnel after "the beast" by that I mean when you leave via the top of the church.

I wouldn’t mind that at all, that’s the main factor that keeps me playing long term, if it is co op I hope they balance it as well because as of right now playin with anyone significantly lower level than you is next to impossible unless you kept lower level weapons which thankfully I did but still I can’t kick or drop kick or it’ll one shot them so I’m stuck only using weapons and head stomps so I don’t ruin anyone’s experience

And that’s not to say co op is the only factor that’s important post launch of course not but most of my hours after 100% and reaching max legend level are spent helping / playing with new players and I have a good time regardless of how many times I’ve completed a quest

Now that I’ve done absolutely everything there is to do on restored lands I’d love to join others and help them out but with that I hope they make it to where when you play co op on restored land whenever you join someone you can’t bring any gear you start from scratch only keeping your level and skills that way people can’t cheese it by dropping the host everything they’ll need and then some and so everytime you join them you’ll have what you left off with or if you join someone new it’ll start you back at nothing although I have no idea how they’d pull that off

Yes and no, legend level go with NG+ so you start weak and become super strong to eventually balanced it out by doing all 11 NG+ which will leave you off stronger with the extra stats but doesn’t leave you broken which would make the game boring after an hour or 2

How do hidden treasures work on dying light the beast

I found one but I wasn’t even looking for it, just did a puzzle and got a fancy gun

You can either stumble across them accidentally by exploring or you’ll find notes/ treasure maps showing the location and they’ll all pretty easily to follow and recognize especially when you learn the map

And as far as I know you don’t need the map to find them first i stumbled across most of them just by naturally playing
