Anyone have suggestions for someone playing the newer version of DL2 for the first time? (I played a bit right after the gun version and finished the game at launch)

I'm very early game but I didn't know if there was a suggested strategy or places to farm resources/best places to find items. It used to be that you would grind out for stamina increases but now it's not AS important (still obviously matters) but any suggestions on what to farm I'd love to hear it.

The first game, with storms, the hunkered down survivors in the tower, has just this perfect feeling of dread especially that first time you step out of the tower to venture on your own. DL2 started off that way. Spike going his own way, you meeting your contact underground....I really had hopes for it.

i mean do remember these people have been locked in the town for some time now and have had to fight the zeds longer then the first game

first game was around the start of the break out so it only makes sense the humans in dl2 would be less in despair where in 1 they had just had the attack happen

honestly i was shocked if you choose the pk they didint setup more checkpoints and blockades to help defend the streets as things went along

I get that the virus had been around longer and ppl have been able to acclimate. I was just hoping that the zombies had evolved (which they did) to a point that there was still this level of dread to go out alone.

idk i do think they could have made stealth better and more usefull at night but i just dont see any way they could have done this outside of adding the stalker from be the zombie back to the game

Some games you look at encampments and question how they even could take on a zombie horde. The PK had the perfect headquarters tbh. On water, heavily fortified, armed to the teeth. Hell even their uniforms showed that that they were aware of the dangers of the outbreak.

The story is what drags it down, It's soo bloated and I know the first story wasn't grand but the side quest's felt like they had some weight. Dying light 2's story mad annoying fuck the choices, fuck the side quests and the new filters helps a tad bit but still doesn't compare to dl 1's atmosphere.

Me and my friends only ever go back and play dl1 as it's managable to get through while dl2 feels like a chore.

ryzen is only better for gaming depending on whether the game takes advantage of the 3D V-Cache which most single player games now days can benefit from it. But if you like fast paced first person shooter games where 1% lows are more beneficial then just high frame rates then 12th, 13th, 14th gen intel tends do better. WarZone, BlackOps6, Apex Legends, Overwatch etc.. These games benefit more from higher 1% lows as compared to single player games that take advantage of the 3D V-Cache.

Either way modern Ryzen or Modern intel both offer a solid experience but current AMD is better then current intel because intel kinda dropped the ball on gaming with the ultra series.
