Dl1 is my favorite game. I've had it less than 3 months, and I have 150 hours. One of the greatest zombie games, if not THE greatest zombie game of all time, cost me a grand total of $6. And this thing costs... Guess what? $60. Ten times more. I've heard nothing good about it. I've heard how it downgrades a lot of things. The only good things I've heard are that there's multiple story endings, which, honestly, gotta give it to Dying Light 2 for the story. Dying Light 1 was never really about the story. The best part about Dying Light 1 are the side quests, story-wise. You know. Really? Yeah. Dying Light 1 is better. And the human combat. I've heard fighting humans in Dying Light 2 is much more enjoyable.

I've tried to give Dying Light its victories in some areas. I've heard how people like the setting of the game, but they hate the map. They say going through the map is absolutely horrible. I've heard that, you know, the multiple story options are cool. I've heard that, you know, there's probably a few extra zombies, and that's cool. I've also heard how volatiles are way easier to kill. They're way less scary. The chases are less hard. I've also heard that the game is overall more annoying to play. I haven't heard any of those things about Dying Light 1.

Not Worst in every single way, I guess, as I've previously stated There's only a few things in Dying Light 2 that I would like to come to Dying Light 1, or would've liked. First up, more factions. There's three more factions, if you count the hostile survivors. Zombies, the bandits, and the survivors. Would've been cool to see, like, a more neutral faction in-game. Second, the armored zombies. I don't know what they're called, but in a Dying Light 2 video, I saw a normal-sized zombie that was covered in, like, metal armor, and it seemed pretty cool. Next, better fighting human combat. Humans in Dying Light 1 are just... honestly, overpowered. They've been blocked, they haven't been armed with any kind of crates. And finally... that's it.

DL1 is the short but scary version, wished they used some of the mechanics in DL2 , but DL2 is more friendly for family play, the world is bigger and there's more to explore. For people like me who finished DL1 it's a great continuation of the night runners concept and forth. Waiting for the Beast too, maybe we'll see some good horror back.

Assuming all aspects of the game-story, atmosphere, details, combat-are equal, Dying Light 1 is still better. If you skip all the cutscenes, you might not care about story or atmosphere, but I do, so those elements matter to me in evaluating the games

Although, just to show that I haven't left this without anything, here are the things I've learned today about Dying Light 2 that might help someone's opinion on it being better. First up, it's longer. Its map is bigger. Apparently it's suitable for younger audiences. I mean, I don't think so. But I think fighting humans is better because they don't block every single attack. And finally, it's longer. I can beat Dying Light 1 in 4 hours now.

Guess both games have ups and downs, where you have the perfect skill tree in DL1 you're missing this in DL2 where it's focused on Health and Stamina. Sadly some people focus on health rather than stamina and then find out that they can't move further in the game (stamina most important)

The main reason why Dying Light 2 is worse is because if I got Dying Light 1 for $6 and they're asking $60 for Dying Light 2, I would expect Dying Light 2 to be at least 11 times better than Dying Light 1, but it's not. I'm not going to let anyone sit here and say it's better, but I'd say they're about equal based on what I've learned. Definitely not 11 times better.

No. Price is like the second biggest factor whether or not someone gets a game. And Dying Light 2 is not priced fairly for what it is. Items from the Pilgrim Outpost can only be redeemed once per account unfortunately. So if you have already Redeemed them on your Playstation profile, you will be unable to Redeem them for your PC account.

Would a SSD help with texture loading? I'm on PS4 and a lot of the time I enter an area and the audio is out of sync and the people have no heads or are gray in the face. I tried messing with some video settings and it didn't seem to improve. Also, if I have the game running for like 6-8 hours, some times it'll just freeze up entirely and I have to close the app. Is that a memory leak?

It would make stealth gameplay better especially with runners who are attracted to sound.
