It depends I feel. If you're focusing on damage, a 2 handed weapon would fit you most. Other exotic weapons exist and they can be better for you or not, like an exotic katana or an exotic knife.

Finding one with the right affixes that you want is something I don't focus on, but it's there if you want.

Or you can look up diamond ultra on youtube and he'll help you find glitched DL2 weapons easily :)
